  1. That was fun. I think I'm allowed to say that Green Day played 4-5 songs for the fans in between takes. The filming was cool but those songs were the best bits. Billie threw lots of guitar picks with questions like: 'What's my favourite colour?' 'What number is on my mind right now?' 'What is my dog's name?' 'Who has the most spikes in their hair?' He didn't actually wait for anyone to answer. He just threw them at the first people he saw 😂 He also announced 'oof, my back' twice. Mike kept telling us we were killing it. The first time they played a song just for fun, Tre refused to play more when Billie asked because he didn't want to get sweaty. The barrier was mostly filled with hired actors but some fans got onto it in the centre and I got onto it past Mike, towards the end with some of the lovely ladies I met in the queue. There's such a small gap between the barrier and stage at the Palladium that I felt almost as close as I did when I was technically closer at stadiums. I can't believe I was still jumping at the end considering the jet lagged state I'm in 😂 If I remember more that I can share I will, but I need to sleep now.

  2. I think I’ve had nightmares where I’m at a Green Day show and all they play is KYE over and over 😜

  3. It's gonna be so cool! I hope this movie will get a tons of easter egg for hardcore fans like us.

  4. I cannot imagine acting all hyped up while listening the KYE for the third time in a row But I'm guessing the vibe there, in a small venue and with the band playing live might have kept people hyped throughout the 5 takes. My first thought after knowing they were using KYE for the movie was that maybe they are doing the "bringing someone on stage" bit for the movie, but since it's not mentioned in the setlist I guess maybe not (or maybe that is the one secret people who were there decided to keep). Very nice that they played a small set and a few snippets for the benefit of the fans there. Hope Tre didn't get too sweaty in the process

  5. I saw that setlist and was laughing, because, what's one of the number one songs people say they never want to see live again? So they play it a dozen times. 😄 Of course, I'm guessing it's relevant to the movie, like the kids "knowing their enemy."

  6. Yeah we'll find every single one. They can't keep secrets and easter eggs from the GDC for long lol

  9. When Billie played that bit of Corvette Summer there was a collective gasp and that little shit knew exactly what he'd done when it didn't continue 😂 I have to admit I didn't recognise Pollyanna. I don't think I've even listened to it in full. #FakeFan 😤 I could tell I was in the company of fellow ADHDers because Billie kept playing random chords and Tre tapped away at his drums whenever there was a lull 😂 Now I've had some sleep I can't believe that was all an actual thing I experienced. Green Day were probably onstage for a maximum of 3 of the 12 hours we were all there - there was a lot of waiting around and we had to leave to eat then go back in - but it was a unique and unforgettable experience for sure. The local fans were so nice 🥰 The lady next to me had never seen Green Day and said she was a reasonably casual fan, but after the first song she was like, 'this is the best day ever!' Pretty sure it's OK to comment on random impromptu bits of songs because they didn't have anything to do with the film... it says we can't post 'material in connection with the Picture,' not the event itself.

  12. Is that Wunderhorse I hear you say? *looks over at empty wallet and weeps* Wunderhorse + Green Day is indeed a fking great combination. I know I'm a bit of a fanboy, but they are fantastic imho. Whoever makes it to this/these gig(s), enjoy Also, does anyone think they might record the shows, seeing they're playing two nights? I was wondering the same thing for Yokohama. I mean, people talked about there being cameras at the Wembley gig last summer, but nothing much seems to have come from that thus far?

  14. Unbelievably I am outside the Hollywood Palladium right now 😂 I'm in LA to see my girlfriend and this was very convenient timing. I got here just before 8AM and was numbered 23. There are about 10 more people behind me. Lots of people have flown in and some camped out. The vibe around me is nice so far. No idea what to expect from the show but I'm sure it'll be fun. Probably can't say anything else about it until the film is out because we're not supposed to post about it online.

  16. (I am probably preaching to the choir here, so apologies in advanced lol) Does anyone else think that Billie Joe's voice is just sooo releasing? I was listening to Tre (the album) last night and right when I pressed play and Brutal Love began, I started to cry. His voice is just so soothing and just what I needed.

  26. I had a dream last night that I was trying to get to a baseball stadium, but I got lost and actually went to a "Green Day party". It looked like a warehouse with boxes everywhere, lol. It was supposed to be a saviors party I think. I saw that they bought black chairs and sofas with a pink foot rest. No one was there tho lol... just me. But the scariest part is when I drove away I found the baseball stadium and it actually links to a nightmare that I had a while ago. I guess we know what happened before my previous baseball stadium nightmare loll.

  30. I’m gonna watch the whole movie just waiting for them to appear in the last ten minutes. I could rewatch Ordinary World to infinity because Billie’s in every scene. This sounds like something I’ll see once.

  33. So, for the last half year or so I've been struggling with kinda poor mental health, some days better, some worse, but all in all not great. Thus, when I got to visit San Francisco (and Oakland/Berkeley) recently as part of my job, I was delighted. I did a mini GD-related tour of the bay area and it cheered me up tremendously and also made me grateful for, despite everything, having been able to do have done this. I often felt like a small kid truth be told haha very nerdy I know but, especially being from Europe, it was really cool Chinatown in San Francisco Ashby/Longview house in Berkeley No explanation needed "Jesus filling out paperwork now, at the facility on East 12th Street" - (view from BART train, Oakland near Fruitvale St) Also rode past the warehouse on 7th street near West Oakland Station (Welcome To Paradise), no pic of that though, I was too slow. Oakland's Fox Theatre and The Warfield in San Francisco (guys give us the full concert man, please, I'm begging ya) this part of San Fran (Mission District) has changed a lot but it's where the scene of the guys walking in When I Come Around was filmed (at night), I also passed through Powell station, also seen in that video. It's probably my favourite Green Day music video so seeing the filming locations was very cool and a few other bits and bobs Btw there's been much talk about San Francisco's social problems at the moment and they are definitely noticeable right in the city centre (the infamous Tenderloin district and adjacent areas), but it is still a beautiful and vibrant city in my view, with a lot to offer, not least great public transport for US standards, interesting topography and a lot of variety in terms of the different neighbourhoods, plus great walkability. Needless to say I enjoyed my stay there and would love to visit again at some point.

  34. It’s a little indie film and when the filmmaker is a fan and friend of the band I’m guessing he doesn’t care

  35. ^ Now I’m sad they’re not doing a horror film. 😭 Something about this project confuses me, like who will watch it outside Green Day fans. I guess it’s just a comedy with Green Day elements but I just don’t…get it. It’s a fun idea and all, I guess I’m just curious to see how it will be marketed and how wide of a release it will get.
