In fact, dare we say it’s even more relevant today than when written! Amazing.6 points

I love American Idiot for this reason: It never gets old or unrelatable, and it will always have political/personal significance in society. https://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2025/03/20/green-days-political-masterpiece-is-relevant-again---and-rising/6 points

Exactly. Most protest records that are specific to an era don't age well, but this....well, sadly, "Don't wanna be an American idiot" is always going to apply. "Sieg Heil to the President X-Man", shall we say....4 points

My local store is out of their stock of pods and it looks like they’re not getting any more in. After that initial rollout, I’m not sure if stores near me (or the 7-11s) will continue to sell it. They don’t seem to have shelf space.3 points

This is the greatest reading of a speech in the history of humanity. Glorious.3 points

So let‘s keep voting! I‘ve already voted twice, although having to vote in all categories is a bit annoying. I‘m voting for artists I’ve never heard of… 😂 (Except for Bring Me The Horizon who I actually like.)2 points

Just bought a The Network shirt AND the trading cards. Wait, did I accidently go to the stupid Green Day community when I clearly meant to go to The Network Network? I do that all the time! So sorry. While the items are mysteriously coming from California for some reason, the shipping appears to be moving WAAAAAAY faster than any stupid Green Day merch I've ordered. We'll see how quickly this stuff arrives. https://store.thenetworkband.com/en/the-network/astro-prism-t-shirt/M627382.html https://store.thenetworkband.com/en/the-network/network-trading-card-set/090317576244.html2 points

It's unofficial audio from the Manchester show in 2010. The venue is a cricket ground, hence the title. It's been knocking around for years though.1 point

To be subtly and naturally led or attracted to something, often a path or direction, without a conscious or forceful effort. It suggests a gentle almost instinctive pull towards something that resonates with your inner self.1 point

Goes to show it's not just sports stars that get to advertise and promote well know products. I remember the resent posters that where everywhere, including my home town, showing Billie Joe wearing and promoting headphones. Even today in the mainstream advertising arena, Green Day are still relevant, well know and respected. Nice one.1 point
