  3. The taxi driver who brought me into town said 'I can't believe you came to JAKARTA just to see Green Day' and I can't believe I'm coming here to say I did indeed go to Jakarta just to see Green Day. 😂 Back when I first became a fan, I read about the crazy Jakarta show in 1996 and thought I'd like to see them here one day, but I never thought I'd seriously do it. Since I was taking my mum to Japan anyway, I bought a ticket as soon as they went on sale and as it got closer I was like, 'what the fuck have I done?' But I got here and arrived at the venue around noon. There was no shade in the queue and I seriously thought I was coming down with heatstroke. Actually got up to leave at one point because I felt so faint but I dunked a whole bottle of water on my head and cooling towel (highly recommend the Sukeen ones) and started to feel better. I got lost on the way in because the place was huge but thanks to a Singaporean fan and some lovely Indonesian people I got onto the barrier where the crowd was split. The staff gave out plenty of water so by the time Rebellion Rose finished I felt much better. Rebellion Rose were really good. That was the loudest crowd I've ever been in for Bohemian Rhapsody and that carried on into American Dream. I was impressed! Haven't heard anyone screaming that song so loud before. The crowd gradually got a bit quieter, probably because of the heat. Several people had to be pulled out. I'd decided I wouldn't jump or go too crazy because of the potential heatstroke but I couldn't help it when Paper Lanterns started. Loved hearing that song again and Forever Now!!! Hands down one of the best Green Day songs, especially live, and I never thought I'd be fortunate enough to hear it again. There were quite a lot of phones and Billie told everyone to put them away during Longview. Of course he then had us all get them back out for the flashlights in Boulevard. The girl who got onstage for Know Your Enemy forgot the lyrics and Billie was so sweet about it. She sang the chorus to make up for it and she rocked! As a Muslim it made me so happy to see someone in hijab onstage 🥹 Billie behaved perfectly appropriately too, just giving her a fist bump. Unrelated to the gig itself but it was surreal to see a musholla at a Green Day show, with the sign in the Saviors font and everything😂 I ended up going as crazy as ever throughout the show but the heat exhaustion must have passed because I never felt ill again. Bobby Sox was the highlight for me. Billie asked 'do you want to be my girlfriend?' and 'do you want to be my boyfriend?' before starting the song and both times men and women screamed 'YEEEEES!!!' When Billie came out for Good Riddance, he joked, 'Jesus, how many people here can play Good Riddance? Well, I can play it too!' He asked if we wanted him to play it or someone from the crowd and everyone roared 'YOU!' He said he'd play it and 'I won't mess it up.' He did burp though. There were people from all over at the show - Philippines, Singapore, China, Saudi, Korea and of course me from England 😆

  4. Time differences largely. Love these little videos, always from his bed with so many clothes on, makes me think the hotel rooms are freezing. 😂

  11. Why is no one talking about Billie's latest after-show video? Came here the second I saw it, and thought the thread would be on fire (By the way, I'm glad to see those are back, I hope they're here to stay, I had missed them )

  12. I don't think there is a single song on Dookie which we can call underrated. Dookie as a whole is highly appreciated, it's milestone. Obviousy only singles get radio attention and the rest not, so it's understood that some of Dookie songs are less popular.

  14. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the person got booted for being too young so now they are back with a new account.

  15. Both nights front of pit in Vienna and one normal pit ticket in Amsterdam were only a little more expensive than a single GA pit ticket in the US lol. I'm glad I will be in Europe next summer and will get to see GD 3 times

  17. Either Dos or Tre. Both have standout songs on them (I mean...Brutal Love!) but as a whole they don't really hold my attention. While I can stomach listening to Uno front to back, I tend to skip around the most on Dos and especially Tre.

  19. Besides FOAM, I have to admit it's... Kerplunk! I know this album is loved by mamy, but as a whole Kerplunk never grabbed my attention. I only like it... I never had in on repeat to be totally immersed and captivated. I really like One For The Razorbacks, Christie Road, 80 but not the rest to be honest. But interestingly enough, I love 39/Smooth. I had a phase when I'd would listen to it on repeat, totally immersed. The same with other GD albums, but not Kerplunk. I'd rather put some FOAM songs like MMOTR, TTMAC (which are great) above Kerplunks - Dominated Love Slave, Sweet Chilsren, Strangeland, My Generation and Welcome to Paradise.

  25. Father of All. Though I wasn't a fan of it initially, as I listen to it more, it is starting to grow on me. Still, not my favorite, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

  27. Better late than never…😉 I think I‘m quite happy to live in Europe to see these shows here, the circumstances seem better and the ticket prices aren’t that horribly high. And yes, hoping for great setlists for Vienna, I really really want to hear Forever Now! See you in June, maybe…

  30. 2 months later lol, but yeah in America, the GA pit area isn't as large, it's just a small area of standing section on the floor, and the rest of the floor are folding chairs. It's dumb, but they can sell those for platinum prices. I know you can't judge from Youtube videos, but the crowds in Europe also seem way more energetic, louder, and mosh more than American crowds. Seems like there are less cell phones in Europe too. I can't wait for June, 4 months away. These setlists from the Asia run are really intriguing, I wonder what setlist changes and special songs we could see from Vienna Night 1 to Night 2. Not regretting going both nights now!

  32. Sassafras Roots. It's probably my favorite song on the record, yet it's not mentioned a lot whenever there's Dookie conversation. Maybe I'm just a sucker for those pop melodies, but I love that song.

  33. Kerplunk. I know, I know. It's a great album but it's the one I revisit the least.
