I hate to tell you that I think it’s actually an Omega Seamaster and costs about 12.5k GBP so around 15.5k USD. Very nice and I think he’s worn it before but can’t remember where. He also had a very nice gold chain in his wrist, you can tell it’s hefty by how it hangs. He got his bling out for the Grammies.5 points

I understand losing to The Beatles. Now and Then, while not my favorite Beatles song, is still a really good track and is the final Beatles song with all of them playing on it. Many people around the world, including myself, listened the moment it was released. The track was worked on for years, as recently as 2022. And, AI just separated the tracks on John's demo for better mixing/clarity. I wish Paul McCartney never said anything because now so many people think that John's voice was artificially created — which is not the case. I encourage everyone to watch the short film on YouTube to understand the work that went into the song. Also, Billie Joe, Mike, and Tré are all huge fans of The Beatles and The Stones so I don't think losing will sting that much — especially after the gigantic Saviors tour which grossed $132 million and was the band's best-selling tour to date. They'll be fine, haha. What I don't understand is Dilemma losing to Broken Man by St. Vincent3 points

I guess verbally complain about bands they hate and then if you stand up for Green Day, they get all awkward and change the subject to the weather or something. Haha.3 points

It‘s the same on Instagram. I guess haters are everywhere. What the hell did they do before social media?3 points

Oh my god it really is the same thing every time. It sucks that it's in every comment section but it's just cringe Trump worshippers who were never fans. It's not people who used to like them changing their opinion it's just haters and people who know nothing about them getting exposed to posts about them when they wouldn't have in the past because of how shitty the Facebook algorithm is now purposely ragebaiting people to comment by showing them things their demographic might dislike. The lesbian comment is so stupid because they wouldn't even consider it an insult since they're not bigoted losers.3 points

My husband has a great love of little noise machines (he has a whole assortment of fart machines, cartoon sounds etc) and just loves using them at the most inappropriate times, Billie’s little gadget made me think maybe he’s as bad!2 points

It's a bummer to see the comments whenever Green Day is mentioned on Facebook. Only two types of comments: "Green Day were good until they brought politics into it. Worst band ever!" "Who are these old lesbians?" Anti-social media, man.2 points

I couldn’t care less about the Grammys. It was great to see them get nominated as it’s a recognition of their work, but all in all, I just don’t like it when we turn art into a competition. I know that the Grammys are prestigious and all, but award shows are just a weird concept… That Beatles thing though…I don’t know, that’s just bizarre.2 points

Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong accessorized his black suit with an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M. With a two-tone design of 18K moonshine yellow gold and stainless steel, it features brushed and polished finishes, with a bold red sunray dial adding a signature touch of punk to his look. The price of that watch is almost 7 grand. I love the last line of this btw lmaaaoooo. Man the american dream really is killing these guys.1 point

Gotta love billie joe being a commercial for that watch he's getting in the pics and video interviews. Thats an almost 7 thousand dollar watch. He's never worn a watch before and I'm calling this bullshit.1 point

"... brought politics into it." Don't they know green day has been a political band since forever? If the government doesn't kill us it will be these dumbasses 🙄1 point

I wasn't really expecting Green Day to win anyway. At most, I thought maybe Dilemma might win. But it's the Grammys so who actually cares?1 point

Meh at least that mean Green Day will win a Grammy when they'll be dead.1 point

I‘m really sad. They would have deserved it so much… I love that record! Well, at least I’ve got a reason now for whining together with the Swiftie daughter…1 point

This. They released a new album with new material in the same cycle as Green Day. Sure, I wanted Green Day to win, but it is what is. I wouldn't say they had their time and therefore should be considered as a legacy band.... by that token anyone could say Green Day had their time in the 90's and that they should make way for newer bands. Even people who was born the year AI was released, are 20 years old right now, fully grown adults with the right to vote, so I'm sure plenty of them would feel the same way about Green Day, that they had their time and are a legacy band now. The Beatles though... !! They're just not an artist who is still making new music. I don't buy too much into the argument that it's AI generated, as @RongoIK said I think it's more accurate to think of it as a very powerful noise reduction tool. But it's still their voice, their lyrics, their arrangements, so I'm fine with that. But for me it's more a historical artifact that was restored, than something that should be competing (and winning) against artists who are still making new music. (And I also believe they are overly hyped to begin with).1 point

I think I’ve noticed him wear a watch twice before and one of those was on the Back In The USA video! Don’t remember the other one now. Mike is very cute in his glasses. ❤️❤️❤️1 point

I can go with RS winning, their age shouldn’t matter at all as long as the humans are still making music - just my opinion, but the Beatles record is a complete fake and that I object to. Surely the likes of the Grammies should be trying to protect actual musicians and artists and not grouping AI/faked “music” alongside human performance but I guess with the amount of shit already out there that that boat has sailed! On a positive note, if you have to lose, losing to the Beatles and the Stones is no shame. I’ve never heard of St Vincent before, will need to look them up. As already said, the guys looked great and had fun on the red carpet.1 point

Just heard it all yesterday on the treadmill. Still love it start to finish. We’re lucky to get such a great album at this late stage of their career.1 point

I've never questioned it. I just...appreciate it I first experienced this when watching Bullet in a Bible. I got it for Xmas that year. After we opened gifts I raced to my room to watch it. I was SHOOK when we got to HAR. But when Billie started with the moaning I rushed to mute the TV so my mom wouldn't walk in questioning what the hell she just bought for me When I saw GD in 2016 during the RevRad club tour he did a tamer version. He didn't go full on the floor but there was crotch touching and some "ooos."1 point

Haven't stopped listening since it came out and don't think I will for a long time! Agree it's been such a great era! Beautiful album and phenomenal live shows1 point

I was bumping Saviors yesterday and it still holds up. Listening to it makes me smile. Everything about the era was amazing, especially after FOAM, which came out at the worst time.1 point
