  2. Once a year he sips from the fountain of youth. He's so greedy he won't reveal its location, but he knows where it is.

  5. @pacejunkie punk It really has — he’s been like continuously de-aging for two years now! He looks amazing, and looking so happy looks great on him, too.

  6. I realize this comment is overdone to the point of being comical, but I feel like Billie looks even younger than he did on the tour last year and I don’t know how he keeps getting away with this.

  8. I watched the entirety of Green Day’s show at Outside Lands 2022 today, and man, I’ll say it is the best modern Green Day show on YouTube. They were all on fire and feeling it that night 🔥, the sound was also amazing. I was listening through my phone speakers and I could hear every instrument clearly, even the bass.

  11. Also, what's with this man and razor blades? Has anyone counted how many songs Green Day and side projects' songs have those words?

  13. Had a dream that I was watching a current GD show and was very happy bc Billie had dyed his hair black again. But then it switched to him on Celebrity Jeopardy and he had his hair in a blond ponytail. 🫤

  17. Spotify played me Holy Toledo yesterday. First time I hear this song and of this song, and I must say I'm obsessed. Just a mix of the lyrics being about something starting off so wrong but ending up in a really good (even if messy and chaotic) place, and the music following this same trajectory but being mostly just so cheerful. It immediately took me back to a period of my life that felt very much like that, around 2016 - 2018 (cannot believe it's been almost 10 years 😱). So now I'm interested in knowing more about the song, but a quick Google search didn't turn up much. Basically just that it was released in 2021 for the soundtrack of a movie (from the name of the movie and the lyrics of this song I can already imagine the whole plot 😅). But is there anything else known about this song? Was it written for the movie, or was it something they had lying around and used it for the sound track? From the lyrics and vibe, I'd place this song in the Trilogy era. I feel it would fit perfectly in Dos!

  20. Has it been a year already? Jeez, that doesn’t seem possible. Think it’s safe to say Saviors is very solid work. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel but coming after FOAM it was a needed return to form. Good production, good writing, good tour.

  21. Coffee is my main concern when the power goes out. Inverters that plug into the car won't run a coffer maker and even some smaller generators won't run them. Coffee is up there with Green Day in my brain. If I don't get at least 12 ounces of coffee and a blended up copy of nimrod a day, the results are catastrophic.

  22. Thought I'd be clever and played the whole album through, any excuse. That didn't work coz love every song. Certainly not an underrated track but fav is Welcome to Paradise, coz I heard it first on Kerplunk, back in '91. Love the video. Sorry, hope you don't mind, I know I'm not really keeping to the question, but I wondered what tract has been played least on tour over the years. And from the list below from that amazing site Setlist.fm, from record available, Emenius Sleepus is bottom played only 46 times. Amazingly, May 27, 2013 was first live performance. Does that make it underrated? However, most recent live performance was on September 28, 2024 during current Saviors tour. Here's link. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/albums/green-day-13d68939.html Dookie Longview (1068) Basket Case (1028) She (887) When I Come Around (801) Burnout (316) Chump (246) F.O.D. (242) All by Myself (167) Coming Clean (104) In the End (54) Having a Blast (52) Pulling Teeth (50) Sassafras Roots (48) Emenius Sleepus (46) * Welcome to Paradise performances listed under Kerplunk album

  23. Yep, Sassafras Roots for me too. I have not yet heard it live yet, but I will get to finally hear it in March in Melbourne next year. And "Basket Case, She, Sassafras Roots, When I Come Around" is my favourite block of 4 songs in a row on any of the albums. I am already expecting to get pretty emotional when those 4 are played in a row next year.

  24. Can any track off Dookie be called underrated? I really love FOD though.
