  1. 24 January 2025 On this day 15 years ago (24 January 2010), Green Day played the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. 20 years ago (24 January 2005), Green Day played the Brixton Academy in London, England on the American Idiot Tour. More photos (by Pete StillšŸ˜ž This photographer has an eBay shop if anyone is interested. I bought his Brixton and Milton Keynes photos because I can still appreciate some photography, despite regretting my career choices. 24 years ago (24 January 2001), Green Day played the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI on the Warning Tour. 27 years ago (24 January 1998), Green Day played the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, Scotland. 29 years ago (24 January 1996), Green Day played a second night at Club Kitta in Kawasaki, Japan. 32 years ago (24 January 1993), Green Day played Club Nowhere in Orlando, FL. More photos: 35 years ago (25 January 1990), Green Day played Bam Bam's in Bakersfield, CA. ------------------- 25 January 2025 On this day 5 years ago (25 January 2020), Green Day played the NHL All-Star Game at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO. They played four songs outside before the game, and played Basket Case and American Idiot during an intermission inside the arena. That's a really nice shot. More photos: 8 years ago (25 January 2017), Green Day played the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway on the Revolution Radio Tour. ^ I actually got a decent phone photo! These were alright, too: Anyway, this was one of my favourite shows I remember running in and seeing a completely empty barrier for the first time ever. I was in Jason's corner of the catwalk which was the best spot I'd ever had. Billie kept saying ā€˜tusen takk’ (thank you very much) and ā€˜jeg elsker deg’ (ā€˜I love you’). I caught a pick he threw to me for the first time and put it on a necklace. I don't really care about setlists (unless they play Rock 'n' Roll All Nite or whatever it's called... THEN I will finally complain) and so it can be hard to explain why some shows are so special, but they're just magical somehow. Photos of the queue from the My Rage My Love My Life project: More (professional) photos: 15 years ago (25 January 2010), Green Day played in Nagoya, Japan on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. 20 years ago (25 January 2005), Green Day played a second night at the Brixton Academy in London, England on the American Idiot Tour. More photos: 24 years ago (25 January 2001), Green Day played the Exhibition Hall in Madison, WI on the Warning Tour. 27 years ago (25 January 1998), Green Day played a second night at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, Scotland. 29 years ago (25 January 1996), Green Day played the Club Diamond Hall in Nagoya, Japan on the Insomniac Tour. Interesting to see how they often play the same places on the same dates over the years. 32 years ago (25 January 1993), Green Day played the Brass Mug in Tampa, FL.

  3. @pacejunkie punk It really has — he’s been like continuously de-aging for two years now! He looks amazing, and looking so happy looks great on him, too.

  6. I haven't seen any mention of it on Instagram, so I think someone was either trolling or confused šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø I was just on a video call with to my partner when he joined one of his colleagues who went to the show last night, and of course I asked him about the show. The guy is a pretty casual listener (he felt the need to inform me they closed with Time of Your Life how cute is that?), but he was converted. "They played song after song! and they had so much energy! It was just amazing!" He sounded still really hyped and really happy about the show. I felt proud ā˜ŗļø

  7. Also, what's with this man and razor blades? Has anyone counted how many songs Green Day and side projects' songs have those words?

  8. They spoiled us so much with the double album shows last year. As much as I'd love to get 37 songs again, we have to admit 24 songs is a perfectly good set list.

  9. Didn't see anything posted about this. The boys have earned 3 nominations for this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards! Hopefully, they'll perform again! https://bsky.app/profile/greendayofficial.bsky.social/post/3lgebdqjruc2u

  10. Once a year he sips from the fountain of youth. He's so greedy he won't reveal its location, but he knows where it is.

  11. Had a dream that I was watching a current GD show and was very happy bc Billie had dyed his hair black again. But then it switched to him on Celebrity Jeopardy and he had his hair in a blond ponytail. 🫤

  12. But I want more Saviors's songs. If they didn't played them this years when they'll play them

  13. I realize this comment is overdone to the point of being comical, but I feel like Billie looks even younger than he did on the tour last year and I don’t know how he keeps getting away with this.

  15. Any chance they played it to get the crowd going? Like sometimes festival crowds aren't quite as receptive?

  17. Today (23 January 2025), Green Day are playing the DHL Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa on the Saviors Tour. More photos and setlist on GDA On this day 14 years ago (23 January 2011), Mike joined Billie Joe for the encore on Broadway. 15 years ago (23 January 2010), Green Day played the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. This was one of two shows at this arena that were filmed for the Awesome as Fuck DVD. More photos: 20 years ago (23 January 2005), Green Day played the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England on the American Idiot Tour. More photos: 24 years ago (23 January 2001), Green Day played the Hara Arena in Dayton, OH on the Warning Tour. 27 years ago (23 January 1998), Green Day played Scattered on TFI Friday at Riverside Studios in London, England. More photos: 29 years ago (23 January 1996), Green Day played CLUB CITTA in Kawasaki, Japan on the Insomniac Tour. 32 years ago (23 January 1993), Green Day played Rockafellas in Columbia, SC. That was definitely one of the most batshit things I've ever done But I'd do it again as long as I had the money. The driver had never been to Prague before so I hope he had a good time!

  18. Hi, I’m going to this show too, as I have a business trip there at the same time. I opted for the VIP ticket. Yes, I believe so. Dubai has a large expat population, so there will likely be plenty of Green Day fans. I also think people will travel from Asia and nearby countries to attend. Since this is their first time in Dubai, expect everyone to be really excited! Cheers,

  20. I think because he’s so incredible at his day job (at the last GD show I went to I literally thought mid-concert ā€œHe’s so good at his job!ā€ lol), it makes it all that much more interesting to see him in a more relaxed setting where he can hang back and jam. Because we know he can command a room no problem, it’s neat to see his quiet confidence in a more subdued role. For whatever reason I think it’s so cool (and very attractive) to just see him play guitar. That said, as time goes on I really do think Frontman Billie has become less of a performance and more like Regular Billie, which I love.

  21. Agreed, I really prefer Green Day but it is something special, feels like he’s just himself though I think in full on Green Day he’s an extraordinary frontman. ā¤ļø

  22. Absolutely, so cool to see him just enjoying playing songs he likes and stepping back whenever Jason was singing lead Another important detail: he was wearing skinny jeans

  23. He looked so handsome at the show. 🄹 I have a particular thing for watching him play these shows rather than Green Day shows — he’s not in frontman mode as much, he’s just chill hanging back and playing guitar. It’s really cool to see.

  24. Billie looked gorgeous at the Coverups show. He was so cheerful and smiley and it looked like he and Jason were having a contest for floofiest hair

  25. Having really enjoyed AI 20th Box Set, it remined me of this amazing 14 minutes of heaven with the band in the studio recording AI. Love pretending I've got an exclusive seat there in the studio, listening to and loving every jaw dropping minute, as they discuss and develop each song. Maybe this should have been included in the box set.

  26. Had a dream that I had like 4 GD-themed teddy bears that my cousin kept trying to rip up so I made him sign a homemade contract saying if my bears got damaged I could legally smack the shit out of him. Then a GDCer used my contract template to win a bunch of carnival games using lateral thinking lol

  27. Had a dream that Kevin and Vicki were trying to take a selfie with their kid in the car, but Billie was in the backseat cuddling with a St Bernard and kept getting into the shot.
