  1. Can I ask that this forum follow along with the Green Day subreddit and every other major subreddit and ban Twitter/X links from now on? Screenshots if you must but I would rather see the whole site shunned after the owner turned full Nazi. Just ask yourself what Green Day would do. Nazi punks fuck off and fuck Twitter/X. Let’s close this thread

  4. On this day 8 years ago (22 January 2017), Green Day played the Tipsport Arena in Prague, Czech Republic on the Revolution Radio Tour. 8 whole years since I missed the Polskibus so I took an Uber from Krakow to Prague (335 miles) to make sure I didn't miss Green Day. The long story I wrote back then: More photos: 24 years ago (22 January 2001), Green Day played the DeltaPlex Arena & Conference Center in Grand Rapids, MI on the Warning Tour. 27 years ago (22 January 1998), Green Day played a second night at the SFX Hall in Dublin, Ireland on the Nimrod Tour. 32 years ago (22 January 1993), Green Day played Twisters in Richmond, VA. 12. The Uber to Prague story That's hilarious, crazy, and also I can totally see myself doing the same in that situation. I bet the guy still remembers that as one of his top interesting stories while working as an Uber

  14. Didn‘t wanna say it here on GDC but I‘m glad Tom told the truth. So, now I’m allowed to say I wrote Jesus of Suburbia when I was 13.

  16. Weird thing is, it still shows as #2 on Billboard's page. But it does showing them with a new peak on Mainstream Rock Airplay at #9.

  18. 20 January 2025 20 years ago (20 January 2005), Green Day played the Philipshalle in Düsseldorf, Germany on the American Idiot Tour. 24 years ago (20 January 2001), Green Day played the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC on the Warning Tour. 27 years ago (20 January 1998), Green Day played Ulster Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland on the Nimrod Tour. Ticket from Paul's Gigography 29 years ago (20 January 1996), Green Day played the Matsushita IMP Hall in Osaka, Japan on the Insomniac Tour. -------------- 21 January 2025 On this day 8 years ago (21 January 2017), Green Day played in Krakow, Poland on the Revolution Radio Tour. I remember having a conversation with the staff at Mountain Warehouse in Falmouth about whether a wizard-themed tent for kids would be suitable for camping on a snowy street in Poland (it wasn't and they were worried I was going to die). Fortunately no-one camped overnight. I got there about 6:30AM and was 15th in the queue. There were fans from Finland, Ukraine and all over Poland there. A girl from Warsaw said the ticket and travel costs were an entire month’s wages to her, but it was her first chance to see Green Day and she knew it would be worth it. People gave out "bang" signs in the queue and everyone held them up during Bang Bang. Billie took one of the photographers' cameras to film them. Scattered was the highlight for me. Such a shame they didn't keep playing it. Some photos of the queue from the My Rage My Love My Life project: More photos of the show (credit: rockmetal.pl) 25 years ago (21 January 2010), Green Day played the Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka, Japan on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. 19. The dates don’t line up. We know the lyrics for Basket Case were finished sometime before they played Gilman on 11/18/1992. They didn’t sign with Reprise until April of 1993. The guy is full of shit (obviously).
