  4. I agree, but as long as we don't go back to the Macy's Day Parade video look, I won't pick too much 😄 Also, I love how for the St. Louis patch tonight, the cat's holding a baseball bat even though the show isn't at Busch III 😄

  5. I'll be at this show and cannot wait to hear Dookie and American Idiot in their entirety.

  6. 😆 that's so cute! Sucks that the show was rushed at the end but at least they did their best to complete the encore.

  8. Pretty special version of Good Riddance 😂 Might not have been ideal for the first time Green Day concert goers who missed the more traditional and emotional version, but pretty cool for people who've seen them before!

  10. Hey! How dare you say that to The Grohl! I will drink 20 pots of coffee and go berserk on you if you besmirch the name of Foo Fighters again!

  11. Yeah, I noticed other than the Be silently drawn, you could see the car tattoo since he had another button open. We don't get to see that one as much.

  12. This is great! The 1996 show was one of the biggest moments in the Indonesian punk scene at the time. If anyone is interested, I've written a short article about it on GDA. https://www.greendayauthority.com/news/6179/ My trove of useless Green Day knowledge is finally of some (minor) use!

  14. On this day 7 years ago (16 August 2017), Green Day played in Noblesville (Indianapolis), IN on the Revolution Radio Tour. If you think I already posted this on the 14th, you would be correct. They actually played in Maryland Heights (St. Louis) on the 14th. I'll add the correct photos and info to that post. My brain is fried. More photos: 12 years ago (16 August 2012), Green Day played SHIBUYA-AX in Tokyo, Japan. That was a great setlist with some rarely heard trilogy songs – Nuclear Family, Carpe Diem, Angel Blue (!!!!!!), Kill the DJ, Troublemaker and Lady Cobra. More photos: If only other people had ears as superior as mine, the trilogy might have been popular enough to get an anniversary tour one day. Well, in all seriousness I'm going deaf, so I'm not sure what that actually says about anything I like. The Oh Love video was also released 12 years ago today. More stills, since most people on GDC don't want to subject themselves to the video again: 14 years ago (16 August 2010), Green Day played in Mansfield, MA on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. I could've sworn I saved everything in the Picture Vault from the 21st Century Breakdown era, but apparently not. Have a video of them playing Scattered instead. 15 years ago, Green Day played in Salt Lake City, UT on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. Billie brought his mum onstage during Before the Lobotomy at this show. I'm sure I've seen a photo at some point, but I haven't got it and when I tried to Google it, all I got was a fanfic called "Billie Joe is my stepfather and I hate it." Then I went digging in my "Live Random" folder only to find photos of Billie's arse. Edit: Found a video! More photos: 23 years ago (16 August 2001), Green Day played Rock Oz'Arènes in Avenches, Switzerland. 26 years ago (16 August 1998), Green Day played Zillo Festival in Hildesheim, Germany. More photos: 32 years ago (16 August 1992), Green Day played Saratoga Lanes in San Jose, CA. 33 years ago (16 August 1991), Green Day played the Antenna Club in Memphis, TN. Someone messaged the GDA Instagram saying this was where the band met Jason White. I actually didn't know that so I've no idea if it's true.

  19. That is so rude. Do they want him to do more serious damage and risk cancelling more shows or even the rest of the tour?

  22. That is so messed up some "fans" are like that like wtf Hey has anyone gone to a show at Hershey Park before? It's gonna be my first time. Regardless I'm a little anxious because will they (hershey park) get mad if I were to camp out at midnight the day of the show? Bc I know HP is like an amusement park so Idk how different it is compared to other venues. My friend is going to the show too but he does not want to camp out I do lol I hope you feel better🙏 and glad Billie is now better too as from the pics from Chicago I saw GD posted on insta

  23. Having heard previously unreleased material from other artists, there's usually a good reason it stays unreleased.

  24. Really solid point, there would be massive legal implications to that theft. But yet again, we know most likely The Network stole it and in their jurisdiction this may not even be a crime.

  26. I theorized whether during that press conference Billie and Mike were playing a game between them to see who could randomly drop the word Prednisone into the interview the most times. The way they looked at each other when they did that it sure seemed like a private joke. I could see them doing that just to make the radio promo more fun for themselves

  28. Can I just say, Chicago seems like a pretty special place for Green Day? Think about it.... There's Jaded in Chicago. We kicked off the 99 Revolutions tour after Billie's stint in rehab. We got intimate shows at Aragon and the Metro. Billie had to call out sick, but what was his first show after he got better? Chicago Not to mention Billie said Wrigley is one of his fave stadiums AND we are responsible for the memorable shart story. So clearly....Green Day needs to post up in Chicago. We're a magical city for them. They love us. Just saying....

  29. Amazing show last night. If you had told me 48 hours prior that the show would go forward, I would have been doubtful, given the cancellation of the Hershey and Q101 shows. So, it was really special to be there, and to see Billie looking and sounding as good as he did. In fact, he sounded as good as I’ve ever heard him! It’s great that they’re back to playing 2+ hour shows. It really makes it feel more like a concert compared to the 2021 - 2023 shows, if that makes any sense. Just a better overall Green Day experience, as all that time really allows the band flex their musical muscles, so to speak. To think, by the time American Idiot started in last night’s set, their Hella Mega set would have been nearly over. I was surprised how few fans were lining up for GA, especially in a big market like Chicago. By noon, there were probably only ~20 people in line. By 4:00 doors, maybe only 50-60 people. You could have shown up half an hour after doors and gotten barricade on either side or second row anywhere along the catwalk or in the corners. I pretty much ran into Billy Corgan as he was getting let off in a courtesy vehicle in an alley behind the Wrigley Rooftop buildings around 1:00 PM. There were no other fans back there, and really no security dissuading me from keeping my distance, though I did. I found a set of picks that Hans hid along the barricade, including at least two of Billie’s picks, and we got an additional three during the show! Great experience overall, and a much needed good Green Day experience after the debacle that was Louder Than Life last September.

  30. I sold my 2 tickets in section 127 for a loss to get 3 because my wife and daughter both get to go to their first Green Day show with me. This is probably going to end up my favorite time seeing them, topping Cleveland HOB in my book.
