I was at this one. Part of my first Oakland pilgrimage. Only time I ever saw GD from the seats (never again; just not the same atmosphere or picture opportunity). I remember this was the first show Billie didn't play Ordinary World at (had the capo on the 7th, then tossed it off), which saddened me since I love that song. At least I got to see it at the Aragon.

Rats, I thought at first there was video footage of Storytellers and Irving Plaza, would love high quality versions of those shows.

Same, although in fairness what we are getting is pretty cool, particularly Live at Irving Plaza the full set (EDIT: that’s wrong, see below). That said, no reason they couldn’t have released the full VHS Storytellers set too. They may not own the video but they have the audio files. Also bit disappointed not to see any other unreleased show on there, but I’ll assume they either consider shows like at the Warfield (for those who don’t know what I’m on about, check it out) too niche or they don’t have the tapes. I’m also surprised to see no extended BIAB here, but it’s possible they could do a 20 year re-release of that next year? EDIT: Scrap that, it’s NOT the full NY Live at Irving Plaza set, because they struck Basket Case, Jaded and Longview. Da fuq. Erm… right, just one question for @Billie @Crush or @whoevermadethedecision WHY?? Seriously, it’s… just… three… songs… like argh I love em’ to bits, I really do, but why do they always have to pull one on you like that, sheesh

Maybe in a few years we'll get a 25th anniversary box set for The Network and the demo versions for those songs will be the C&V album 😂

Disappointed were not getting the full VH1 story tellers. Are We The Waiting & St. Jimmy were previously released on a Jesus of Suburbia single. Give Me Novacaine & Homecoming were previously released on Wake Me Up When September Ends singles. The Irving Plaza show is cool but was really hoping for the full story teller show.

Jesus of Suburbia demo is only 2 minutes, so guessing it's section 1 of the full song. Homecoming's demo is 10 minutes so is the full song (with some additional stuff maybe since it's a minute longer). I'm wondering if any of those extra demos with new names are other sections of JoS? It seems weird not to get a full demo version of JoS, or at least demos for each of the 5 parts Honestly, anything that was worth releasing from C&V (if it even existed) probably already got released

If the songs between Homecoming and Whatsername are completely new songs or they used parts of those in the finished Homecoming, I'm glad to hear those. Pretty stoked about the Irving Plaza Soundboard recording, I was waiting for this since the show happened 20 years ago. This is awesome! The 2nd disc is a little disappoint to a collector and fan, since we already got the bonus tracks, but it's nice to have everything in one package!

I will never understand people who spend the whole show behind their screens recordings the full shows. But I certainly do appreciate them a lot.
