I have been inspired to start looking, and thinking about sorting out some of my things. I was quite impressed when I found this 1994 copy of NME in my stuff!😁 I can't believe the size of this magazine, and the fact that it is thirty years old! I didn't buy it in 1994 (I was too young to be into GD), but I bought it off ebay when I first got into them around 2004/2005, so I have had it quite a few years!lol!

Rediscovered my account today, so this is a few days late I had the time of my life (pun definitely intended;)) at the Toronto show on Thursday! I had been dreaming about seeing Green Day live for a few years now and it finally happened and I'm just so happy I got the opportunity to go. Will definitely be going to the next tour

I’m finding the maga guys on GD fb posts fucking annoying now. I commented and some idiot trump supporter says “oh youre one of those you probably voted for Biden” I told the guy straight up I’m not American (for the second time in the interaction). Even if I was I’m a non conformist so you can’t assume something like that because I corrected you for not properly articulating yourself. All I see now is “Green day are pro establishment” from a bunch of Trump supporters who by nature are legitimately pro establishment. It’s like AI era all over again. Can’t even comment on my favourite band’s posts anymore without getting some negative jab from a redneck that lives in a house made of straw.

Wow! I haven't been on GDC in a bit but I flew out to Toronto for this show, everything lined up perfectly and my best friend and I had the trip of a lifetime. Holy fucking shit. Being a lifelong GD fan, I've always known about them being an exceptional live band but getting to witness it live firsthand was such a treat. My friend, who really loves the band but is not as ~hardcore~ of a fan as I am, was genuinely shocked they managed to sound so good for two hours and 18 minutes. I was seated on the floor on the left side in section A2, so our seats were pretty good. I still can't really process the fact that I saw Green Day with my own eyeballs. The setlist was perfect, I would've maybe swapped out KYE for any other song but my aforementioned friend is a huge fan of that song, so getting to see him experience that live was worth it for me! I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time, and was singing my heart out. I won't ever forget that night, that's for sure. One of my friends said "Now you've got the bug. There's nothing like seeing your absolute favorite band live." I think she might be right.

Oooo I think I have this issue! A local record store was going out of business and for one day you could come and grab as much stuff as you wanted for free. The records went real quick, but there were plenty of magazines one of which was a Green Day NME cover. I'll have to dig out all my mags and snap a picture of them. I'm pretty happy with my collection so far

Honestly, I do hope I get to go to the Chicago show, but I'm holding out for a cheap resale ticket. The show is right after I get back from vacation, so that would be a fun week!

Reading through that I'm not seeing what he did or said that was bad? Like, he happened to have had some beers after the show and didn't talk to them as long as they wanted or say the things they wanted? Just sounds like he was a bit drunk and joking around and not there to spend a lot of time talking. Not sure why they'd expect more when just randomly meeting someone (not at a meet and greet etc), sounds like an entitled attitude the way they keep going on and on about how much they spent and traveled as if that entitles them to anything but seeing the show. I can't see a single thing he said there that is particularly dickish or "very rude".

I just watched the show at Isle of White Festival on Youtube. One of my favorite shows ever! How amazing was that? One Eyed Bastard and Dilemma sound great live. Bobby Sox is the perfect kind of "finale" song. Hearing Give Me Novacaine live in front of such a big crowd carries so many emotions. Hopefully they return to Europe with this setlist one more time ❤️ (this time please also in Vienna)
