  1. God I wish I was going to Wembley! This has been the first time I’ve managed to do more than one show and I was a little worried two shows so close together would make the second feel dull or samey but it didn’t at all, in fact it’s made me need more worse than ever!

  2. Had a dream that I went to an abandoned haunted mall, and one of the stores there was like a temple to Green Day. You could listen to professional versions of unreleased songs, interviews that can't be found anywhere else, etc.

  6. I have been wishing for them to alternate between JoS and Homecoming since the American Idiot tour in 2005. I gave up on that hope during the 21stCBD tour in 2009 when they played two nights in a row in NYC and both nights they played JoS. Maybe now that they have seen the crowd loves it they might do it? But I still wouldn't get my hopes up. What an awful experience!! And it could have been so much worse, someone could have gotten gravely injured like that. I am glad it was not the case, but it still must have been so scary. Luckily I didn't see this behavior at any of the shows I attended. In Paris one girl did fall when people dived for the drumsticks, but a guy and I immediately helped her up with no problem. And I didn't see any one get multiple sticks, nor fighting over one. Unpopular opinion, but I kinda hate these. 😅 I mean, I am glad for the people I have seen getting engaged in the videos that have circulated, because they seem so happy. But if my partner proposed to me during a Green Day show, I would be less than thrilled. If he did it while they play the American Idiot set I could slap him, like "pal I am on an emotional roller-coaster here, let me enjoy this ride and we can deal with this later" 😂 if I am in a Green Day concert I want to fully absorb it and experience and commit it to memory, I don't want to be emotionally checked out for part of the show because someone proposed to me. To be fair, for the same reason I don't like wedding proposals at graduations or other significant life events. But again, the people in the videos looked happy and excited, so congrats to them!

  7. Saviors is still such a great album. Often when I can't decide which album I want to listen to, I simply start Saviors because it's just fun to hear from start to end 😌

  12. On my way to my first Green Day show in 7 years. This is gonna be insane.

  13. Saviors is a return to Green Day sticking with 2-3 minute songs for most of a record. They started doing longer songs on warning and continued all the way up to Revolution Radio. They had multi part songs from Idiot to Revolution Radio. Father of All was as excursion into The Short. I wonder if they will do any more multi-movement songs again.

  16. it was an amazing show ❤️ hearing the whole of dookie and american idiot live was an experience i'll cherish for the rest of my life 😇 managed to get to the front of the second barrier (the one behind the pens) and because of the constant moving (jumping and dancing) i got injured which forced me to move back abit to where the tech tower was 🤕 but it was worth the bruises and broken leg ❤️

  17. Just found this info on Wembley Stadium site: Prohibited items Empty plastic reusable bottles are fine to bring into the stadium - these can then be filled at one of our free refillable water stations located inside the stadium. Please note, metal bottles will not be permitted inside the stadium. Oh and happy Green Day eve everyone!!🥳

  18. It was a totally awesome show! Amazing energy start to finish and Billie was really on form. Seeing Dookie played in full was amazing, but getting American Idiot in full was definitely the highlight for me. It was great to hear some of those songs live for the first time (for me). I was lucky and got barrier a few people back from the catwalk, and had an awesome view. Arrived at about 12 noon to join the queue. My highlights were St Jimmy (Billie's energy during that is incredible), and Homecoming when the whole crowd were singing "we're coming home again", it was a real magical, spine-tingling moment that I will always remember. Also Mike and Tre running on at the end during good riddance to goof around with Billie was so cute. It's so great to see how much they are just loving being on stage and being together. You really feel the love and deep friendship between them. Billie said "we're gonna keep doing this forever", I really fucking hope they keep putting out music and touring, these guys are still just right at the top. It was my first Green Day show for 11 years, so pretty special for me. I felt super emotional during the show and also an overwhelming gratitude that these guys are still there for us. IMO GD shows are as much a chance for me to show them my love and gratitude for their work as for them to put on a show for us. Just love these guys so much, they are so unique and special ❤️

  19. I have Mega Evolved into Mega Fangirl over Billie taking my flag. That thing has been with me since the Paris show in 2010. It's been to all kinds of places but its most exciting adventure was definitely Costa Rica where it made it onto TV. Framing it has flag shagger vibes, but I think I'm going to have to retire it and frame it with photos some of Billie holding it.

  21. Billie is looking completely gorgeous, we are getting flashes of hip and bellie and in Glasgow he had a couple of shirt buttons come undone. I’m not looking for any photos of that though, no sir, not hoping there are good, clear photos out there 😙

  22. I hope they don’t drop it but my gut feeling has been telling me they may after this tour. But at the same time they seem to really be having fun with it so I could also seeing them keeping it. I feel like they could get away with alternating between JOS and Homecoming nightly during future tours

  23. This show was possibly my favourite of the tour so far, although only by a tiny margin because the other two were so good. Where I was, everyone was singing, jumping and dancing. The band were really into it. Billie's voice was definitely hoarse yet he still sounded great. I was like, "how is that even possible?!" He's a total pro. While Tre was singing All By Myself, Billie was holding the Scottish flag up at the side of the stage (and then securing it as his cape), which was sweet. The fan who played Dilemma was great. I'm not that into fans doing anything more than Know Your Enemy, but that was just a lovely moment in general. He was so happy and we were all impressed, including Billie! Hard to choose a highlight but it was probably The American Dream Is Killing Me or One Eyed Bastard. I was so happy to be there seeing them again when they came onstage and I'm always that happy to hear One Eyed Bastard. On the way to the train station the day after the show, my friend and I went camera shopping and on the radio I heard the presenter saying "so you know what was the biggest gig of the year in Scotland? No, it wasn't Taylor Swift. It was Green Day!" They were gushing about how great it was. My phone pics are shit, but I'll share some anyway. I've got loads more photos of the fans onstage if they ever see this and want them. It definitely wasn't sold – it was a first come, first serve thing that was split in half, and no-one really knew about it until they saw maps of the park for the show. The VIPs only had access to Mike's side, but GA had access to both. It was a bit of a shitfest and the VIPs were ripped off in several ways, but I'll save that for another post.

  24. Woah, just saw that they uploaded the whole of Dilemma to their Instagram in soundboard quality! I've uploaded it to YouTube for those who don't use Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8rp9dZpkEU/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Bring on that live album Green Day!

  25. Haha! Surely a sign like that would get you on stage!😉 That article is annoying. Describing the guy who got picked to play guitar as 'a crazed fan'.🙄 Surely a crazed fan would try to stab them or something?! Totally the wrong adjective imo.

  26. I think I might agree. The only downside is Billie has less interaction with the crowd, he has a lot to get through. I thought it might feel like they were just ticking boxes but though they blast through each song I got no sense of them just going through the motions, they are clearly getting a kick out of playing both records and new stuff.

  27. Well, this was... simply fabulous. Really, there's something about Glasgow and concerts, a buzz in the air, or something else, but the two just go together incredibly well. and yes, organisation was horrendous, as expected, plus since I had booked a hostel in Edinburgh to catch the first flight back home next morning, it took me a while to get back, including missing the last Scotrail service by just 10 seconds after running from Central to Queen Street and then missing the coach from Buchanan as well haha. But it was all worth it in the end. 100 %. This is probably the best performance I've seen the guys put on so far. Everything from the setlist, weather, sound, stage production and backdrop, Billie's voice, instrumentals: absolutely everything was on point. It was eerily perfect to be honest. Really good sound for an outdoor gig too actually. Obviously, this being my 4th gig, for subjective reasons nothing will ever beat the first time I saw Green Day for purely emotional value, but this concert really is proper live album material and I don't just say that because I was at the gig myself. I would love to see at least a single song on some live compilation or YouTube release. PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE GD The video you posted on TikTok from this gig just once again confirms you have SBD recordings from every show... Anyhow, I managed to get just behind barrier / second row, slightly to the left of the catwalk. Security were handing out blue wristbands to those furthest ahead in the queue, first come first serve, and as I was only 2-3 rows back before the doors opened I got lucky. The guy who got up on stage for Dilemma was standing only around 10 meters further back from where I was. He absolutely nailed the song and his stage presence was perfect too. As Billie said himself "only in Scotland" It was a surreal experience. I actually got to talk to him just after the show, his name is Jake and he has a band "Conflict Hope". They're really good, so go check them out if you have time: Anyhow, excited to see them one last time this tour at Wembley, though I can't see how anything could top all of this. And since I got resale tickets last minute, I'll be in the seating area just to the right of the stage, not in the pit, where I prefer to be. But still, last time they played Wembley 14 years ago it was a great show by the looks of things. So, I expect this time ought to be great as well.

  28. Damn, I need a sign that says can’t play or sing but gives great hugs. 😂😂 My god, was Glasgow even better than Manchester!! Totally awesome show, as in jaw droppingly good. I think Billie choked a bit in WMUWSE. How the hell did people get golden circle, or was it full VIP? I never saw golden circle for sale! Had a great view straight on if further away (annoyingly the park slopes slightly but enough when you’re 5’). The stage settings, light show and pyro are just fantastic and Billie sounded amazing, I thought they were a little louder than in Manchester and Mike’s bass was higher in the mix at times. Sounded great. It rained a bit and I thought we were going to get soaked but it went off and got quite nice for a while, got quite chilly around 10, you can Billie’s nose is pink at the later stages ❤️ I am so tired of sloppy “journalism”! “First time in years” only 2 years, this sounds nearer 20! 🤬

  29. Had a dream I was in the UK to watch the filming of a podcast I watch (which doesn't even film in the UK, but okay). It was filming in Green Day's practice studio. A number of the behind the scenes people were there along with Kevin. He was very interested in the podcast to the point where he joined us in the first row. He was also wearing green lipstick.
