"your job is to love Green Day? I like that, that's a good job, that's my job too" ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/p/C8hFPHnNXVM/5 points

Such a good show, the boys sounded great. Can't believe they ripped through 37 songs in less than 2.5 hours. They honestly put many other bands to shame with what they put in. As a blind person, I can't speak for how it was visually but Billie Joe certainly sounded full of energy and as a whole they sounded fantastic, I'm always blown away by the clarity of Billie's vocals live, as someone who goes to many, many gigs and frequently find that you can't hear the singers that clearly in the moment. A couple of people I went with thought that Billie sounded a bit horse at times, to which I was like well yeah, singing 37 songs must be pretty hard I'll be at Wembley next week, looking forward to it. I'll be introducing two friends to their first Green Day show. Loved Billie's improv during the Chump pause5 points

It was the girl who sang on stage. He pointed out her a lot afterwards4 points

I will be recording it, hopefully if my internet doesn't fuck up, it says it will also be the full set as well!4 points

It was. They also threw in more Saviors stuff this time around. Always great to hear Look Ma and OEB.3 points

I’m just guessing but I think it’ll be like Rock Am ring where they just play some select songs from Dookie and maybe AI still gets played in full3 points

Tuned into Sky Arts now. Love that they’re covering the whole thing including drunk bunny!3 points

Really wish I could be at the UK shows but with these huge venues I'm still just not well enough (well might be able to make it through the show but not the travelling,etc)3 points

I’ve already posted my review of the gig in the gig thread, but it’s worth reiterating how great a gig it was. My family loved it too. It was mums first GD gig and I’m so happy that she really enjoyed it. She knew most of the songs- it was only the first few from Dookie that I had to name as we were leaving after the gig. She’s asked a few times (in a strong Geordie accent) “what was Tre doing prancing about the stage in a dressing gown?” Got loads of pictures on dads phone that we should have a look at. I’m still shattered from getting home at 3:20 this morning. That, and the cost of concert tickets and travel are the reasons why we decided not to see either KOL or the Killers this weekend as well as GD who we’d already booked before the other two groups announced their gigs.3 points

Unfortunately, the screen recording was pretty stuttery. But I know that a Satellite Feed should be up sometime tomorrow.2 points

Someone informed me of a shady ass website that allows me to watch Sky Arts in the States. So I'm gonna attempt a screen recording via my phone. Thankfully, I can also do a direct radio capture, since there's an official way for me to listen to Absolute Radio in the US.2 points

I know this is Green Day Community, but Nothing But Thieves were SO GOOD. Listen to them if you haven't already! One of my favourite bands. McFly, Picture This and Beverly Knight were great too. Tom from McFly is wearing a Green Day shirt.2 points

Wahey! There's me right below Billie's right foot with my head turned to the side. Amazing gig, 8th time seeing them and arguably the best as I got AI in full. Homecoming and Whatsername live were something else and pure emotion. Always seem to have the best time at this venue, was amazing in 2010 as well! Stage seems a little closer to the crowd than somewhere bigger or enclosed stadiums like Wembley/Huddersfield. I also got back into the standing area after going to the toilet just as Bohemian Rhapsody came on and got direct centre three rows from the front by the time TADIKM finished. You don't need to get there hours early, just some perseverance and nouse2 points

Seriously epic show, right up there for those who think they peaked at 21CBD. Sounded amazing, looked fantastic, energy off the scale. 105 stars. Can’t wait to do it all again Tuesday.2 points

I think if they did a tour were they played no hits, just random songs from each album, would be a dream in the same level as getting full Dookie and American Idiot live was. Unlikely to happen, but a girl can dream 😂2 points
-
Really good show! I would say one of the best this tour. Perfect setlist (Bobby Sox and OEB ), complete stage set up and Billie in really good mood (still can’t stop laughing of Sassafras Roots ). And what’s the most important - it was possible to get the barrier without VIP ticket.2 points

No worries someone for sure will have one up! Seemed like a great show from what I’ve read1 point

I'm currently uploading it to YouTube now, it's going to be at least 3 hours, but I have a feeling it's going to get taken straight down due to copyrights.1 point

I’m really glad that they still kept all five Saviors songs on the condensed setlist. I didn’t love the idea that for shorter shows they’d just play oldies instead.1 point
-
I don't know either I have no idea1 point

I think it depends on when and where they are going to sell it. In Germany the merch was sold only inside the venues, so most people just bought their stuff after the show (although I've heard that in Hamburg they shut it while there were still people in line waiting to buy something 🤨). In Arnhem the merch was sold outside the venue and it opened around 2.30.1 point

Merch was very hot I thought. We were there about 5.30 and all patches had gone, t-shirts etc selling hand over fist. There were signs in the stalls saying they would shut at 9.45 but they were still open when gig finished so maybe they aren’t meeting their targets.1 point

It's really exciting that they are playing all five singles a good bit. They haven't done that consistently since American Idiot. They did it with RevRad but no other eras. Breakdown shows could have used Last of the American Girls, but they opted for the more popular deep cut, Last Night on Earth. But yeah, Green Day playing new hits is a HUGE deal. Especially since it goes against the grain of playing two albums every night. I'm excited to see what the future holds for Green Day. The "one-twenty-one hits, the same every night" has been shaken up and now that all the pieces are loose, can evolve into something greater.1 point

Awesome show 🩷 I was trying to avoid seeing too much of the set beforehand so it was awesome seeing how they depicted the dookie and AI artwork. Also love the set switch up, feels fresh without KFAD and Knowledge 😂 my only wish would be swapping KYE with Bang Bang for some RevRad rep, but other than that couldn’t fault it. BJ’s vocals top tier also!1 point

Love reading about everyone's experiences at the shows in Europe. Yes I would love to see a broken up setlist. I loved the 21st Century era tours. Not for complete album, but alot of deep cuts too. Not looking forward to the festival shows this year. Still waiting to see if any discounted tickets come up last minute in San Francisco, not excited about seeing any of the other bands. I miss the Green Day tour in Arenas not with all these other bands. I've seen them every time they tour, seeing all the club shows, but gonna miss this one. first saw them in Petaluma at the Phoenix theater in 1991 and still seeing them today is special.1 point

This is a very important issue, well done on bringing it up!🫡 I always like to collect a few bits of confetti to keep with gig memorabilia! In fact at the Hella Mega Tour, I nearly lost my friend because I dived on the floor to collect some at the end and they didn't realise and started to exit the venue!😬🤣1 point
-
What has the confetti been like? I keep seeing fancy Saviors confetti but it was plain pink and green in Lyon. I filled a bag with it and I'm not sure what to do with it now.1 point

Given this setlist and the massive stage production, I hope they treat us with some edited live footage. Not necessarily a whole production like BIAB/Awesome as F**k, but something Metallica-like, with one song from each concert (so that they can show everyone how they're the greatest live band atm).1 point
-
I miss The Nimrods Podcast, they really missed the boat not reviewing Saviors. I would love to hear their thoughts1 point

Fancy Sauce? 😁 We already got 3 fast ones (American Dream, No Brains, Bobby Sox) and Dilemma as the only slower one - and apparently the most successful one so far based on the numbers posted somewhere above. And usually their greatest hits have been the slowest tunes (Boulevard, Wake Me Up). So I think it's time for some Fancy Sauce. (Lots of bias in this post, to be fair 😂)1 point
-
Shows how long since I’ve said it, we all know it should be bellie! 😂1 point

I was there and I think it was an amazing show. Maybe I’m biased (well, I obviously am) but I’ve seen plenty of big bands headlining these massive festivals and I think this was probably the best headline performance I’ve seen. The atmosphere was great and the band sounded amazing. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t play Dookie in full but they made up for it with all the AI songs. It’s truly great to see how even a festival crowd like this knows all of the songs on that album. We also got three Saviors songs and they even played Bobby Sox as the closing track (apart from Good Riddance of course). So yeah, it was a special night. It was only my second Green Day show but I’d say it was probably even better than the first one.1 point
