  2. I got my RTL+ subscription for this month and I'm planning to record it, hope it works! I'll be seeing them this Friday at Rock im Park and will then watch the Rock am Ring show the next day on TV, it'll be epic😍

  3. Had a dream that I was on a tour of Billie's house. We ran into Billie's mom (woman in the dream looked nothing like Ollie). While the rest of the tour group went onto the next room, I sat there and watched her eat a sandwich in silence. Fascinating.

  4. Just coming in to say I love the new trousers!! I'm tolerating the blonde hair because of the dark roots but at least he's wearing a bit of eyeliner.

  7. I love it! It's one of the best Green Day songs to walk around feeling badass to lol. It's no surprise that The Network outrageously STOLE the verses, made them dirtier and put them in their song Jerry Falwell's Pool Party. I've always thought the line "hold him underwater til he suffocates and drowns" on the "clean" version is a lot more brutal than "til that motherfucker drowns"

  8. On this day 2 years ago (3 June 2022), Green Day played Rock am Ring festival in Germany on the Hella Mega Tour. More photos: 15 years ago (2009), Green Day were interviewed and played 6 songs on Last Call with Carson Daly. 19 years ago (2005), Green Day played Rock am Ring on the American Idiot Tour. 30 years ago (1994), they played the Revolver Club in Madrid on the Dookie Tour. 32 years ago (1992), Green Day played the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland on the Kerplunk Tour. "I wasn't hip to those guys, and I've never been much of a fan of pop-punk. So I had this agent call me about booking them and I'm like, 'I don't know, I don't think so.' I was more than happy to give them a show here because they had an empty date. So I said, 'How about $100?' I wasn't a big fan of that kind of music, but Green Day was awesome. They were the nicest guys – so friendly, just happy to be playing as a band and on the road. You get a good feeling about some bands because they have so much enthusiasm. They would've been happy just having something to eat." — Derek Hess, artist who booked Green Day in at the Euclid Tavern

  9. Lol that reminds me of a dream I had. There were a ton of people around me waiting for Billie Joe at a park lunch table. Whoever got there first would be able to eat lunch with him. I literally ran 1000000 miles per hour and was the first person there. Yippee. Then I woke up.

  13. I recently realized that Billie Joe has restricted my Instagram profile! I can comment on any of his posts, but only I can see my comment (it is hidden from everyone else), and and I can't tag him anywhere anymore 😕 . I swear I have never commented inappropriately and I have never disturbed him in private, except for responding to some stories, always in a friendly and respectful manner! Has anyone else noticed being in the same situation? I only realized it yesterday (a friend couldn't see my comment, so I did some tests). After researching, I found out that this happens when a user restricts a profile.

  15. I've been loving seeing them in these beginning of tour pics! Our boys are back and tour mode is on! I've especially loved seeing Billie of course! He looks healthy and adorable. I really like his hair right now, a good length and dark roots are coming through the blonde His flare pants crack me up but somehow he makes it look good I'm ready to fangirl over tour pics all summer. The punk bunny coffee IG recently said on a post "Let the Saviors summer commence". I will add to that by saying "Let the fangirl summer commence"

  16. I don’t even think it’s the account holder’s choice. Some words or comments can trigger a spam algorithm and result in a restricted account. I had it happen to me once when I left a comment for a book author asking if they’d consider posting on Threads (I used to follow them on Twitter). It got flagged and I got prevented from leaving any comments anywhere for a few days. Must have thought it was spam but it was too quick to have been the account holder.

  18. You’re not the only one this is happened to. It sucks because it’s not a big deal to them but it can hurt when you’re a fan of the band. Random restrictions to them won’t matter but obviously a fan who cares will notice. It could be done for the smallest reason like a comment “brought to you by coca-cola” can result in being restricted. It sucks but it’s their choice. I have had friends with restricted accounts specifically from Billie Joe Armstrongs account and it’s been permanent so far.

  19. I really doubt Billie's going through blocking random people (he probably wouldn't even bother if someone posted something rude). Could be some kind of auto mod thing based on key words that flagged your account for whatever reason maybe? Or someone clicking on the wrong account to block by accident. It's annoying but don't feel bad, it's highly unlikely Billie personally blocked you.

  21. It looks like it will be. I always overhype things but I think factoring in how they sound at the moment mixed with how stacked the Setlist is, if the whole thing is indeed being streamed we can be in for the best Green Day proshot show since Reading 2013!

  24. I was yesterday at Madrid show... Great energy from the band, but bad organization from the 'festival' (sound from some points, not water aviable easyly in a hot day, the exit from the place, not enought time to go from Green day stage to lagwagon one)... But Green day atmosphere was wonderfull. Like not to ruin Jesús of suburbial with "crowd muscians" and not to many hey oh from Billie. Great setlist!

  27. this song has to be my absolute favorite Green Day song ever. I don’t know what about it gets me. I’m gonna start with the guitar melody. Something about the mix of punk pop-ish badass dance rock hooks me for some reason. And the random OO00OoooOooo00000OOooo during the intro is just🤌. And the riff between “runnin runnin red” and “the bullet that you asked for” is just PERFECT. Also, the way Mike and Billie’s voices intwine in the main chorus is everything. not to mention the VIBRA SLAP ON VULTURES ARGGGG THAT GETS ME. and the way he says “the dirtiest kind” is just so good. Also, the guitar on the main chorus like dehne dehne dehne dehne dehne it’s perfect. I’m basically just rambling now, but the song is literally perfect. And the silly goofy music video with the motorcycles- idk I love it. I’ve never met another Green Day fan whose favorite song is kill the DJ. I just want to see if anyone else out there in idiot nation loves kill the DJ. lmk if you do

  29. Yeah my point is there are weird algorithms that result in all sorts of restrictions even if you think you’re posting something benign

  30. Absolute banger. I love Kill the DJ. It's so different to anything they've done before and it turned out so well. Sounded amazing live even on crappy videos. I love the music video too.

  31. I love this song but I have to try really hard to ignore the "kiling you to death" line

  32. Kinda releated to this topic... Do you know there are some versions of Kill the DJ? The first one is from UNO album, of course. Also, you get the one from Clean Version of the album UNO. Then, there is a Edit for UK Radio which replaces some lyrics in the song. Finally, there is a fourth version I have never heard from a promo I watched on discogs. Here's the Edit version...

  33. I just look up the rock station I used to listen to in archaic times and no Green Day in their recent playing. My spotify though, they roll through there like jokes out of Tre Cool.

  36. On this day 6 years ago (2 June 2018), The Longshot played in Philadelphia, PA. Billie's selfie from that day: 14 years ago (2010), Green Day played Skive Festival in Denmark. More photos: 15 years ago (2009), they played Know Your Enemy on the Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien. 22 years ago (2002), they played in Mansfield, MA on the Pop Disaster Tour. 30 years ago (1994), they played in Manises, Spain on the Dookie Tour. I am also learning the names of some European places I'd never heard of. 31 years ago (1993), they played the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood. And 35 years ago (1989), they played the Davis Community Center. There's a video of the show on YouTube.

  38. It sounds like they played Dilemma in a lower key. I like it just as much and imagine it’s easier on his voice, too.

  39. The band were good and the show was very good, despite the sound problems sometimes, but...I don't liked the place. I don't think I would be again in the Caja Mágica, or at least it was a problem with the poor organisation of the festival. I was on one side of the light tower and could only see heads and al band member from time to time, but if you went further back, you could only see the concert through a screen, which covered the ENTIRE stage. Non-sense.
