Had another Green day dream. Not sure where me and my bf were but it was some sort of holiday thing. There was lots of food, decorations, and Grinches everywhere. There's also a band playing. Now I can't remember who they are...maybe Metallica? Anyway midway through their set they bring out special guests and it's Green Day! The play 3 songs with them before Billie and Co walk off stage. As they're leaving I shout you guys did great! Billie turns and sees me and we start talking....and then I woke up 😑

After years of listening to Jesus of Suburbia I just noticed that in Dearly Beloved the drums are all panned to the left and the rest of the instruments is panned all to the right. Funny decision 😄

Tbh for me dreamcatcher has nothing interesting, I can see why it didn't make it on any album.

Would be amazing if it were American Dream, Look Ma, Bobby Sox, One Eyed Bastard and Dilemma. But no. It's going to be: "American Idiot" "Basketcase" "Boulevard of Broken Dream" "When I Come Around" and then "Dilemma."

My guess is they’ll play their Grey Cup set + Dilemma, but I’d love if they picked a different song off Dookie instead of Basket Case just to mix it up from that last performance.

There's one minute left for midnight and the new year. Everything goes quiet, the stage lights are dimmed down, suddenly, a loud bang is heard and all the pink lights on stage are now at maximum brightness. Lady Cobra is standing in the middle of the stage. Billie starts with the iconic guitar riff and the initial lyrics "Taking a ride to my old haunt..." It is the official live debut of NIGHTLIFE. RIGHT AS THE CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT. All the members of the audience explode, literally (Massive outbreak of spontaneous combustion) because their performance is so fire. 🔥🔥🔥 That's what I imagine is going to happen.

I’m still waiting for this to show up on my TV schedule so I can record it. It’s the next thing we have to look forward to I’m excited. Hopefully there will be more TV appearances and live performances of the new songs in January. I’m guessing the other four songs will be from Dookie and AI but I really want to hear Dilemma live most of all.

I’m guessing it’s more like, they’re the first band to play 5 songs on the show? Which would make sense. I usually tune into these shows and they have artists play 2-3 at most. They will almost certainly play TADIKM and popular AI/Dookie songs, so while it grammatically implies they’ll be playing songs live for the first time, I highly doubt that lol.

I just knew they had to be back on Rockin' Eve this year, but I sure as hell wasn't expecting 5 songs!!! Playing out the year with The American Dream Is Killing Me will be oh so fitting!

I love how hard they’re going with the anniversary theme. Dookie and American Idiot are both loved by general listeners and I think appealing to that nostalgia is a smart marketing move. I hope they wear snazzy New Years outfits!
