My mom came up for xmas so of course I had to share new Green Day videos and pictures. She kept remarking on how Billie gives good face and how cute he looks. She didn't have much to say about Mike or Tre3 points

I've been seeing ads for this every day and it makes me so excited. I love seeing the boys on TV again!3 points

I had no idea they did more xmas songs aside from Xmas time of Year. I for one would love more Green Day xmas songs! Maybe a holiday EP?3 points

Don’t know how many Christmas songs they’ve done but a Christmas album would be awesome though I don’t think they’ll ever release the one already done!3 points

This is so exciting! I turned in last night briefly and caught WMUWSE and Hold On which was wild! It was so weird hearing that on the radio. Hoping I get to tune in a few more times before the month is over.2 points

Hope for a single on next friday but I think we‘ll get a single on album release 😬2 points

Tbh for me dreamcatcher has nothing interesting, I can see why it didn't make it on any album.2 points

I can’t believe we are just days away for the album, the wait is killing me still though 😂 but I know it’s gonna be worthy 🫶🏻2 points

There's one minute left for midnight and the new year. Everything goes quiet, the stage lights are dimmed down, suddenly, a loud bang is heard and all the pink lights on stage are now at maximum brightness. Lady Cobra is standing in the middle of the stage. Billie starts with the iconic guitar riff and the initial lyrics "Taking a ride to my old haunt..." It is the official live debut of NIGHTLIFE. RIGHT AS THE CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT. All the members of the audience explode, literally (Massive outbreak of spontaneous combustion) because their performance is so fire. 🔥🔥🔥 That's what I imagine is going to happen.2 points

I recently watched Rumble Fish and it is HILARIOUS how many times they say "Rusty James" It's like some bizarre language or something. They have to say his name at least twice in every sentence. "Rusty James, want to get lunch Rusty James? Rusty James, you know I don't like burgers Rusty James. Rusty James, oh Rusty James you're such a jerk Rusty James. Rusty James, I hate you Rusty James. Rusty James, we gotta go get Motorcyle Boy, Rusty James. Rusty James, what do we do?" I'm going to read The Outsiders and Rumble Fish as soon as I can. If the movies are weird, I know the books must be a trip .1 point

So are we all expecting the new material to not be broadcast until after the new year? Perhaps a bit closer to release? I’d imagine whatever next single they’re choosing will probably be a big highlight first, and then the rest of the album after release. Also THANK YOU SO MUCH @pacejunkie punk for documenting the commentary on the older material! I love hearing their thoughts, and as someone who doesn’t have the service it’s very appreciated 😁1 point

Billie: “Nice Guys Finish Last I’m not really sure what it’s about. It’s about - I think what it says it is. Nice guys finish last, assholes finish first.”1 point

Mike just had all kinds of praise for the Trilogy. He said he really loves Tre, describes it as the one where they were trying to get into the craft of songwriting. Uno was pure power pop and he says Dos really should have been a Foxboro Hot Tubs record. He said yeah he gets that people think it should have been condensed to one record but “when the faucet’s on you just let it keep running”.1 point

Listening to the sheer range of songs they're playing and the way they're mixed together makes me really appreciate their body of work. Such a range of styles and sounds. I usually listen to whole albums at a time and Spotify never gives you a deep mix like this, but the diversity they've achieved over three decades is really kind of spectacular and I love all of it. They have so much to be proud of.1 point

Billie just said something interesting on the Sirius channel. He said 200 LYA was the first song he ever wrote for Adrienne and it's interesting to hear how he went from there to Bobby Sox. So I'm guessing Bobby Sox is about her too.1 point

This is very well done so far with all of the little clips in between songs. Not surprised given SiriusXM's always high level of effort. "East Jesus Nowhere" on the radio. Ahhh, all is right in this world.1 point

In a recent interview about Dilemma he talked about being 17 months sober currently which means he was using or drinking again post Revrad and I fully believe now that FOAM was a relapse album and influenced by his state at the time.1 point

I love when they show recognition of his great voice I think it should be recognized more. Not just in punk but in rock in general1 point

Remember when we thought that they bring out an album in February 2022. Now we're here and it looks like it was worth the wait 😌1 point

I’m really looking forward to this album. The three released songs have all been really good and I don’t get tired listening to them. RevRad had this same pre-release feeling but fell off pretty hard for the most part. Can’t wait!1 point

It wasn’t “dismissed” as drunken behavior, it was drunken behavior lol. He wasn’t in his right mind so whatever point he had doesn’t mean very much. And I disagree that people who work in the industry who have heard the album are “holding it over us,” they’re just being honest1 point

I think if people are pumped about the singles (like me!), they have every right to be excited about the album and thus it is appropriately “rated” at this time. There’s great energy around this promo cycle, it’s been fun to see the guys out and about, and the singles are incredibly strong. I fully expect this album to be a high-ranked GD album for me based on all the information we have about it. I love the concept of bridging the gap between their most popular albums by releasing a collection of songs that reflect their different sounds from over the years, and I believe it’ll really be that type of album because the singles have been diverse while remaining distinctly Green Day.1 point

quoting you here: Definitely significantly better than Dos, if nothing else. I quite enjoy the trilogy, always have, and I remember how much shit it got from fans when it came out. Then once FOAM came out I was like "Oh shitttttttt..........I bet all the trilogy haters are gonna be eating their words now, cause now this truly IS awful" LOL I guess that's what makes the world go round.......we all have different tastes. 🙂1 point
