There's a really great UK podcast called Tape Notes for music production nerds like myself where bands and producers go through song stems, demos etc. and break down their recording process. The latest episode was Patrick Stump and the producer of Fall Out Boy's new album, Neal Avron. Since FOB and GD share a management company, could it possibly happen?! Would love an hour and a half long form deep dive from BJA and Rob Cavallo about the production on Saviors.

To quote a quote inside of a quote inside of a quote...if you could care less, that means you do care. 😄 I'd do a lot of things to hear the Album early, but I'm still buying at least 2 or 3 copies and streaming the snot out of them. I want to stream Green Day so hard that their songs begin to degrade on Spotify. And hopefully the Network haven't run of with the masters to make Inglorious Motherfos of the Masked Kind.

Theres really no financial burden to leaking anymore. You can stream for free anyways. If anything it can only do good. People hear it early and want it on LP and they go buy it.

Things don’t leak like they used to. Ever since the kingdom collapsed, it seems rare to even get a week early, lots things are just the day before now when they hit NZ/AUS. And if they do leak around a week early, it’s been vinyl rips. Same was true for FOAM.

If some of the songs are 1 second longer, that means the album will be longer. 😉

My fellow americans, the japanese Amazon Music page for Saviors has the length of every song (which pretty much confirms undeniably that the track lengths are accurate to the ones in Wikipedia). However, some songs are longer for one second. Fancy Sauce is actually 4:02 instead of 4:01. I feel like I’m finally starting to shake off that post-FOAM trauma because it was really hard for me to trust that things were actually as good as they appeared when they kicked off this era, but I think they just might be! 🥰

The Instagram account Greendaynews uploaded a video of the band from Amazon Music. There’s a track playing in the background that reminds me of Radio by Alkaline Trio. If it’s a track off the upcoming album it sounds really promising.

Almost two months since the first single and I’m so much in love with the three songs we got so far. I can’t stop smiling every time I hear any of them. Very hyped for the record and so nice to see a warm reaction from fans and listeners on social medias. I feel very positive this record will deliver and that’s great both for the band and us fans. By the way, is there any source/confirmation for this tracklist length times on Wikipedia? I can see Apple Music now shows the total length time but not individual track lengths, the total matches this so is one of the other streaming services giving this detail? There's one minute left for midnight and the new year. Lady Cobra is standing in the middle of the stage. Billie starts with the iconic guitar riff and the initial lyrics "Taking a ride to my old haunt..." It is the official live debut of NIGHTLIFE. RIGHT AS THE CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT. All the members of the audience explode, literally (Massive outbreak of spontaneous combustion) because their performance is so fire. 🔥🔥🔥 That's what I imagine is going to happen.

I’m still waiting for this to show up on my TV schedule so I can record it. It’s the next thing we have to look forward to I’m excited. Hopefully there will be more TV appearances and live performances of the new songs in January. I’m guessing the other four songs will be from Dookie and AI but I really want to hear Dilemma live most of all.

The word "party" is not mentioned at all on Father of All. Uno - has one party. Dos - has two parties. Holy Toledo - has three parties. Rock N Roll All Nite - 13 parties. Will Saviors have any Party at all? I don't think so. All your anti-party rhetoric has scared the poor boys. Now all they can do is fake party for a music video. Your obsession is the band's dilemma. Haha

I was firmly in the anti-FOAM camp since it first came out, I didn't like a single thing about it other than Graffitia being quite good. But I recently went back and listened to it for the first time in a couple of years and was shocked to find I actually really enjoyed it. Sure, it's by no means a masterpiece. But it's high energy and a lot of fun, even if it is nonsensical and baffling. Take The Money And Crawl sucks, but other than that it's just dumb fun. Definitely significantly better than Dos, if nothing else. I think the fact it's a Green Day album is to its detriment, because it will always be compared to Dookie and American Idiot, which of course it'll never stand up to. Still I'm very glad they're back to their best now, the three new singles are exactly what we all want to hear and I get why this album was panned so much.

I would love if they would release a proper HD version of this for Warning's 25th Anniversary.
