I'm sure the guys and everyone involved with the making of the album are so happy promotion has finally started. The album has been done for quite a while and has been just sitting there.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. AKA checking GDA every morning thinking I'll learn something about the album and not just read 3 pages of nonsense that actually just makes me dumber

October 24th need to come, and quick. Because this thread is becoming a big joke.

They need something more ambitious, and memorable. not just another standard album they went small last release with 'father of all' now it's time to go big again I think with rob and chris back they will because those two bring out the best in green day

I have not been this excited for a Green Day album since 21CBD. Everything sounds SOOOO good. The quality of everything being teased is just a chef’s kiss. The riff and drums together feel so big and grand. I can taste rock opera #3 on the tip on my tongue and it’s delicious.

Ngl, naming the song American Dream rather than The American Dream is Killing Me doesn't seem like a great idea to me. I mean, at that point, you're basically asking people to compare it to American Idiot. Yeah, it's going to happen anyway but I think they should at least try to distinguish it from AI/21CB a little bit If they're going to name it American Dream, maybe they could have made the title mean something and have it be a sort of continuation of themes talked about in American Idiot and American Eulogy, maybe try to link the 3 songs together in some way. Could be kinda cool. I mean American Eulogy refers to the death of the American dream, right? And both tracks deal with themes like paranoia, hysteria, media & static

Seems like a needlessly cynical way of looking at it. Songs get chopped up, reworked and reused all the time, that's just how it works. The end result and the Interrupters song you're referencing will be two very distinct songs.

Self contradiction imminent: We shouldn't get tooo hyped because let's be real AI was a groundbreaking record and 21CB was the follow up to that while the guys were still at their absolute peak. However... I can't stop thinking about the idea that this could be the record that we would've gotten had Rob produced their next big project after Idiot. We haven't heard Cavallo producing a GD record in the vein of American Idiot since, well, American Idiot. And I maintain that Revolution Radio + a proper producer would've been insane (and it was already pretty great), so it's easy to see why people might expect great things here.

I’m just gonna say it. The sound isn’t doing much for me. Even though it’s just 20 seconds we are getting, I don’t think I’m very hyped up.

Only 12 days left. I’d imagine one more teaser, which would mean a teaser per week. Can’t wait for the announcement, single, and all the other info that comes out.

Can't get excited from such a short clip. You could clip something off of Graffitia and make it seem like it's an interesting album and we all know how this turned out. Green Day have disappointed too much to give them the benefit of the doubt imo. Still if we get an AI/21stCB esque album I'd be super into it.

I don't know but the music in the Reverb video doesn't sound like a Green Day instrumental. The guitars and the snare sound different.

Why are people assuming that it's OEB playing in the teaser? Yes, OEB could be on the album. Yes, it could've been reworked for the album so it's not just a Pink rip off. But I don't get why people hear that guitar and instantly think "Oh yeah that must be a reworking of OEB". I don't even see them releasing OEB as a single
