I'd also like to point out that if the site is legit - which we think it is - everybody who has spent the last couple of years here saying Green Day 'doesn't care about their fans' might want to change their tune. They haven't promoted the site anywhere on their main social media, we just know about it from Jason on Reddit and the other forum - so this is directed entirely at fans like us who've been starved for info and teasers for so long. Will they play another song from new album? Then 5 days after that Dookie 30th is out. And a day after that it's October, I wonder. A single maybe, what will it be? Holy shit. Got that feeling again. Like when GD are about to come on stage. You start to breath heavier, your heart starts pounding, your mouth it all dry, and you start to get that adrenaline rush. ❤️

I'll never understand why some green day fans feel the need to shit talk blink182. Its never the other way around. Im not even a blink fan but im happy the band got back together and are making seemingly good music again. Whenever gree day fans shit talk blink it feels really bitter and sad.

The thought of a Vegas club show around WWWY has me super excited, but also already stressing about the thought of attempting to get tickets. Oh what a joy it is to be a fan of this band.

People decided that based on the fact that it leaked in late 2020 so was presumably recorded during that era. But as far as I knew, it was done after and was always intended to be a track for their next album.

I'm thinking that the poker chips don't have directly have anything to do with the album. I do think that they're about to start a new era and announce it/drop a single, but it seems pretty obvious to me what they're doing with the poker chips. It's gotta be a club show happening in Vegas in conjunction with the when we were young fest. The parallels with the show at the metro in Chicago when they played Lollapalooza last year are uncanny. The caption of the post gives it away too. We're definitely getting an announcement next month though. I think the color scheme ties into the new album and the Green Day is awake website, so I'm assuming that they're going to use their headlining slot at the festival (and club show) as promotional leverage for the album announcement. I wouldn't specifically expect something on the 1st with it being a Sunday (unless it's a tease), and nobody drops any news on Sunday because it's a terrible marketing strategy, but definitely watch what happens within the first week of the month. And if not at the beginning, we're for sure gonna see some announcements in October. At least before the when we were young festival. I was skeptical before, but at this point we can be sure that isgreendayawake is legit. The pink is the exact same as the casino chips. That is no coincidence.

No matter how good Green Day market this next album, they won't be able to compete with this new blink single/album (unless maybe it's like their absolute best), since this is their first album since they got back together. For the record, One More Time is a much better song than Edging was
