Jenna first mentioned on her podcast that Lee and Billie Joe were working on a new project together and then shortly after that Jenna appeared in an instagram post with Billie, Tre and three young actors.
He said they recently finished a new PHGP record, presumably meaning an album and not just an EP.
That would mean that it'll be their first full length since Goodbye Ellston Avenue, and their second full album in general, which is pretty cool.
I really like this! You can tell that it’s going to sound great in a full band arrangement, with Billie, Aaron, and Bill in the mix… it’s got the makings of a classic PHGP song. If this is any indication of the quality of the upcoming record, it’s really exciting. I hope the record is announced soon, along with some shows
Jason is great. The Influents albums are wonderful for example. Always loved his voice, in Pinhead Gunpowder it was sometimes hard for me to know, if it's Billie or him singing, and there are those songs, where they both sing different parts.
Looking forward to the new Pinhead Gp record!
Nice Song! Were you the one filming or how come you have the link to an unlisted Video?
Okay. I guess if you are on the public street, it's totally fine. Just scream really loud so he can hear you. Also, start performing Here Comes the Shock over and over again until something happens. I'd play cowbell, but I'm an East Coaster.
1972 is dead, long live Album 14.
Whatever they release, I just hope that they have a CD boxset with all of the same content as vinyl boxset. It's one thing that annoyed with the Linkin Park releases. To get the full collection, I would have to buy the vinyl boxset when I don't have a record player.
Oh, you're absolutely right on that. I was just addressing the misconception that Jaded was filmed in HD.
I'd absolutely kill for a Blu-Ray release either way, since the auditory benefits from a lossless audio track would be substantial.
It’s just here. People are often so rude and make it all about them on this message board. Be more like @That Dude or @GDFan2019 and everything will be fine.
Billie Joe during the Longshot tour had to tell a lot of the same people to stop being at the front of the stage every show and let other people up front.
In the real world, the shitty toxic Green Day fans are outnumbered.
How are they restricting themselves to the Green Day sound when most of FOAM critiques come from it not sounding like GD? What happened since 21CB is kinda the opposite, the side projects sound landed on GD records. And we are talking about a band that reinvented its sound at least 4 times in their career.
And on top of that I don’t really get where this “they like the side projects more” come from.
For sure they like to play more intimate shows from time to time, and to have fun with these side gigs, but I don’t really see how we can put this in contrast or competition with their GD career.
Feel like posts like this keep forgetting they had a GD album/stadium tour cycle that ended less then a year ago and started in 2019. Let the guys have some fun if they want to.
