  3. Whatever they release, I just hope that they have a CD boxset with all of the same content as vinyl boxset. It's one thing that annoyed with the Linkin Park releases. To get the full collection, I would have to buy the vinyl boxset when I don't have a record player.

  5. Just like you heard there was going to be a new single by the summer shows? But yes, it seems painfully obvious it is coming soon.

  6. Well true but an official release taken from the master should in theory be a better source than YouTube sources is my stance on the reason Jaded should get an official release

  7. I have no idea why this is a common misconception, but Jaded in Chicago wasn't, and didn't have any of It's material filmed in High Definition. It was filmed straight to analog tape.

  9. It’s just here. People are often so rude and make it all about them on this message board. Be more like @That Dude or @GDFan2019 and everything will be fine. Billie Joe during the Longshot tour had to tell a lot of the same people to stop being at the front of the stage every show and let other people up front. In the real world, the shitty toxic Green Day fans are outnumbered.

  10. I would go crazy if by chance they recorded Pasalacqua during Dookie sessions. This would be insane and a great single for this release

  11. I think none of us will accurately predict what they do, they never do the obvious and always take us by surprise and I like it.

  12. Is there any chance that this release includes the Lee Kirk project? A Dookie era biopic?

  13. We already have all the dookie demos and they know this and they would probably throw in just the live tracks ep from 94 and no bsides. How many bsides were in the nimrod set again? Exactly.

  14. Would be awesome if they‘ll release a boxset like Linkin Park with Meteora with 4 unreleased shows on a DVD and an unreleased show on CD/Streaming which would 5 different shows. But that just never gonna happen because Green Day never released a FULL show on DVD 😂

  15. Oh, you're absolutely right on that. I was just addressing the misconception that Jaded was filmed in HD. I'd absolutely kill for a Blu-Ray release either way, since the auditory benefits from a lossless audio track would be substantial.

  16. I suppose if there is a release for Dookie's 30 Anniversary, it will be: * Dookie Remastered (Maybe extended with the b-sides plus the new version recorded for Christie Road and the original takes for Chump and Longview) * Demos (There are several sources, mainly: Art of Ears Demos (1992 and 1993 versions) and Dancing Dogs Demos. * Live performances or a full show from Dookie era: Woodstock (Less probable because there is an official release), Jannus Landing (Vast Majority of Live recording from Dookie era were taken from this show), Chicago 1994 or... Barcelona 1994???

  17. The session linked was the actual album recording session, there are multiple demo recording sessions for Dookie and a separate session for the re-recording of Chump & Longview. In the demo sessions they recorded Haushinka, J.A.R. and a couple of covers

  19. Dookie 30th anniversary edition will be a bigger deal for more casual fans probably. Because I'm sure there's going to be a lot of the demos & live performances that we've all heard 100 times. That being said, I'll be excited to have the demos and stuff on streaming services, especially demos for songs like Haushinka and J.A.R that can be found in this video and playlist. I think the Insomniac & Nimrod 25th editions suffered from not including the early version of Good Riddance which was originally on the Brain Stew/Jaded single but would've been fine being on either album. I hope Dookie doesn't suffer any other bad decisions like that

  20. Considering the trend of the band including shows that already had some songs released previously as b-sides on anniversary releases, Jaded in Chicago or Jannus Landing seem to be the most likely candidates

  21. Although they actually did play a new song, 1981, at the Quebec show I have a feeling the single is going to be the Dookie version of Christie Road

  22. We didn't know about black eyeliner, tre polca or nimrod demo of when It's time a year algo (althought nimrod was the record with more official b-sides released) so we can expect any surprise for dookie30

  27. I think we'll get an announcement of #Dookie30, new album and a new single all at once.

  28. My guessing is: -Dookie 30th edition will be released this year probably in late September - early October. -As the news of Dookie 30th turns eyes on GD with news in the media, the new single release of new album will follow right after that. (Late October-November) -New album somewhere between February 2024 - (latest) May 2024.

  29. I'm gonna guess it'll include a full, official release of either the "Jaded in Chicago" concert or some other Dookie era concert. I really hope it includes bonus tracks like the B-Sides, the re-recording of "409 in Your Coffeemaker" from that old "Basket Case" single, and that re-recording of "Christie Road" that's never been released. https://greenday.fm/music/studio-sessions/dookie-sessions/

  30. I have a theory, what if they announce the new album in September, the first single comes out the same day, the new album comes out in October/November, and they announce the tour, starting in February, in which they play songs from the new album plus Dookie in full!!! And also in February, a Dookie 30th anniversary box set with the album, demos, studio outtakes including 409 in Your Coffeemaker and Christie Road, and a live show. And then later in the year, we get the American Idiot 20th anniversary celebration!!!

  31. Guessing the Dookie 30th anniversary stuff is going to be a holiday release before the new album promo starts

  32. I'm sure there's something worse I'm not remembering but (and I don't know if this counts) I do remember at the end of the Green Day show at Emirates screaming at the top of my lungs "I love you Green Day!" as they left the stage. Seems kind of embarrassing now!

  33. As much as I'm excited for this, I'm not sure how much can we expect, since all the b sides from that era that we know of were already officially released on singles and Shenanigans, and all the demo sessions surfaced over years as bootlegs. I am not aware of any other songs that were recorded at that time, like there were during nimrod and later album sessions. I guess we're in for an album remaster and maybe one of the iconic live shows (Jaded in Chicago, Jannus Landing etc.), which would be cool to have finally officially released as a package. It's more bizarre to me that it'll be 20 years since American Idiot came out. It's surreal.
