Actually you kinda did, not explicitly and I'm guessing not intentionally (unless you didn't know it was PHGP and really thought it was gonna be all of GD), but through your reactions to the speculation afterwards. I remember several people asked if it was FBHT related and you didn't respond to anyone but liked all the posts. In the days following, I noticed that both you and Matt (who I think is the only other person openly dropping secret info??) liked several other posts that speculated only about foxies or side projects with all GD members but I don't remember seeing either of you liking stuff when PHGP, or even Longshot, were mentioned. With that and the fact that neither of you denied it was tubbies or full GD, you have to see why that made people think it was tubbies or at least all of green day, right? And while yes it is people's own fault for speculating and getting their hopes up, if you're gonna be dropping hints you do have to be aware that people are gonna be paying a lot more attention to your activity on here and need to be more careful with that. That's why it's not always a good idea to hint at information if you don't know or can't say what it actually is.

Backtracking what has happened before, the earliest a single has been released before the album had been no more than 2 months. Although that is no indicator of what will happen this time. GD are very unlikely to be playing the next super bowl, I posted in the Random News thread a while back, they're negotiating with Miley Cyrus and two male solo singers for the half time show. If that doesn't happen and they turn it down, it's highly unlikely Green Day will be their second choice. That's not the vibe they're going for. So get your hopes down now before it's too late lol

Yeah the people dropping hints kinda led us to believe it was a GD side project (so Network or Tubbies, or something new), not just a Billie side project. It seems that's not actually the case. I'm not gonna read into that video they posted too much, but that and the Oakland Coffee playlists are a good sign, it shows they're actually active again and not just radio silence. Hopefully it will stay that way.

I don't know but this new video feels different in comparison to the other archive videos. Green Day coming back after a hiatus and preparing for a show before a bigger tour. Just two days before they are playing a show and sort of come back of a hiatus.

The band's probably not going to be very active until 2024 with the new album and anniversaries for Dookie & American Idiot. They're probably just getting ready for all that and releasing these shorts to get us prepared and excited

imo it makes more sense to release a single before super bowl, attract super huge attention while playing the super bowl halftime show, and then (when everyone is aware of GD) release the lp to a huge number of (new) fans (ofc if they play at super bowl) i would not compare the trilogy (three releases) with the upcoming lp (one release)
