Maybe GD are watching this thread waiting for us to get to 1972 pages before they release anything or make an announcement8 points

Stop, Drop and Roll has music fans that don’t even like Green Day. I don’t mean that in a negative way. It’s just such a superior album that transcends genres and super picky music fans. Foxboro Hot Tubs is amazing and the song writing is fantastic. Stop, Drop and Roll can stand on its own. It could be iconic even though it’s pretty much a secret in the mainstream. Sorry! Back to the thread topic! The Trilogy is amazing!7 points

With GD being so absent it would be a good time for The Network to come in and take their place. Show the GD boys how to do it! The time is nigh for The Network to become the biggest rock band in the world!6 points

I spoke to Billie Joe in a dream and he said the new album comes out this Friday.6 points

Well of course we're at 472 pages. Because we can't stop speculating. Some GDC'ers knows what is hapenning right now and won't say anything to us. Yes I'm talking to you pace and matt. We wouldn't be speculating if we had the info lol3 points

Someone on Reddit suggested maybe it's a band that's literally called the Secret Surprise Band LOL 😆3 points

Yeah turns out that was a false alarm. Nothing to do with Green Day or a related project3 points

I love the fact that Billie now seems to be a soccer fan. Love the St.Pauli scarf. i think St Pauli is very much aligned with him personally…. ” St. Pauli were the first club in Germany to integrate a set of Fundamental Principles (Leitlinien) to dictate how the club is run. The Fundamental Principles were passed by an overwhelming majority at the St. Pauli Congress in 2009 and they go beyond solely football. The first five Principles states that: – "In its totality, consisting of members, staff, fans and honorary officers, St. Pauli FC is a part of the society by which it is surrounded and so is affected both directly and indirectly by social changes in the political, cultural and social spheres." – "St. Pauli FC is conscious of the social responsibility this implies, and represents the interests of its members, staff, fans and honorary officers in matters not just restricted to the sphere of sport." – "St. Pauli FC is the club of a particular city district, and it is to this that it owes its identity. This gives it a social and political responsibility in relation to the district and the people who live there." – "St. Pauli FC aims to put across a certain feeling for life and symbolises sporting authenticity. This makes it possible for people to identify with the club independently of any sporting successes it may achieve. Essential features of the club that encourage this sense of identification are to be honoured, promoted and preserved." – "Tolerance and respect in mutual human relations are important pillars of the St. Pauli philosophy."[46]” What has that got to do with 1972 i hear you ask ? What the fuck has anything got to do with anything in this thread nowadays.2 points

Jesse Malin just posted from the hospital. He's fighting hard and looks forward to seeing us soon. https://fb.watch/ltcAhY-2_X/?mibextid=Nif5oz2 points

What makes you say that? I love a lot of bands, but over the years, green day has interacted with the fans much more actively (particularly through side projects and smaller club shows) than any other band of that size that I can think of. Just wondering why you feel that way? (Sincere wonder, no snark.)2 points

Yes, traditional club in germany. But tbh many people are wearing St. Pauli merch without knowing its a club (or part) in hamburg and they often have a merch shop at festivals. I think the old drummer of Billy Talent is also wearing a St. Pauli Shirt in the music video for „Try Honesty“1 point

One of the cool things about Father of All Dot Dot Dot is that IT actually exists. 1972 is just a year, a patch on Billie's vest. Spray paint on a wall. She was right. I am an Idiot. Wait. I got mixed up there.1 point

Oh I'm not saying to tell us what it is. I'm just saying that's why we have so many pages. So yeah maybe we will reach 1972 pages lol1 point

I think it's a shame that every time they've tried to incorporate FBHT sound into Green Day that it's not been very well received. Like, even though I like the trilogy a lot, including Dos, and I think some of the Foxboro sounding moments of FOAMF work quite well (most notably Stab You in the Heart), I get why these sounds haven't been as well received as SD&R. It's just a shame a lot of those naysayers of the trilogy probably won't hear the superior SD&R which does this sound perfectly1 point

Wholeheartedly agree. They used to be innovators and very arty when it came to record art. Now it’s just very meh and throw away. Sad really. Hopefully they sort it out for this record. Artwork for 21cb was piss cringe. Tribal flames, like something you’d see on a Staind record.1 point

Stop Drop & Roll is one of the best GD albums imo. Like I'd say top 5. It's for sure their best side project album imo1 point

Has there ever been a time when you didn't feel like an announcement was coming soon? If there's a side project coming, that's cool. I just don't see why they'd pick now to do a side project. I don't see them doing FBHT in 2023, it just wouldn't make sense to me for them to release something like that not under the Green Day label. Like they've already released a lot of Foxboro type music under Green Day, including parts of FOAMF, why would they go back to doing that as FBHT?1 point

Foxboro Hot Tubs and Green Day could flip spaces with each other. Tubbies could become a massive K-Pop band and take over the world and Green Day could become ultra underground and activistly try to sale less records. Also, I'd seriously be kind of excited for some new blood in Green Day.1 point

what a way to promote the album, in a Instagram live with 14 people watching! way to go, Green Day!1 point

I'm watching right now. I commented about the new album and she said the guys did mention the new album but the guys couldn't reveal anything just yet1 point

Michelle Farrell the playmate? Like Oh Love 2.0? Billie is blonde for FBHT 👀1 point
-
I can answer one Tre is holding his jacket behind him, not wearing a skirt and Mike has been blonde for a while I think, and often is. Having said that, if this Green Day promo and Billie is blonde I may have to go and lie down! 😂😂 Unless the stylists got hold him and he ‘s back to jet black by today.1 point
-
On one of Michelle Farrell’s stories she says she “hung out with Green Day in the studio” what do we make of that?1 point
-
Sometimes I can't believe Billie dresses that way unironically. Like he's legit walking around in public wearing sunglasses (at the same time as a scarf lol) that are almost as big as his already oversized head1 point
