  5. How about the one dad that was upset because Billie wore a Jim Beam tshirt while coaching one time...๐Ÿ˜‚. He thought it was a bad influence on the kids. The next comment was calling him a Karen. lol

  6. My favorite is the one about him wearing all black during a 90 degree day. Little do they know that's considered light for him. ๐Ÿ˜„

  8. It was so cool to see revrad songs surviving into the next era. I was a huge guitar-free Billie Bang Bang enjoyer.

  9. I hope this is a tongue in cheek sorta joke. And your not being serious. Billie Joe, as well as being the bestest songwriter, guitarist and singer in the universe, he's an entertainer and a showman. He's unique, there's no one like him. At live shows he's the conductor, and we bow to his every command. And you want to demote him. GD is BJ, Mike & Tre, period.

  14. A Green Day related band I just learned about! Summer Fazed is a project by Greg Schiender from the Influents. Is he related to Bill as well? Pretty good song. https://summerfazed.bandcamp.com/album/down-to-the-shore

  15. Just watched the show in Sevilla 2019 again. It would have been so cool if Hella Mega contained some Revolution Radio songs. The people went crazy when they started to play Revolution Radio!

  23. Father of All was a #1 record. And yet nobody really knows about it, and the band don't play it live. I think Covid is the reason for both those things, and now they've decided on releasing new stuff instead. Still a bummer, but it makes sense. And while I don't understand the hate of the album, there are a couple songs that I skip most of the time. Fire Ready Aim is fun, but weak and Stab You In the Heart is one of the worst Green Day songs ever. Other than that, it's a really great record. Meet Me On the Roof is a bop. Junkies is an experiment done right and there is some classic sounds on the record too.

  24. Yup makes complete sense. This is how FOAM always came off to me but then again I'm one of the FOAM fans. Thanks for sharing!

  25. Why does every song have to be the best song ever? We should calm our expectations a bit. No one needs to be disappointed just because it's not the best GD song of all time ๐Ÿ˜…

  26. Thanks for that, a really fascinating interview. I've always thought of FOAM as just escaping, just letting of steam. Maybe like going to an illegal rave and just loosing yourself. As the song title says "Let Yourself Go". Now with band's batteries recharged, back to reality and lets make album 14 something really special. Oh! By the way @That Dude thank you for a clearly understandable post, with clarity and easy to follow. Should have it framed.lol. ๐Ÿ˜

  27. Some FOAM positivity for us FOAM enthusiasts. https://tapeop.com/interviews/138/butch-walker/ Billie Joe was burned out in producing Green Day records himself for so long, and was ready to do something different. When Butch told him he wanted to produced something new and fresh, Billie Joe was on the same page, desperate for a change. So there we have it, not a troll. Even if you despise FOAM and think it's worst garbage ever, FOAM was simply a way for the band to stretch their artistic wings, getting out of their comfort zone. I hope that Billie is enjoying the process this time around and that he makes no compromises in the music he wanted to make.

  29. I hope we get a new band member during the next Era. Maybe Violent J of ICP is learning the Green Day catalogue before they can tour with him as the new front man. And before you guys freak out, Billie will still be in the band. He's just going to be demoted to a Jason White position. Maybe they can let him sing King for a Day or Good Riddance. Violent J ain't gonna want to sing no Nimrod poop, know what I'm sayin'? But seriously, I think we need a redemption of the Trilogy ers. Fourth member, weird songs, and ICP if Lady Cobra is busy....
