If you actually think that Jen is trolling or being obnoxious, you don't know her at all. She's been a pretty much daily user on this site for years, not like these people who just pop up and post dumb shit to stir things up. She's also legit one of the nicest people here and is never involved in any drama. So saying she should be instantly banned for making one silly post is pretty cruel tbh. This desperation for album news is turning you into animals, maybe some of you need to take a step back if it's making you this hostile honestly. He's not even a mod16 points

Thanks @squinty bitch for your kind words! Sorry, I thought it was ages since we’d had one of those enigmatic posts (which I love ‘cos they never go anywhere) and clearly with the news that the album is going to be released in 2024 nothing is close but then Billie returned to IG. I thought maybe we’d be able to laugh at ourselves a little (myself included) and how excited we get for any little scrap of info and did not mean to cause any upset. Like everyone else, I’m just waiting for new music! Like @Little Boy Named Booze said, we need to relax.14 points

In it's own topic a lot of guys like it. I reckon it would be the sensible thing to do now. Just a digital release to generate some income for the band at least. And world generate interest for the future with a wider audience.4 points

And like I said, the studio was never actually undisclosed!! We know they were at RAK and Ocean Way (United)3 points

The article also quotes wikipedia, so it doesn't contain new information3 points

Billie being back on IG is hopeful! Could just be random but the possibility of it being for promo purposes is a bit exciting3 points

Dude I’m still procesing that bebopalula was a lyric that was actually used in a song2 points

That's assuming the track hasn't been parted out/cannibalized to fill out other songs. And I hope that's not the case2 points

It says undisclosed studio but we already know they’ve been to RAK in London and Ocean Way Perhaps maybe One Eyed Bastard really is getting an official release?2 points

It was intended for release at some point, which is why it was listed on SESAC for royalties.2 points

I think if it was too risky to release a song like D.U.I in 2000 there is no way it’ll be released nowadays!2 points

Agreed. Anyone posting fake cryptic things like “tomorrow” “one week”, etc should be banned immediately. Why is this trolling tolerated here?2 points

If I remember well, this thread was created in the last time Billie back to Insta. Some weeks after, they started to post 1972 teasers, so...2 points

My initial reaction to finding about this is as follows: 1) I decided to make a playlist of the trilogy songs because I wanted to revisit them and rearrange them in a way I thought was fun and cool but also maintained a logical and interesting flow. Did that. Reaffirmed my love for those songs even if I don't think they're the strongest on their own. 2) Randomly Googling Green Day and wondering what was up with their teasing and coming across a GD subreddit. 3) Hearing about this song and eventually finding it, and trying to make internal peace with the fact that the song does, sometimes overwhelmingly, share a strong similarity with that Pink song, and also it being recorded during the Network LP2 sessions but also being better than any song on FOAM. In short: I am not sure. I love Green Day, this song is dope, and I'm pretty sure Pink wouldn't mind but if this is a B-side from the Network LP (and I get it being a stylistic outlier) but they didn't feel like they include it on FOAM, I wonder why they thought that. This is so much tighter and better than so much of FOAM and I just hope that if this is the kind of thing they've felt the need to disregard in the last ~four or so years, hopefully their next album or project or whatever is unified and tighter than FOAM lmao.1 point

Devil's Kind came up on my shuffle yesterday. Man, what a great song. Remember when we bullied Billie into releasing it? Good times 😁1 point

Put me in the it's just okay camp. I only heard it once but don't really have a desire to hear it again. The riff is a rip off (and I love Pink) and the song is so meh. I'd be disappointed if this was the direction of the new LP. It's just...fine. The hook is catchy and gets stuck in your head, but otherwise nothing of note for me so far.1 point
