  1. We don’t know when the photo was taken…

  2. That brings up the potential documentary thing that was discussed in the past again. I'm still not sure what to expect. Is it just the album, the documentary or both? Or documentary with accompanied soundtrack full of new songs? Judging from all the teasers we got over last year, it once again sounds like the same three - four power chord punk rock songs, but even after all these years I'm still excited like a baby. I'm really putting all my hopes in the fact Rob's back.

  3. Apparently GD said at Innings they'll be touring next year. So new album will drop anytime between now and then!

  4. Billie looked great at soundcheck (excuse bad quality screenshots from TikTok)

  5. We knew that, he was in the teasers from last year at the studio

  6. So up until the other day I thought the album was already done despite the rumors that they were still working on it. They had that video of them with CLA last year but this new video makes me think that they're definitely still mixing at least. If Billie got that as a birthday present then that means he got it very recently, and CLA posted a pic of him and Billie yesterday with Billie's new blonde hair, so it's a recent picture. I'm not sure how much mixing is left but then there's still mastering and production of merch, so I definitely think we're months away from hearing a new song. They'll probably do their usual routine of a late summer single with radio and TV promotion and some one off shows, then maybe do a small run of theater shows, and then go big with the touring in 2024

  8. Desperate, but not hopeless. We feel so useless in the 1972 project speculation thread 🎶

  12. Oh guys listen to the end of the video. Tré says that Chris Lord-Alge "got a pretty good present this year" from Billie too. So maybe he means a pretty good album? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CpHA4ncqrPd/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

  13. Love the burning drum kit part. That may actually mean something.

  14. Didn’t Billie also say something in Europe about not being back until next summer? Maybe they’re touring Europe/World first this time and will do the States in 2024.

  15. I think every one of the three has its great moments, so it's really difficult to pick 😄 Tré was the first one I heard of them, so it's kinda special to me. But if I had to decide, I think it would be Dos

  20. I always felt like '1972' is the name of the documentary/film and new album's name is something else.

  21. Yep, that’s exactly where my thoughts went too.

  22. So they said "See you next year" but they have a show in July in Milwaukee and When We Were Young in the Fall. So logically they probably meant "See you [Arizona] next year."

  28. Thank you, I’m on the mend. No Green Day surprises but been watching lots of classic videos from my couch. Wrigley Field Press Conference last night. Damn that is still hilarious

  29. Aint watched this video for ages. Really love this. I wonder if those watching at the time realised what was coming. Can't get over the guys walking past oblivious to the sound of a band that would change our lives and we would fall in love with.

  30. Key in Green Day on Google, and on members section Billie Joe plays harmonica only. 🙄

  36. bummer, best guess now is they just do some few festival appereances in the US this year and thats it if they start touring early in 2024, we could get tour announcement + the new album closer to august/september/october maybe? and thats just if we are lucky, anything later could still be possible (summer tour 2024, album release early/spring 2024)

  37. I speculate there will be a lyric about ice cubes. Possibly iced coffee. And I am still confident it's got a mostly blue cover. My source tells me it will NOT be released before yesterday.

  40. I want them to make a song literally called "a shout-out to gdfan2019"

  41. There was no better time for WMUWSE to come out tbh. Billie was finally ready, and because it was only 3 years after and regarding the subject matter of the music video, people regarded it as a song about losing loved ones to 9/11 and the ongoing war. I regard it as the best song about grief, one of Green Day's best songs, and the best song Billie has ever written. (Although Whatsername is close.) Seeing it performed live too... no GD song hits as hard as that one.
