Green Day isn't big enough to be successful with an out-of-nowhere album. They could have done it after American Idiot but not now. It would be fun though! I keep telling myself I shouldn't listen to pre-release singles and just hear the album when it all comes out but that's so hard to do. A surprise release would certainly make that possible.9 points

Well, the music has to be good to even have a chance. Unless you're Taylor Swift or other artists who could put out literally anything and it'll be cherished as the greatest thing in music history.7 points

Watching the Grammy’s last night got me thinking, will Green Day be up on that stage a year from now? Last night’s show was actually pretty good and the closest we got to rock music was the performance by Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson. Now, for Green Day to be eligible, they have to get the album out before the cutoff date, which I believe is in October, right? Coldplay was there too for their collab with BTS but they lost.2 points

Yeah, I don't think a surprise album release is gonna happen, for the reasons mentioned above. However... Billie, Mike, and Tre (his injury pending) performing one of the singles at Billie's bday party? (If Billie is planning a big bday bash like he did last year) I can see that happening.1 point

bang bang was sick! i still remember hearing it for the first time ever (shame it gave us wrong hopes for the rest of revrad, but its still a very solid lp!) and tré with his leg brace doesnt look like he will be able to play a full set by the end of the month, i play drums, and both legs need to work, you need a lot of physical work in order to play the drums1 point
