  6. February 3rd, 2023 would be a good release day.

  7. Whenever they decide to announce the album, I just hope they won't do the modern approach and do it 5 months before the release date, then release four singles in the meantime and pretty much ruin the whole fun spoiling the record. I hate that trend. A single a month or two before the record's out is more than enough. I'll never forget when they announced 21st Century Breakdown at the Grammys in February '09, released Know Your Enemy, and pretty much every other information on the record we got were only bits from magazine interviews. We didn't even know the full final track list until later. It was so exciting and awesome. I want that.

  8. Agreed, I don’t expect a tour this summer either. (feel free to read that I’ll struggle to fit in much more) 😁

  9. I'm sorry, I don't understand... Because the band's twitter page (and maybe some of their other social media pages) posted Happy 29th Birthday to Dookie, you think that's a sign they're moving on from Nimrod 25 and supposedly means they're closer to announcing the new album? Cause if that's what you mean, then that's quite the reach Honestly I think it's pure cope if you guys are expecting the album by June

  10. They're still making posts promoting Nimrod, they have a festival this month I don't think they're ready to pivot to the next thing until after all that. Still betting on March. They have to be touring this summer.

  14. I miss real B sides. I’m dating myself to when I bought singles at my local record store, a little 7” 45 with a picture sleeve and a bonus song on the back. Sometimes the B sides were even better than the A sides.

  15. I would really hope that they fill in their summer tour schedule around the 3 festivals already planned for 2023. Wouldn't that make sense?

  16. Announcing the record means starting the whole promotion carnival. They ended a world tour just a few months ago. They are almost 51. Give them some breathing time.

  20. I got my silver copy in from Monster yesterday (which btw, if you haven’t purchased yet, will be $100 with no tax/free shipping this Saturday as part of their monthly 20% off all vinyl sale). I listened to the whole thing and wow, beautiful pressing for the vinyl and just a magical experience all around. I love this era so much and can still clearly remember 13 year old me listening to this the day it came out in 97. Loved it then, love it now. The Electric Factory show is also amazing here. Even the demos are fun and will get replay value from me. All in all a great set here.

  21. We are coming up on 3 years since Father of All. If the album doesn't come out in the next six months, this will be a longer wait than the average wait time between Green Day albums. Let's give them the Rev Rad time frame, because they really bounced back with a great record following a rough time for the band. They took 3 years and 9 months there. So that leaves us looking at October 6th, 2023. And the band loves October releases, so that is a good time frame. @GDfan2019, are you in agreement? If it's a Warning to American Idiot scenario, we could add 2 more months, giving us a December release, but that's kind of funky. Don't want to bring out the Trlilogy-haters again, so best to avoid December.

  22. The thing about demos is that they are different from original album version that makes them special. Even when they are variation of another song. And Green Day live wouldn't be Green Day live without Billie Joe's on stage theatricals. Love it.

  23. I absolutely believe the album is still coming out this year, I think at the latest it'll be October but honestly probably before that. We know it's ready

  24. Wow, spelling not just Billie, but Joe, and the Coverups wrong all in one post.

  25. RevRad wasn't spikes, especially as the tour went on.

  26. 21st Century Breakdown songs, but recorded in the style of Warning. And a poop ton of handclaps. And some Queen covers. With Mike singing he's in love with a Trans Am. I mean car.

  27. I read that Linkin Park took a photoshop for „Meteora“ back in october 2002. The album was released in march 2003. Maybe they‘re further in the promo phase then we think. But yes, it‘s all speculation. We will see in the next months

  29. I'm so glad the trend of extremely long song titles is over. Fall Out Boy and Panic were the biggest offenders.

  30. Yes please. I'm hoping they've moved on from that Jan 10 statement, that they are still in the middle of recording. And they are now at the end of recording.

  34. Go up onto the stage, take a mic and ask politely what is going on with the new album. And if they say "we're the coverups, we don't even have a first album yet" well.... I just don't know what to do after that. I guess a coverups album would be good.

  39. Or studio B sides! We haven't got a proper one since Know Your Enemy single with Lights Out and Hearts Collide (not counting Favorite Son on 21 Guns, since it came out in 2004 on Rock Against Bush Vol. 2)..

  40. Won’t happen. Streaming revenue benefits most from lots of singles before an album comes out. Brave new world

  42. Comments like these don't help your case. I came here to post another clip today, but then I read this. Listen, I am not beholden to you. Please be respectful and patient. We're all fans here. I got hit by a flood in my basement recently and my DAW (with most of my recording equipment was put into storage). I planned on getting that stuff out over the holiday weekend to work on this. In the meantime, I felt like taking phone clips would be appropriate for the fans to hear, as I also didn't want to release a crappy phone clip of the entire song on the internet, but rather rip it properly. Plus, the vinyl skips like crazy. It's not a clean playback. I was hoping I could potentially do some editing to clean it up a bit. Therefore there's only certain portions of the song that I can take clips of that are clean and listenable, and that's what I planned on doing in the meantime. I posted Redundant as soon as I could. And I will do the same with Alison. If you don't like that then I suggest you forget this thread and move on with your life. For those who are interested in another clip and won't complain about it, here you go. https://mega.nz/file/zro11DiC#nWOS6kbJF-83nzvgJLftWusmOug9VK0o-YdgwI7LVdc
