I really like Holy Toledo, that’s my favorite of all the post FOAM stuff (not counting The Network). Pollyanna and You Irritate Me are both just ok. We won’t speak of HCTS. Hopefully they’ve forgotten they’ve ever done it.

So, I like to hold little living room concerts for my son where I play guitar and sing, and I think I have the best setlist down so far. The music will sound like the snippets we've heard. The vocals will be exclusively rapping from Chris Dugan except for one part where Mike Dirnt and Jason White sob like Jonathan Davis on "Daddy". The biggest hand clapping solo you've ever heard. Billie Joe had been demoted to keyboardist man. Some of the best drumming and bass we will ever get from Tre and Mike. The songs won't have names. To get a "song effigy" you must buy an NFT made out of Marijuana and incense wrapped in gross, dark chocolate rain. Overall, a funny and joyous pop punk record.

I'm currently watching the mixing course of Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Chris Lorde-Alge and it was really interesting to hear Mike's backing vocals in solo. Always thought that Billie was the only one who sang background vocals since American Idiot

Honestly I think Holy Toledo AND Pollyanna might be better than You Irritate Me. It's a solid demo track but it's still an unfinished demo of a track that wasn't good enough to be on Nimrod, Shenanigans or to be a B-side to any single from the Nimrod or Warning era. It's definitely better than Here Comes The Shock but Pollyanna, while it's not close to being a favourite of mine does sound more complete and like there was at least a bit more thought put into that track. If Pollyanna is better, it's only slightly better. Holy Toledo is definitely the best of their recently released songs though imo, even if it's also not a favourite of mine. I do hope the other Nimrod demos are decent tracks too but 1972 is really what I want to be real good. After FOAM, idk what to expect but I'm hoping for a better album. The band can take as long as they need to release it. I hope for an album that blows everything they've released since 2019 out of the water
