Shit, those heavy guitars 😍 Definitely sounds drop D tuning, which I think has only been used on "Whatsername". Also, CLA!!!! Heck yes. This clip seems like it was from listening to mixes. Curious if it is a dated clip, or new. Anyone keeping up with their hair and facial hair styles to compare? The two quotes at the end: "This record is going to be so good." "1972 y'all"15 points

Chris Lord-Alge. The mixing engineer who mixed many Green Day albums (by example American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown). He is very famous for his wide and rich sound.4 points

The dude on the keyboard or whatever is going to join the band as a full fledged member. Is this going to be the longest tease ever? It's like some Rocky Horror levels of antisa pation.3 points

I think all of this is already done. Question is are they gonna release it digitally first or wait for vinyl to be ready? If they want the vinyl it could be another six months which explains why Billie said the album may not be out until next year. Maybe a Sept/Oct single release at least like with FOAM2 points

I took Tre’s comment to be a joke about CLA’s toy keyboard playing, like suggesting that’s the record. You can hear Billie laughing in the background.2 points

Pretty sure the deal went off after the all star game performance 😂 But hey the only time Green Day had a deal with the NHL my team went to the Stanley Cup Final. I don't think it's coincidence.1 point

Yep. I hope the guys get a break between touring too. But who knows, maybe they're itching to do stuff outside of the FOAM/Hella Mega umbrella. But, it would be fantastic to have a single before the string of festivals happen in September/October (Lolla and Outside Lands probably too soon).1 point

That... uhhh.. doesn't sound right. In this video from CLA where they're wrapping up the mix of "Know Your Enemy", it was on February 27. Unless they recorded, mixed, and mastered something extremely late.1 point

@Redundantuserjinxboy seems to be right. This actually sound like a mix of the Revrad und Uno sound. I love it!1 point

Did y'all see Billie's nail polish in that TikTok video that was posted (on here - I don't use TikTok)? I know he's been wearing if for awhile now, but I just wanted to reiterate how much I love it. I wonder if this video is new. Billie's hair is certainly fluffier if it is.1 point

This is correct! Yes the FOD is exactly the same pedal, we just put a three position mid switch in place of the scoop button. There will be new dookie versions later this year. bill1 point

Cavallo, had versions of both heads already for the Dookie recordings. They were done by Bob Bradshaw at CAE originally then the later ones were modded by Martin Goulb at CAE. Both were used on Dookie. Although the SE is featured much more on Insomniac and that is where the classic live sound Billie still uses today started. Billie ordered a set of clones from Bradshaw while they were recording and they were the amps he used on the Dookie tour and the Woodstock performance. These are the two heads that were spray painted Meat and Pete and later painted pink and silver by the Network. These two heads were used on Insomniac and Nimrod along with an Orange OR100 a Bassman and a Jcm 800. Since the Nimrod recording these amps have only been used live. There are different amps used in the studio since. Warning is primarily a Black faced Bassman and a hiwatt. AI and 21CBD are primarily a Park70 that is modded with a Dookie style mod and an amp we call the Idiot which is also similar but different than an Se Lead (Meat) it has slightly less gain and less bottom end and is generally a “tighter” sounding amp. AI also features a lot of tweed Victoria amps primarily a 2x10 and a Twin. The Bassman and the HiWatt are also extensively used. Foxboro Hottubs is a Divided by 13 FTR 37 Billie, and a Low power tweed Twin Jason. Trilogy was a mix of all the cleaner amps and a JTM 45. No master volume amps were used. Rev Rad was back to the park 70 and the Divided by 13 primarily. Overall thoughts for trying to get Billies tone with the pedal or any amp is to use WAY less gain than you think. Play a guitar with a hot pickup and dig in!1 point
