I'm 100% positive that the project was at one point in time called 1972. I wouldn't be too surprised if over the course of making the project the name went through some changes. If I'm not mistaken it's been a little while since we saw a 1972 hashtag.

That's exactly what happened with RevRad!!! They announced Bang Bang on August 1st and it was released on Thursday, August 11th, and the album was released on Friday, October 7th, and by the way, those dates fall on those same weekdays this year!!!!

UPDATE: My friend, who is also a Green Day fan, and whom I gave one spare ticket to France show, convinced me to not give up. She even gave me 200 euro for flight ticket search, my mother also gave the same amount. So I started searching for flights, but unsuccesfully, and suddenly I found one random direct flight from Oslo to Paris. It was not cheap (I wrote the requests for a refund as you all suggested), but thanks to good people I could afford to buy it, and... I'm in Paris now!!! This means that I could see Green Day... and yesterday I was feeling completely hopeless. I still cannot believe this. I am very exhausted of this rollercoaster of emotions, but... fuck, it seems I really made it.

Ok, I have a question. If this is true and isn't a rumor, may I ask how long the process for mastering takes? I've never really followed a musical artist this closely before, so I'm still learning about all the technical stuff.

I mean yeah, those words are definitely all there. But any words to the effect of "THE NEW ALBUM" are conspicuously absent.

Maybe this thread should be Album 14 Speculation again seeing as I think we know it's a record at this stage? And still don't really know the relevance of #1972

Officially since Pop Disaster was a double headliner, it had to when they opened for Bad Religion just before Dookie came out late 93 or early 94. They’ve been a headlining act ever since

First thing comes to mind is when they toured with Blink but I think that was a split headliner. I know people at the time say Green Day outshone Blink by a lot

So happy to be able to watch this moment again and again. It reminded me that when he introduced Mike, Billie said they’d been friends since they were 10 years old and they looked at each other and laughed, 36,000 people went “aw” it was so sweet ❤️

I wouldn’t want VR instead of live but I can see an argument for it, they could reach places they wouldn’t or couldn’t visit and folk living more remotely could see more shows easier. I went to see 21st Century Breakdown in the cinema and it was great, not in a cinema would be better where you could dance and jump about easier. It wasn’t the same as seeing them live but I think it was quite successful. Quite of lot of plays and more traditional theatre productions are live streamed or shown in cinemas and I’m not sure why more music isn’t.

Well I haven't posted in so long but I'm back. Half dead from attending huddersfield and glasgow and still in shock because I finally met Billie! Only took nearly 30 years 😍

Where does this come from?! Let me tell you, having just got in from Bellahouston they had a great time, clearly enjoyed every minute and created a bunch more fans. If (and it’s quite a big if) Billie finds it is getting too much he can alter his performance. I would say he has anyway if you look at BIAB, it’s only natural, doesn’t mean they have to throw in the towel!
