  1. Some pics I took at the London show the other night. Some others can be found in the show post and Hella Mega post.

  3. No big deal! Thank you… You have a point but I think you’re looking at it from a wrong perspective. I don’t think it’s wrong of him to have an opinion and say it because there’s a thing called solidarity and we need it, if we want to function as a society. I’m not homeless, does that mean I don’t have the right to ask my city officials not to close down a hostel for people who have nowhere else to go? I’m not a refugee, does that mean I don’t have a right to say anything when people are left hungry and stranded at a train station? I mostly pass as white, does that mean I shouldn’t say anything against racism? It’s not about having an opinion but about caring about others and wanting other people to have their rights and supporting them. There’s nothing wrong with that per se. That being said, it says something about our society that the one person whose speaking out against Roe vs. Wade being revoked gets talked about the most is a cis white middle aged man. That doesn’t make him wrong to do so though.

  5. I am really surprised by how much coverage his comments are getting and how seriously people are taking it! You would think him saying he loves Italy while performing there will upset some US citizens, soooo sensitive! Don’t think it’s a slow news week anywhere!?

  6. Had a friend text me asking me if I had thoughts on Billie’s comments since it’s trending and they saw… I just said what I thought when I saw it— love my boy Billie but he already said this UK stuff a month ago, it’s nothing new and it seems to do more with Joey than anything. Solidarity is great but saying “I’m gonna leave cause the country is bad” fees so performative. I don’t think he meant for this to pick of traction so performative might be the wrong word but it’s not as great to me as some are saying and not as bad as others are saying.

  7. “Fuck America” is this decade’s “one minute” incident 🤣

  8. I know how awful it is here and how pissed off Billie is, for good reason (I'm horrified too), but I really hope he's not actually serious this time. I've always kind of took comfort in the fact that Green Day aren't all that far away from me and it will feel like a hole if they leave. I know that probably sounds ridiculous, but that's just the way I feel. I don't know how to describe it very well. The whole citizenship thing makes me feel weird too. He wouldn't be a fellow voter anymore. He wouldn't be able to use his "voice" to stand up for issues he believes in and against those he doesn't. Things can change, but it will require a lot of fighting. The more people to fight for what's right the better. Idk, sorry for rambling. It just fills me with a sense of dread when he says things like that even though I know it's not a big deal, even if he were serious.

  9. So my dream was an omen! Makes sense actually. Probably why he said you'll be seeing a lot more of me over here. Also THIS! "For your grandchildren" https://www.instagram.com/p/CfPXs83oKJ7/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

  11. A work of art! This is how he gets away with everything - he’s smart enough to handle things like this/has smart people around him.

  12. It was a genius move wasn’t it? Perfect misdirection sleight of hand. Look away from this drunken TikTok with 20 year old girls. Nothing to see here… Hey guess what? I’m moving to England! 😂

  14. I don’t blame him. Just tonight I advised my kids who will both be looking for jobs in the next 1-3 years to move to Canada and I’ll follow them. They’re researching residency permits. I’m fucking serious. We’re done.

  15. If a man isn't allowed to have an opinion on what women can and can't do with their bodies, then Roe never should have been fucking overturned to begin with.

  16. It’s now getting picked up and shared by mainstream political accounts I follow. Didn’t expect to see his name come up here

  17. Well come on, I’ll go with that except the climate would kill our poor California boy.

  18. Armstrong is a Scottish surname so he will fit well into Scotland ... if he decides to move there 😉

  19. Nearly every artist at Glastonbury from Lorde to Olivia Rodrigo said similar things about America and the Court that weekend from the stage. It’s not even original I don’t know why people would care more about the Green Day guy saying it versus much bigger current pop stars.

  20. I can’t check twitter for how much it blew up there, but I’ve noticed some minor outrage… intentionally or not, having a much bigger deal on social media at the same time is convenient. It’s surprising to me that there’s so much attention to him saying he’s leaving the US. This isn’t the first time he’s said something dramatic and it’s never been such a big deal. (Plus honestly… moving to the terf island isn’t much to brag about)

  21. Maybe he should move to Ireland He wasn't ever trending for the TikTok video. That was a minor blip that only hard-core fans noticed. His London rant has been trending since yesterday and still is, so it's a much bigger deal.

  22. It's because he dared to say "Fuck America" and that really triggers Republicans who love their country so much but also love a good insurrection. That's sarcasm. But it is true that it triggers them as much as someone saying something offensive about Jesus.

  23. Dreadful review from The Guardian, sounds like it was written by a bored old burnt out journalist who was made to attend the show. Did he look about him at all (or her or them, didn’t look to see who wrote it)?

  24. @Rumpelstiltskin2000 Just want to say how much I appreciate you posting these! Being on vacation, I don't have as much time to search pics as I normally do, so I'm really glad you do this. Hell, I haven't even posted bellie shots in the fangirls page in the past week to make up for the lack of bellie this tour!

  26. I love these classic rock covers, but if they can rehearse All The Young Dudes, they can rehearse an extra Green Day deep track and play it too.

  27. That sounds like what a friend of mine likes to call “Twitter brain rot” (sorry about the term, but her point is that it’s a way of thinking that originates from online debate and it doesn’t translate well into real life activism/actively makes it more difficult to organize). It sounds girlbossy and good on paper, but eventually, politics like this are divisive and all they do is give more power to the side that wants to limit people’s rights. Solidarity has nothing to do with approval… if you don’t have an opinion when your fellow people’s rights are in question, who benefits?

  28. Huh, I see is it as that is the very opposite of having opinion on it. Its "hey, its your uterus" vs "hey, we decide what you do with it".

  29. i will say this i absolute love the fact that right wingers are foaming at the mouth with what Billie said since roe v wade has been overturned they should be doing victory dances and partying with their mistresses .... they are instead malding over what a "washed up" , "irreverent" , "commie" (their words not mine) has to say on the matter 🤣

  34. God bless BJ. But the UK is possibly even worse at the moment, they are trying to deport immigrants to Rwanda FFS and are trying to breach international law in regards to the Northern Ireland Protocol. Out of the frying pan into the fire …

  35. Why is the citizenship such a big thing to people in the US? In the comment sections, people take his words so personal, like Billie insulted everyone‘s families 😅
    2 points
  36. The thing is, I don’t think this is about the US as much as he makes it out to be. He’ll be spending a lot of time in the UK because he’s going to have grandchildren there and he’ll want to see them. That’s a perfectly wholesome and understandable reason to move. Also as a marketing asshole at heart, I have to appreciate how this got him trending on twitter after he already was trending because of the tiktok.
