It was cool to see Jakob play She. Haha. I really wanted to see Ultra Q but my dumb self got lost at the festival like i was at one stage thinking it was another then wondering why at 2:45 this other band was playing but not Ultra Q😭😭

You think so? He looks about the same as at the last show they played. I'm wondering if he'll return to his pre-pandemic physique for the new album's release with all the promos and stuff they'll probably do. Whenever that ends up happening, that is. I loved his nail polish! But not enough floof and not enough eyeliner as usual. Other than that he looked great! I'm happy to see the skinny jeans are back, but would like more color on him.

So, from what I"ve heard, Jakob and Jason White actually surprised Billie by having Jakob come out and play the guitar for She, and it wasn't planned. It's even sweeter if true! (I read it off of the Reddit)

They will play one song from 1972 and then never touch it again.

The ultimate test will be to see what a setlist looks like after they release a new album, and they are not interpreted by tragedies like cancer, rehab or covid. I do have a new perspective on the stagnant setlist though. The Redundant podcast talked in length about how Idiot got them out of The Shadow Of Dookie. That was their goal to have new songs that people would attach to like when they first blewup and they did it. So while us Green Day fans think "oh balls, they are playing Holiday for the 9,736,334th time, the band still has that feeling of bleep yeah, we're not forced to just play Dookie every night for eternity. American Idiot feels new to them, even though it's pushing 20. I'm still bummed about all the great albums getting no rep though.

Finally back at my hotel room. I have much to say about this day but am too beat to type it out at the moment, so I'll just say hearing Pasalacqua live was a top five life experience. It's been a dream song for me to hear live for so long and I lost my shit harder than I ever have at any show. Tore up the mosh and screamed my lungs out. People were randomly hugging me, grabbing my hands to dance, it was pure love in the pit. Only two times I stopped during that song were to dry heave from exhaustion 😅

And the skinny jeans are back I see 🙂

I never realised the musical soundtrack vinyl was worth much. I see it sells from between £113-£220! One went yesterday for £165!
