  1. It would be hilarious if none of the teasers were on the actual record, just red herrings to confuse and confound us.

  2. And no Max Creeps on the bill either 😂

  3. I love this. This is an event, but the event is that nothing happens. There’s also no way this contributes to anything related to Ukraine or helps anyone. Postmodern masterpiece

  4. Billie’s spoiling us with gorgeous photos right now in his story. Can someone post here?

  5. I'm glad that I was prepared for a letdown. Still a bit sad, though. I was hoping for more of a Live Aid/Live 8 style event.

  6. Okay. Album thread. Now.

  7. Didn’t see that they’ll be playing, just that the tour was nominated for an award

  8. They’re at the best when you get the sense that they’ve all contributed more or less equally

  9. And it’s over. And all we got was a performance from John Lennon’s son. This was a bust

  10. I'm just getting bad vibes about this whole thing. Like how Mike wasn't present for the first half of the recording session then they went back to record more, potentially because they didn't like how it came out? Not good. See I can pull things outta my ass too

  11. The networks latest album kinda felt like the most green day album since the 90s in a sense. There was Tre and Mike songs, and they weren't afraid to just be fucking goofy (with some real themes in between.) I hope 1972 is similar to that

  12. If anyone is interested the event has raised $10+ billion for Ukraine

  13. Surprised no one had put these new pics in here yet Don't think we'd seen any of these before

  14. Yeah I decided to not go to the show tonight. But if it turns out that green day does surprise (slightest chance), I'm gonna be so pissed for missing it

  17. There are a few new ones, love the Charlie Chaplin one, and the one in the bath………wrong thread to talk about that one!

  18. I don’t think there’s any chance this is happening. From Gilman stories:

  19. Billie is not only a talented musician, he's an expression extraordinaire. Here's another good one I saw recently.

  20. And Billie's phrasing "so bummed" like album.

  21. Blah blah blah, outnoodle each other, got it.

  22. Imagine Father of All if there had been a couple of songs sung by Mike Dirnt. It's already perfect, but that would have sent it into the stratosphere.

  23. No idea. They had an empty Facebook page too, and both were located as Seattle. Maybe they had content before and wiped it? Googling them turns up nothing. This is baseless speculation but it would be cool if it was a new fictional character to be featured on 1972 (like a St Jimmy or Ziggy Stardust character) Don’t get too excited by that idea. Max Creeps has both an empty Facebook and Twitter account that were created in June 2021. Then again, the single IG post was on March 22, just after their arrival in London. Should this be speculation for the album thread?

  24. From Billie's Instagram story Mike from @batmansmom From Kevin From Green Day Jason Freese also posted about the nomination SJC Drums posted about Tre's Modern Drummer cover

  26. Okay here’s a good sign of great things to come! They just announced, along with Weezer and Fall Out Boy, they’ll be playing at the Billboard Music Awards on May 15th!!!

  28. Now that would be the one thing to make me worry they’re breaking up It would be badass though.

  29. The fact that they've been teasing this album since December of last year just tells me they must be really in love with it and excited to share it whenever it's ready.

  33. I'm really digging what they are doing now. They may not be revealing many details, but they are definitely dropping in enough hints to keep us satisfied, and they are consistent enough now where it doesn't feel like they are going to go silent for a month or so before the next hint. The sun is out longer, the weather is getting warmer, and the boys are active. What else can I ask for?

  34. No, sorry, that’s me. 😉

  35. OK but can they please play a secret show in London while they're here (not so secret I don't hear about it of course) I think at a tiny show like Gilman, fresh off of the back of recording some new material it's safe to say they'd be excited enough about it to play at least one new song.

  36. I'm so hyped about the songs. Also very happy that RC is in the production again. And yes, i loved the Trilogy xD

  37. I still think it is. They used the hashtag #RevRad on the first post in the studio early 2016. It was an abbreviation but still the title

  38. I think it's more likely that they refer to the bass itself as "The weapon", but it could well be the name of a song too

  39. Rob Cavallo is the guy in the photo 100% That doesnt mean he’s definitely producing it but I’d hedge my bets that he is. That’s his job. You don’t fly out to London to come and hang out, with the band who’s records you’ve produced most of.

  40. The Trilogy was great, just criminally underrated especially since Billie associated it with bad times, i.e, the iHeart incident and rehab
