I was thinking and there might be a method to Billie's social media madness. Despite how he presents himself at times, Billie is a pretty smart cookie and is probably more tech savvy than we give him credit for. I'm sure he knows that when he posts things, people will start spreading it around right away and it will continue to exist whether he deletes it or not. Maybe this is why he deletes his more "controversial" stories and posts on Instagram after a few minutes. He knows fans will repost it and people will see it, so deleting it saves him the trouble of being harassed by trolls. Most trolls aren't going to go after fan accounts or people just sharing his posts, so it's safe for them, just not Billie himself. Plus it's fun for fans and contributes to the sense of community. So it's really a win-win. Whether or not this is Billie's actual motivation behind deleting his posts all the time is unknowable, but I just thought that was an interesting idea.

Wearing a mask isn't locking down. It's just being considerate to others by helping to further minimise the spread, and doesn't prevent anyone doing anything.

Sounds like your minister of health has got his head screwed on right. It's the truth! COVID won't end just because the mandate has and there could be a resurgence of cases as well as new variants. It's not an endemic virus yet. Lifting mandates could end up fucking up everything we're looking forward to again. I really want to see Green Day play, even if I can't be there. I always love all the photos and videos and it's great to experience that second hand. If COVID blows up again because people keep jumping the gun, we may not get that. Honestly, wearing a mask has almost become a kind of security blanket for me. I feel safe when I'm wearing it, I don't have to worry about how my face looks, I can make any expression I want and no one will see it, it keeps my face warm in cold weather... it's great. I'm going to keep wearing one even when the mandate ends and I hope others continue to as well.

The mask mandate is ending here on the 21st and I'm not happy about it. 😒 I think it's too soon. There are cases increasing again, but GD has already played here so it's up to you, Europe! I reeeeeaaaally want them to come back as just Green Day, though! Hella Mega just wasn't the same. I loved seeing them, but I wanted it to be a just for GD fans kind of show where they can play longer and have more fun throwing random songs in.
