I have 6 gigs in as many weeks this Spring/Summer (1 GD gig) and it is crazy to keep on top of when they were booked (2019 or 2021), where they were booked (Ticketmaster, Gigs & Tours, venue website), and what type of ticket each gig has (postal, print @ home, e-ticket, unknown). You've got to be well organised (and slightly crazy) to go to so many gigs in such a short space of time.
I feel this! We had our mask mandate lifted too and while I've been wearing it less, I still put it on especially on public transit. But I do like how it covers my face so no one sees if I'm having a bad breakout or reacting to something. Though sometimes I still react to something random and forget I don't have the mask to protect me! 😂
Billie and Tré recorded in London without Mike, who laid down his bass tracks remotely. So maybe when they got back home and reunited with him, maybe the reunion inspired them to record more songs live in the same room together!!! Notice how the first teaser is the only one that mentions London
If you would’ve told me when this was first teased in December that by mid march we still wouldn’t have any sort of an official announcement I would have called you crazy… What the hell is crush doing? I’m not gonna say that the band doesn’t care about its fans because they do, but their management doesn’t care seem to care all that much. This is the same management that shafted everyone that bought the lousy ass VIP packages for hella mega.
The Rolling Stones have announced a European tour for June & July: https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-rolling-stones-sixty-60th-anniversary-uk-europe-2022-tour-tickets-3181436
The last tour date is in September and they'll definitely take a break after that so we're looking at the end of 2022 for the album release. Unless they release it while touring, which would be weird.
I think they’re rehearsing for next week’s Innings Festival and we won’t hear anything before then. If they didn’t release anything for that Superbowl show or Billie’s birthday I’m back to thinking this will be a traditional type record release that may drop in the fall after the tour. RevRad was first teased like nine months before it came out, I think the Trilogy and 21CB were too like 9-12 months or something. Whatever 1972 is it may still be in the planning stages with six songs from London in the can and the rest a work in progress
I think their original plan was scrapped as far as a release date and they're regrouping. Could be due to changes to the album, could be the Ukraine situation, could really be a number of things. The real question now is whether they're waiting until after the tour to release it.

Wow I never knew Mike could play piano too!!!
I agree that it has seem like random promo, but when you think about it, it’s really only been 2 and a half months of even knowing that they were working on something new. I think everyone got convinced with theories that something must be happening the very next day with every teaser, but if we just take a step back it’s a cool project that’s clearly coming in the next few months, and I’m sure there will be some promo and lessons learned from FOAM employed
I just bought the Blu-ray disc of Ordinary World the other day and finally watched it, and was just watching this interview yesterday. Thanks for sharing the photos.
The movie was great. Billie was too cute... 😍
