He should just turn the comments off or block and report people who DM him about it. I know how passionate he gets, though, and that might make it hard for him.

Billie and Tré recorded in London without Mike, who laid down his bass tracks remotely. So maybe when they got back home and reunited with him, maybe the reunion inspired them to record more songs live in the same room together!!! Notice how the first teaser is the only one that mentions London

Maybe they were going to just drop a few songs out of nowhere and then thought the songs were too good for that and needed to be on an album. Or they got inspiration from the songs for an album. Just guessing.

Just saying it doesn't mean it's pointless. It's not a choice between lockdown and don't take any sensible precautions at all.

L7 just cancelled their upcoming European & UK tour due covid and travel logistic related issue. They were supposed to be playing around Europe in June. I still hope for the Hella Mega Tour to happen (and the many other concerts that should take place in Europe)

I feel this! We had our mask mandate lifted too and while I've been wearing it less, I still put it on especially on public transit. But I do like how it covers my face so no one sees if I'm having a bad breakout or reacting to something. Though sometimes I still react to something random and forget I don't have the mask to protect me! 😂

Yeah but they have a new deal so maybe it’s distribution only or not a fixed number of albums deal. They can drop music whenever they want now so it makes it harder to predict what 1972 will be. It would clearly be an album (that would be months from release) with world tour to follow under the old deal. Now, who knows (even though it’s starting to look a lot like the old thing)

I’m wondering about that “world tour” comment he made to the woman at the airport. Technically Europe over the summer is a world tour and would fit the “soon” comment. A real world tour like they’ve done in the past would include all the continents they had to cancel since 2020 and couldn’t reschedule like Asia, Aus/NZ and South America (Canada too). I know they want to get back to all these places for those fans. Could they be planning a real world tour for 2023?

I think their original plan was scrapped as far as a release date and they're regrouping. Could be due to changes to the album, could be the Ukraine situation, could really be a number of things. The real question now is whether they're waiting until after the tour to release it.

Wearing a mask isn't locking down. It's just being considerate to others by helping to further minimise the spread, and doesn't prevent anyone doing anything.

If you would’ve told me when this was first teased in December that by mid march we still wouldn’t have any sort of an official announcement I would have called you crazy… What the hell is crush doing? I’m not gonna say that the band doesn’t care about its fans because they do, but their management doesn’t care seem to care all that much. This is the same management that shafted everyone that bought the lousy ass VIP packages for hella mega.

Sounds like your minister of health has got his head screwed on right. It's the truth! COVID won't end just because the mandate has and there could be a resurgence of cases as well as new variants. It's not an endemic virus yet. Lifting mandates could end up fucking up everything we're looking forward to again. I really want to see Green Day play, even if I can't be there. I always love all the photos and videos and it's great to experience that second hand. If COVID blows up again because people keep jumping the gun, we may not get that. Honestly, wearing a mask has almost become a kind of security blanket for me. I feel safe when I'm wearing it, I don't have to worry about how my face looks, I can make any expression I want and no one will see it, it keeps my face warm in cold weather... it's great. I'm going to keep wearing one even when the mandate ends and I hope others continue to as well.

I’m still waiting for the next proper Green Day tour that’s not stadium packages or festivals. Is this all they’re gonna do now, crowds of 50,000? I’m not interested in paying to see all these other acts and dealing with those kinds of crowds where they play nothing but the same hits and you can’t see shit.
