I think they’re rehearsing for next week’s Innings Festival and we won’t hear anything before then. If they didn’t release anything for that Superbowl show or Billie’s birthday I’m back to thinking this will be a traditional type record release that may drop in the fall after the tour. RevRad was first teased like nine months before it came out, I think the Trilogy and 21CB were too like 9-12 months or something. Whatever 1972 is it may still be in the planning stages with six songs from London in the can and the rest a work in progress

I think their original plan was scrapped as far as a release date and they're regrouping. Could be due to changes to the album, could be the Ukraine situation, could really be a number of things. The real question now is whether they're waiting until after the tour to release it.

Wearing a mask isn't locking down. It's just being considerate to others by helping to further minimise the spread, and doesn't prevent anyone doing anything.

Billie and Tré recorded in London without Mike, who laid down his bass tracks remotely. So maybe when they got back home and reunited with him, maybe the reunion inspired them to record more songs live in the same room together!!! Notice how the first teaser is the only one that mentions London

I’m wondering about that “world tour” comment he made to the woman at the airport. Technically Europe over the summer is a world tour and would fit the “soon” comment. A real world tour like they’ve done in the past would include all the continents they had to cancel since 2020 and couldn’t reschedule like Asia, Aus/NZ and South America (Canada too). I know they want to get back to all these places for those fans. Could they be planning a real world tour for 2023?

The last tour date is in September and they'll definitely take a break after that so we're looking at the end of 2022 for the album release. Unless they release it while touring, which would be weird.

He's not one of those celebrities who's constantly posting about every fucking thing they do and "oMg loOk At hoW aMAziNg My liFe iS, I'M aN INflUeNcer!11!1" garbage. Sadly, a lot of them are like that. But Billie is genuine, kind, and at times modest to the point of self deprecation. It's a wonderful thing that he values just being a regular person who has his own life.

I know, at least that’s what they seemed most excited about. It would be weird if despite that they still fell back into the same old pattern. That was why I thought they were going to do something different and drop a surprise EP with little warning. Now I don’t know what they’re thinking but it sure is starting to seem like a traditional record release and tour if they’re teasing something months in advance

Masks and COVID precautions are appropriate when surges are starting to occur and are occurring. If we have them all the time, people get burned out and compliance during surges decreases. We have to be smart about how we do this and have a standard plan for surge periods, such as masks/free tests/treatment with the antiviral pill. And of course encouraging vaccines year-round. This virus isn't ever going away. If we try to enact strict measures while the cases are very low, like now, I guarantee people will revolt and we'll have less compliance when we really need it. Not saying wearing a mask isn't a nice thing to do, it is, but mandating it right now would really backfire.

Maybe they were going to just drop a few songs out of nowhere and then thought the songs were too good for that and needed to be on an album. Or they got inspiration from the songs for an album. Just guessing.

They're coming back to South America in september 90% confirmed (I mean I've just heard rumors but I don't think they'll come here and just play one concert in Brazil).

Idk. I wanna be positive about all the 1972 thing. Maybe they want to manage it as a big project instead as a EP or something. Could be that they are planning a world tour(starting in US) with the 1972 thematic and the only frame time in 2022 is between Oct to Dec that they could do that. So a fall release for me sounds logical.

If you would’ve told me when this was first teased in December that by mid march we still wouldn’t have any sort of an official announcement I would have called you crazy… What the hell is crush doing? I’m not gonna say that the band doesn’t care about its fans because they do, but their management doesn’t care seem to care all that much. Sounds like your minister of health has got his head screwed on right. It's the truth! COVID won't end just because the mandate has and there could be a resurgence of cases as well as new variants. It's not an endemic virus yet. Lifting mandates could end up fucking up everything we're looking forward to again. I really want to see Green Day play, even if I can't be there. I always love all the photos and videos and it's great to experience that second hand. If COVID blows up again because people keep jumping the gun, we may not get that. Honestly, wearing a mask has almost become a kind of security blanket for me. I feel safe when I'm wearing it, I don't have to worry about how my face looks, I can make any expression I want and no one will see it, it keeps my face warm in cold weather... it's great. I'm going to keep wearing one even when the mandate ends and I hope others continue to as well.
