  1. I still think it's absolutely criminal that this show was not pro-shot and televised/streamed online. Think of the amazing footage! This is the longest show they've played in years and it pulled out all the stops and included deep cuts and spontaneity. Whoever the people are for making the decision not to broadcast this, I wish them to be forever plagued with an itch they can't reach and embarrassing no reason boners (since they're probably rich white men). There also seems to be a dearth of professional photographs too. It's not even been a week yet, though. Hopefully more things will surface for us as time goes on in the near future.

  6. Billie looks beyond amazing! I absolutely love the red suit and the polkadot shirt combo. He always looks good in black and red! His hair is gorgeous and I love that it's got some hint of bangs rather than being gelled away from his forehead completely. I've missed that. How is he going to be 5- ...I can't even say it. He looks like he's gone back in time. And I don't know if it's just me, but does he look slimmer than HM? He's still not a twig, obviously, but I feel like he's definitely more slender.

  8. I only follow bands and music sites in Twitter to keep up and I find it incredibly helpful. Though these days I'm not on it as much as I was which has been nice. It's too overwhelming and stressful to try to keep up with everything going on.

  9. As I've said before the trilogy holds a special place in my heart because that's when I became active in the GD community. I first joined GDC around that time! So it was just fun finding a place where I can be excited and gush about these songs with other fans. It's also the era where I first saw GD live, so a very special time despite Billie's stint in rehab.

  14. starting to use twitter is the worst thing anyone can do for themselves these days. It was fun when he was posting there a lot in 2011, but the site has become incredibly toxic. I’m glad he’s staying away (and definitely not looking himself up on there)

  15. That second shot is great! It's just what Tre looks like when he stands up onstage.

  16. It's possible we might not get any announcements this week. Maybe Billie is just focused on enjoying his 50th bday 🤷‍♀️

  17. I loved it! Thought it was the best half time show in years! 😄 But I'm also a big Eminem and a lot of the songs performed took me on a nostalgia trip.

  18. It’s true for a Superbowl event where was all the media? Did they all go home after Miley? No photographs and I only saw one print review and it was mostly about Miley’s set. Green Day closed the show which made them technically the headliner

  19. I’m not sure if he is slimmer or not, he was hardly chunky during HM but the reality is, even slim people by 50 struggle with a bellie. If you look at Mike more meat on a butcher’s pencil Dirnt, even he is developing a little bellie 😂😂 I agree he could, just don’t think he will, sadly!

  24. Listening to I Think We're Alone Now live infront of thousands of people kinda to me feels like a celebration of were we are now. The song really connects to the pandemic to me because it was the first No fun Monday song in march 2020 Like "hey, this song is about being locked up, alone, because of a virus, but now we are able to be togehter again and enjoy life"

  28. Can’t say I love the suit/trousers but it’s nice to see him wearing colour and I like the shirt, especially the way it opened more as the show went on and wasn’t too long. 😍😍😍

  33. This is a kick in the balls Not entirely true. My younger cousin got into Green Day during this time and I did see younger people at the show on the tour. It didn't bring in the same waves of new fans like AI but Green Day still is heavily listened to by a younger audience.

  35. Gonna make myself unpopular and say she ought to have given someone else the chance to get on stage although she's not the first to go up more than once. I'd be a bit embarrassed admitting I'd got two guitars that way! Surely the band would prefer as many different people as possible to have that chance? I posted those pics a few pages ago! https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ8WnkXrIEp/?utm_medium=copy_link https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ7tj85PtyB/?utm_medium=copy_link https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ7hnqGvRqV/?utm_medium=copy_link

  37. Same. I think we sometimes over think things on here, or maybe over worry, I don’t know but we manage to wind ourselves up and then deflate. I’ve so loved seeing everything from last night. Can’t wait for whatever is next!

  42. Honestly, it's all gravy to me after living through the great dry spell between AI and 21CB and almost losing them entirely after the trilogy. I mean, the amount of material they've put out within the last few years is astounding, I couldn't be happier as a Green Day fan these days.
