Who styled Billie's hair? And why did he give that the okay? I hate that look for him, it's so unflattering. Seems like it was an amazing show, though!

Months ago @Slave To The Network mentioned a photo that had been cropped to just show Billie. I said it was from an old article in a UK newspaper of Green Day stood at a bus stop. Well my computer still isn't fixed but somebody posted a blurry copy of it on Instagram so here it is with Mike and Tre It's a really cool photo I think Also I think we might have had this one in here before but posting again!

Well they are in Vegas and the hair style is very Elvis

I'm so disappointed by Billie's hair at the Life Is Beautiful concert! I hate that look. It's never worked for him imo and it's NOT doing it for me as a fangirl. It's the exact opposite of what I wanted. Certainly not embracing the floof and the curls. He looked so good in that shot of them getting off the plane! What happened? He looks like Warning era Billie right now with the hairstyle and the chubbiness. I hope he doesn't continue with this look for Global Citizen or the European leg of Hella Mega. That gif above is perfection. Let's see some of that! He just needs his hair styled fluffy and to slap on a bit more eyeliner and you'd never notice a difference between then and now.

Aka my first Green Day concert!

I dunno if he did his own hair for it but I think usually when he slicks it back (or wears a bandana etc) it's when a hairdresser isn't straighening it for him. I know too well that thick curly/frizzy hair takes a lot of time and effort to style/just make presentable (whether you want it straight or curly) so I never blame him for how he deals with it lol. Be thankful he doesn't cut it really short as an easier option 😈 That said he might've just gone with the Elvis look because it was Las Vegas! Looks pretty well styled so probably was that. The hair and outfit combo is a great look imo, he doesn't have to have the same style at every show. Agreed, I don't get the obsession over his weight (besides his little tummy being cute haha). The guy is nearly 50 and he looks amazing.

I also absolutely agree that the hairstyle isn't working for him imho and that the floof is much nicer. That being said, I loved the concert and I think that even though the setlist was the same as for HM, the band and the audience seemed to have a good time. The only thing that annoys me a little bit is that, on social media, the same people - mostly more casual fans, I guess - that were always begging for a new concert proshot are now somewhat fatshaming Billie after watching the livestream instead of enjoying that their hopes were finally fulfilled.

Billie looked the hottest out of the whole Green Day 2021 tour last night and looked like he was having an absolute blast. Cool hair and clothes and fun yet commanding stage performance… the total package. So hot, fun and powerful too = 🔥🔥🔥🔥 If blonde = clues to recording time maybe Longshot hair-do = secret small shows…

I like how it's cut, they focus on the band not the audience. I hate how with some festival footage (iHeart for example) they spend more time showing randos in the crowd singing than they show the band performing. This has minimal audience shots.

I remember when they played at Global Citizen in the RevRad Era and it was amazing! I loved that performance, I hope they will perform

In theory it’s a free show because in theory all the shows at the Double Down are free. Maybe it’s a strategy they’re not announcing a show. Or maybe this was all a big tease with no real show. It’s too big a tease to be nothing. Even Kevin Preston tagged #doubledownsaloon on the Coverups Instagram post. Or maybe it’s a big tease and a let down. Seems out of character for them to do that this blatantly to disappoint fans without at least taking the posts and tags down if it wasn’t happening.

This is one of my fav Billie hair styles. Plus, it was probably really hot in Vegas and on this tour. This style stays looking good and is probably a lot more comfortable to perform in. It’s very rock’n’roll and practical too. I give the style for Life is Beautiful a 5/5 and A+.

I have this poster on my bedroom wall! Well thank you time zones, I actually managed to catch that from early on in Knowledge so that made my day, excellent! Sounded great, looked great, saw loads of comments about Billie’s stamina, from non GD fans I guess.

Good Riddance never fails to be the most bittersweet closer to a concert ever. It just gives you this thought of “No, don’t go!”

The first Oakland one was a regular vacation (GD pilgrimage); the other CA ones were one or two day trips (my office is used to me saying, sorry, can't come in on Tuesday, gotta fly out to Oakland for a minute ). The Philly one was my vacation this summer; GD just happened to reschedule their show for when I was already going to be there. I would have loved to have seen Billie on Broadway! That and a Foxies show would probably be my top two wishes.

There's a customer who comes in to my work from time to time named Claire Armstrong, and every time I have the biggest urge to ask "Any relation to Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong?" even though it's a super common name and there's no way. But what if? What if she was like "Oh, yeah I'm his first cousin once removed" or some shit like that? I guess I'll never know!

I heard Good Riddance on what was the "oldies" station tonight. I think their programming format has broadened in recent years, but it was still jarring to hear my favorite band on the station my dad would listen to when I was a kid and annoy me 😂

When you see one of these randomly parked in the middle of nowhere and immediately think of Green Day because they use these trucks when they're in the UK touring
