I like this moment of the 2nd BTS video- it may well be used as a meme on this site like Billie nodding during the Still Breathing BTS video7 points

Happy Birthday Bang Bang! How are you 5 already?! I can vividly recall rushing in from work to listen to it for the first time, and the Rev Rad era was the soundtrack to one of the best times of my life.7 points

Unlisted on my Youtube account. I didn't know how to upload it otherwise. Sorry for the quality. First time I'm recording my phone screen 😅6 points

I've always loved the stage photos and I'm really glad they're still posting some. I remember getting home from school/college in my teens and checking the Green Day website or Idiot Club to see if there were new photos from the last show. For the shows I was actually at, they were really special and I'm sure people who are at these shows feel the same way. I'm still salty that Green Day stopped posting photo galleries before I got onstage and I only have one professional shot of it But they've never been particularly consistent with any kind of promotion and it's just how it is. When you've seen a lot of stage photos over the years then yeah, they can all start to look the same, but now there's a pandemic and I can't imagine going to any gig any time soon, they seem more like they used to when I was a fangirling teenager. At the end of the day I love Green Day's live show more than I'm interested in their lives. As personal as behind the scenes posts can seem, they're never going to be a 100% accurate representation of any celebrity anyway. Also, I'm not on Instagram right now (seriously can't blame anyone for staying away), so I appreciate everyone sharing photos here!6 points

But what the company is doing - uploading content, Live Photos - is what they’ve always done at least as far back as warning when they uploaded pics from the tours, in those days on the website, so that hasn’t changed. The band members doing their own thing is separate altogether. what I’m saying is, the band has always had different ‘fads’ regarding how they interact with fans (billie sending photos from his house to the website in 1997, when they would leave phone messages on greenday.com in the early 2000s, uploading behind the scenes as they made AI, q&a’s on idiot nation, Twitter, eventually Instagram. Ultimately it all trickled off in the end. But the uploading of ‘official’ content has still always been there alongside that stuff.6 points

I haven't seen anyone say FOB should've stilled played. Only things people have said is either refunds should be offered for those who don't want to go unless it's all the three bands they paid for (which I think is happening), that there shouldn't just be a silent gap where they would've played (which I don't think there is), or that they shouldn't be doing the tour yet or should cancel it while there's still so much risk.5 points

I love Instagram. Thank goodness for Greg Schneider and his awesome photos. Really cool and feels meaningful too. And Jason White is the best. That was a great post and photo series ❤️5 points

It's weird, even though I know the other shows were far from cool, it seems like the heat was really getting to them tonight. The second I saw Billie without a jacket, I knew they were feeling the heat. I honestly thought the thing with Mike at the end wasn't serious (or was planned) because the cameras/monitors showed him sitting down, but in hindsight it wouldn't be surprising if he felt bad. God knows I was kind of miserable sitting/standing out there, so I can't imagine how they did it. And I thank them for it!5 points

You’re right that it’s what the corporate requires them to do either way (to promote the band), but now it’s visibly corporate since the band left the job to the company.5 points

Poor Mike! Must just be brutal doing the show in that heat.4 points

I am glad Mike is ok but sad people are getting sick on all sorts of levels. This leg of the tour will be over soon. Next tour / next album hopefully no masks or anxiety and all the other baggage.4 points

I don't really get how that makes it seem corporate? As enjoyable as they were the livestreams and restarting posting on different social media etc for Rev Rad was certainly suggested/encouraged by the corporations they work for as it's good advertising. There's no way they're not doing it because their management don't want them to, it's just a personal choice. Not feeling like being on social media isn't a corporate move - forcing themselves to do it even though they don't want to because their management wants them to would be though. I miss Billie's posts too but if he's not into being on social media it's better that he isn't. No one should spend their leisure time on an activity they're happier without and social media in particular is one that can really be a negative to have in in your life if you're not enjoying it. If he feels like it again one day that'll be awesome but him forcing it despite not enjoying it to please management and/or fans wouldn't even be good.4 points

I still can’t believe this tour is happening. Tried it, someone got sick and who knows how many we don’t even know about. It’s not like a random audience member is making headlines or maybe they are. I don’t know. I can’t wait until this tour ends. I don’t get the point unless it’s all just money and contracts and just getting it over with. In the meantime it is nice to see the band performing and looking good. But it’s nerve wracking.3 points

Dammit. That's perfect weather. Now I'm even more salty about refunding my tickets, but *sigh...3 points

Bullshit. It was for their safety to ensure the show goes on. Nothing to do with audience safety3 points

I know a lot of y'all are super bummed about not seeing FOB but please remember it is a global pandemic and they were trying to do the right thing and not put themselves or anyone else at risk. I work back of house and it was literally for their safety and yours. Be thankful that the tour is still even going on. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1251934598264230/user/1208902556/3 points

Hope he’s ok, I saw a post that he was ok later, had a wet towel round his neck. How on earth does Billie Joe keep hydrated, the man sweats like a horse normally, the heat must be a real problem for them!?3 points

It’s fucking hot in the middle of the US right now. Last night at 11pm it still felt like 95 F in my area! (In Kansas) Today’s heat is expected to be over 100 F for me. I can’t even imagine having to be on stage in this. I hope the entire crew is drinking plenty of water. Chicago tomorrow is gonna be a bitch… edit: so Chicago isn’t until Sunday (it’s early here). Not sure why I’m thinking it’s tomorrow… it’s still gonna be stupid hot 🥵3 points

@jumpsalty I think you totally right, but those of who followed Billie loved his posts, they were random, often funny and we just miss them, as simple as that.3 points
