@jumpsalty I think you totally right, but those of who followed Billie loved his posts, they were random, often funny and we just miss them, as simple as that.

When I got the email, I was literally planning to come on here and say that maybe I should lose faith in them more often, but you sort of beat me to it. Why did they use the censored version of American Idiot at the end of the video, though? That seems super weird. GD fans are used to Billie saying fuck.

I don't really get how that makes it seem corporate? As enjoyable as they were the livestreams and restarting posting on different social media etc for Rev Rad was certainly suggested/encouraged by the corporations they work for as it's good advertising. There's no way they're not doing it because their management don't want them to, it's just a personal choice. Not feeling like being on social media isn't a corporate move - forcing themselves to do it even though they don't want to because their management wants them to would be though. I miss Billie's posts too but if he's not into being on social media it's better that he isn't. No one should spend their leisure time on an activity they're happier without and social media in particular is one that can really be a negative to have in in your life if you're not enjoying it. If he feels like it again one day that'll be awesome but him forcing it despite not enjoying it to please management and/or fans wouldn't even be good.

I don’t think we will ever get the same kind of content from Billie because he’s gotten ‘guarded’ since the Joey situation, in my opinion. He stopped social media and the stuff home stuff/personal stuff around that time and I guess he’s enjoying it enough to not bother professionally either. It’s sad yeah but we aren’t owed anything and the ‘disconnect’ is in our own heads really because before Instagram we never had content like this, but we always had photos from live shows afterwards, so to say it’s corporate or whatever is a bit silly. They’ve been doing that for years and years.

Totally agree, def gained a few lockdown pounds KTP! His whole frame is petite, I love seeing this stuff. The huge screens look so good, ideal for a short fan like me.

When you have to sign up for something it feels like just a way to collect your personal info and once they have that they don’t have anyone who can be bothered to maintain these things and keep providing content when they already have what they need from you. It’s like the Text Frank Storm thing. We thought that was gonna be a fun fan thing but they got your cell number, sent you one or two texts at most and then nothing. It was just a ruse to steal your phone number. This feels the same. Weeks into the tour and we’ve only had a bit of backstage footage from the pre-tour secret show in Tulsa. I bet they do one more video at the end of the tour covering all of it, like they did at the end of RevRad in South America. Another slick, produced video. Not the road shenanigans we hoped for.

I think they all do a little except for Mike looking the same as usual (which is a good thing) and Tré getting ripped (which is also a good thing). I think they all look great just the same. But Tré got ripped. I love saying that: Tré got ripped, Tré getting ripped, Tré is ripped. Fun and true to say. Hehe he looks great. And I love the Bellie. BJA looks really great on this tour. Celebration drinks after the show and having fun and eating yummy food? He looks so happy and his physique is great for special stage dancing. I am also a little heavier. Pandemic. Comfy food and re-learning about pre-dinner drinks.

They usually do 2 leg in a tour. But this is a totally unknown situation. Maybe they'll drop a new record later next year, and they'll tour soon after

I think back to when he was doing No Fun Mondays and how good that felt to have something to look forward to during lockdown. Every week a new post, song and video. I was incredibly depressed from March through May 2020 and it really helped a lot

I was just thinking the same thing. The silence is so deafening this time. I just re-watched the Wrigley Field press conference to cheer myself up a bit. Damn, that was so funny and cute. Demetri notwithstanding! 😂

Kevin and the Jasons have been posting too, but it would be more impactful coming from main members of the band for most fans. So far Tré is the only one of the three who seems to be putting in any effort at all. You could use the excuse that they're all focused on the tour and playing concerts and whatever to be more involved, but that didn't hold them back during RevRad. The off the cuff, casual and silly behind the scenes stuff we got then was magnitudes better than anything they've done so far on this tour. The one video we got felt distant and staged and I'm not hopeful we'll even get more.

And this has got to be the whole point about the set list for this tour. I know many of us would rather have just GD but this is what we are getting and no other set list makes sense.

Pre going tonight thanks to someone on Twitter...I thought the setlist was lame but after being there—the energy people had for the songs was something special. I was in the stands and not a person was sitting, even people who were sitting for Weezer and The Interrupters. People were so into Green Day it was great to see and people lost it song after song. This setlist was for the masses and I’ve come to term with it. Also, cause I was in the stands I paid more attention to the video screens and holy hell they should make this a dvd concert thing. The production on it was amazing.
