Pre going tonight thanks to someone on Twitter...I thought the setlist was lame but after being there—the energy people had for the songs was something special. I was in the stands and not a person was sitting, even people who were sitting for Weezer and The Interrupters. People were so into Green Day it was great to see and people lost it song after song. This setlist was for the masses and I’ve come to term with it. Also, cause I was in the stands I paid more attention to the video screens and holy hell they should make this a dvd concert thing. The production on it was amazing.

It’s such a depressing time and such a shit couple of years. I don’t know why but the BJA and Longshot accounts being deleted actually really hurt. As if any band owes any fan anything like that? No. But we were spoiled for years and it felt so fun and like a special little club/community and a connection and making friends with other fans and more. I understand a break I think everyone needs and deserves one but this going on this long is actually depressing as if there isn’t enough going on in every day life and around the world. The posts were such a pleasant surprise even when they were constant or once in a while and ranting or cute or whatever. Anything was always so nice for some reason. Billie Joe was so good at fan interaction despite and maybe especially because the band is so big and such a big deal. It meant so much for some reason to a lot us for whatever reason and it actually sucks a lot that those accounts are gone. Dormant ok… but gone is really sad. I hope they pop up again. It has happened. But never for this long and no I won’t get used to it and obviously not alone feeling that. I’m feeling very disconnected from being a fan during this era and on top of the pandemic and so much more this is like the cherry on top of a shit sandwich.

Kevin and the Jasons have been posting too, but it would be more impactful coming from main members of the band for most fans. So far Tré is the only one of the three who seems to be putting in any effort at all. You could use the excuse that they're all focused on the tour and playing concerts and whatever to be more involved, but that didn't hold them back during RevRad. The off the cuff, casual and silly behind the scenes stuff we got then was magnitudes better than anything they've done so far on this tour. The one video we got felt distant and staged and I'm not hopeful we'll even get more.

So glad you had a great time. The production does look awesome from the photos and videos I've seen

I feel like most people saying this tour sucks haven't actually been to a show lol. I get a lot of circumstances surrounding this tour are shitty but the show itself was awesome. You could tell the guys are really happy to be performing again. Even though the set was shorter than the typical GD set and no deep cuts, it still had that ~magical GD concert feeling. The staples are staples for a reason, because they are awesome songs live (glad they dropped KFAD though 😄)

So many dance moves so far this tour- I'll give him a 10 out of 10 with a Strictly Come Dancing score paddle I also love the occasions where he's been daft in front of the camera's- see 0.30

I think back to when he was doing No Fun Mondays and how good that felt to have something to look forward to during lockdown. Every week a new post, song and video. I was incredibly depressed from March through May 2020 and it really helped a lot

And this has got to be the whole point about the set list for this tour. I know many of us would rather have just GD but this is what we are getting and no other set list makes sense.

Caterers, wardrobe, etc. yes. It’s a lot like a film shoot

Is it awful that I would prefer it if FOB and Weezer couldn't play and I just got to see Green Day? 😅 Of course, the circumstances for that to happen would mean someone involved with those bands became sick, so obviously I don't really want that to actually happen. There's a small, selfish part of me that wouldn't be upset if it did, though.

I saw the thing for FOB online and some dude posted saying it was terrible they did that for FOB and not for Mark from Blink who has cancer... Makes me think of how toxic social media culture has become now. What is everyone's thoughts on the setlist? Just seems so predictable and boring to me. I get there's less time, they're sharing the stage with other bands. Some people online were saying the time restrictions force them to have to play only their hits but I see some small changes that could be made that would make it more intriguing.

I could use a little grounding too so thanks for that. Just when I’ve convinced myself I’m safe to travel and go to shows again I read about something worse that’s just around the corner. It’s exhausting.

I also don’t get these bubbles they’re supposedly in enforced by a covid protocol officer that allows for Kevin to be at a tennis tournament and Kevin, Jason, Bill, Tre and Sara to all go off roading. They can’t hang with the other bands but they can be out and about anywhere else? If any one of them catches covid at these things, Green Day are off the bill or canceling shows.
