I get that all this is difficult, however I’m a coffee fan and not broke but I still don’t/can’t justify spending so much on coffee, given that it’s high end to begin with, plus shipping plus additional import tax so this set up makes it feel excluding for non US fans. 😢

I really wonder if that's the case. It feels like that, anyway. Maybe that's because it's been literally almost 2 years since Billie's been able to have a face to face connection with fans in a concert setting and has just become disenchanted with online interaction in all forms. It's so wildly different having sterile, remote interactions over media than it is to be physically there in the same space with people. We don't know how he's feeling about fans because we can't ask him, so can only make assumptions that may or may not be true and that's probably not a great thing to do - for us or for Billie. I think he'll start appearing a lot more engaged and joyful once he gets back in the swing of playing shows again, though.

I miss the social media interaction. Like Twitter was abandoned and then Instagram was so fun. And now this. How good or interactive could it be? I liked the livestreams and the stories on Instagram. I am already disappointed by something that hasn’t happened but I am just thinking about how disappointing the little interviews were on the coffeehouse section of the site. Yeah they’re interviews on a site that sells coffee of course they’re contrived. No more live Instagram stories where Billie says… I think one time he was talking about something in the back of a taxi or Uber and he said something inappropriate. But I don’t remember it was an IG story that has been lost to the ages. I miss that stuff. Everything is going to be so… edited and thought about and not too silly. Like fake silly if it’s silly. Staged. Wait and see. I’m making assumptions. And I’m just whining because I miss the social media posts a lot. Wait and see. Maybe everything is going to be alright.

Love this ❤️ made me lol “Tré got jacked” and also Tre has been so extra impressive a lot lately ❤️ He’s jacked (lol but wooooo) and he’s super active and engaging and fun on social media and he seems to often be most likely to interact with fans right now (example he was “selling” tickets or whatever at the booth for the Whiskey). This seems so amazing. I wish they would do something like this. I knew the Idiot Club was going extinct (and from when I just tried to enter the site... looks like it no longer exists finally) but I wish they could revamp it. So I’m reading Trouble Boys, the biography of The Replacements and I learn that the band had a name for their Ford Econoline van that they used for their first national tour and it was Otis. Knowing how much Billie loves these guys I wonder if that’s where he got the idea from to name his studio that. (The ‘Mats got the name Otis from the drunk on The Andy Griffith Show) The trashed Otis van also appears on the back of their album Let It Be so it had to be pretty legendary and known to fans.

I mean yeah that does make it a tiny bit harder, but not impossible to stay trim. Look at Mike. And somehow Tré got jacked? What's Billie been doing? It's a possibility that he's a little more prone to putting on weight than the other two - he's always been the one who fluctuates most. Not a bad thing, though. Still looks gorgeous, strong, and young (50 isn't that old yet - I believe the CDC included people in their 40s and 50s who are dying of COVID in the "young" category. Kind of a morbid example, but there you go).

I was watching the Cain's Ballroom performances with my bf and he seemed to enjoy them....though he kept singing "Threat Level Midnight" during every song. So I guess he really likes that song, though I had to tell him that's a different band 😜

I get that but then just charge me a fair nominal price for tour content and I’ll pay it. Create your own fan website for perks like the old fan clubs for a fee, fine. Bad enough to be cut off from contact as a fan, but to be gouged too or alienated for not buying their coffee is just added injury. What did we do to deserve this? It’s never been so challenging to be a fan, it’s like they’re purposely making it harder. Just to weed out a few trolls?

Thinking about it now, I bet this works out better for them doing this stadium hits festival type tour with only one new single to have to fit into a short set. Now they’re free of album promotion where they would normally play 4-5 songs from the newest one. As much as we wanted to hear some of those, I think Pollyanna is the perfect single to play on this tour and now there’s more room in the set for other things. They’ve removed FOAM from their website too, now it just has the links to Pollyanna. That’s all they’re promoting and this is otherwise a hits tour.
