It's a Bush mask! I actually wrote a paper about it in college because we were supposed to choose an image and analyze the kind of statement it made. So naturally I chose a photo of Billie wearing the Bush mask that featured in an issue of Rolling Stone and discussed the political climate at the time, the war, and the provocative imagery that resulted from Billie's doing that. I believe I titled it "Green Day Rocks the Political World." I still have it. I should post it on here sometime. It's very old, so probably not as good as I could do now. I was proud of it at the time, though.

The vast majority of those cases are in unvaccinated people. That's where the danger lies. Still, there is a little bit higher chance of getting it even if you are vaxxed now thanks to the delta variant. Even if the vaccine prevents it from killing you or hospitalizing you, there are long term health effects that are known and yet unknown that can be life-changingly detrimental. I'm thinking it will be best to wear a mask at a concert as big as the ones on Hella Mega, even if you are fully vaxxed. It would be really bad news to get this thing! I wish people would still give a fuck. This pandemic isn't over and being flippant about safety is not helping to end it.

Well so far we've checked two boxes with Billie's GMA interview. He's got black hair and he's clean shaven. Now we just need to complete the holy trinity with some eyeliner. FOAM era has seemed to be fairly lacking in the eyeliner department thus far, but I really hope he will start wearing it again when they start playing on the tour. Sometimes he starts out with none or just a very light application at the beginning of a tour and then ramps it up further in, so if he's not wearing any next Saturday then all hope is not lost yet.
