Well so far we've checked two boxes with Billie's GMA interview. He's got black hair and he's clean shaven. Now we just need to complete the holy trinity with some eyeliner. FOAM era has seemed to be fairly lacking in the eyeliner department thus far, but I really hope he will start wearing it again when they start playing on the tour. Sometimes he starts out with none or just a very light application at the beginning of a tour and then ramps it up further in, so if he's not wearing any next Saturday then all hope is not lost yet.

Dookie era designed boxes with American Idiot themed dolls. It would be better to get two releases of the dolls with a Dookie era theme and American Idiot era theme - both eras so iconic and recognizable… However the design and the look with the no tattoos is such an oversight I’m glad that hopefully this will be the one and only release ever. Even though these are likely to become collectors items I am going to take a pass. Feels like a money grab to have a release that seems slapped together. I think it would be a good idea to have a panel of super fans ok some of this stuff. Who okays this? The lack of tattoos make my thoughts come to screeching halt unless there’s a real reason rather than just an oversight. Maybe there was a reason. Maybe someone is getting some tattoo removals or something.

If I remember correctly, I had scissors duty. Check. I handed hair dye duties over to @Squashie since I failed miserably at that. Check. Now it's up to @The Grohl to do the eyeliner. We're waiting! Forgot if we ever assigned razor duties to anyone, but good job on whoever did it!

Also makes a point about them not releasing both a Dookie and American Idiot line, which they absolutely should have done. That’s how we would have gotten Blue included (I disagree that it should have been included here, that would have made it more inaccurate, the LPJs go with the AI period). The lack of ink drives me nuts though. I want to take a Sharpie to them.

Currently, Justin and his team are in the Previz - which “allows us visualize the lighting programming in a computer environment without having to access the full production. For this particular exercise, that means whilst at full production rehearsals for Fall Out Boy and GreenDay, one act can be using the full stage set up while the other can remain productive in the previz suite, and both are able to switch easily from one set up to the other. Hey there! It cost $15, and everybody in my 30-person 30-min time slot bought one. It was limited to one vinyl per person until noon. After that time, presumably you could buy more. It cost $10 to reserve a spot in line (safety restrictions for number of people in the store at a time), and they credited that $10 to your purchase. I can’t find the vinyl on sale on the store’s website, so it may be sold out or only offered in store. They said that the vinyl will be sold online later in a different color variant, however. This version was limited to 500. Hope this helps! 😎

This was back when I had a knack for winning stuff on the radio. I mostly remember them trashing equipment on the tiny stage at the end of the set. Recently acquired this signed Kerplunk! booklet. When it arrived in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised to find that A) it was a Lookout copy, and B) that the CD was signed too!

Well, I had another one of my losing-my-lesson-plans-while-teaching dreams, but this one turned into a Green Day dream. I was teaching at some school and we were supposed to be having a snow day, but then I heard the school was opening in the afternoon so I was driving down a snowy road and someone was walking down the road wearing a giant Minecraft costume. Then I passed someone else dressed in another Minecraft costume without the head and later passed someone dressed as just the head. Then I arrived at the school and students were already there and I didn’t have my lesson plans. In this dream I had my own office but had to walk down the hall to get there and I saw some giant Minecraft costumes sitting on the floor. Then when I went in my office I found it so packed full of furniture and old toys I could not get to my desk. Someone explained that my parents had become tired of storing my old furniture and other things at their house so they brought it to my place of employment and shoved it in my office. (Note: in real life I have not stored anything at my parents’ house since 1998.) Then the school turned into some big building full of people. In one room a choir was rehearsing and preparing to do a recoding. Suddenly Billie Joe came walking through the crowd and entered the room and said he wanted to sing with the choir. So the director leaned out the door and called to the crowd, “Does anyone know if this guy named Billie Joe Armstrong can sing?” And I ran up to him and said, “Yes! He has the voice of an Angel and is an incredibly talented musician!” The director said, “Ok, then,” and closed the door. My best friend interpreted the dream and said the snowy road and packed office represent obstacles I will need to overcome and Billie Joe represents something wonderful once I pass the obstacles. However, she has no clue what the giant Minecraft costumes are supposed to represent.

I'm always excited for any Green Day content. I really hope this will be a new performance. Great points @pacejunkie punk and @Beerjeezus brought up. I guess it's to be expected that the band's own hype for FOAM has fallen by the way side seeing as it's literally been like 2 years since they were initially supposed to tour. The pandemic just went a fucked everything right up. I hope they can get excited about it once they start playing live shows again as Green Day. Maybe that will light their fires.

It took at least five years to hear what Billie really thought about the trilogy in hindsight I’m guessing we’re not far enough removed from it for honesty. Every album in some way feels like a course correction on the previous one so I’m guessing he’ll be up to talking about it once he’s talking up the next release. He’ll be all “I hate short songs that make you feel bad.” 😄

Still, I wonder what the deal with FOAM was... was it ever meant to be played live? Did they just put out whatever so that they could promote the tour? How does Billie feel about it now in hindsight? These are all questions I'd like to get answers to and most likely never will.

I had a dream where I jumped 10 years into the future and was a little apprehensive about how Green Day might look when I got there. I was not disappointed, though. Billie actually looked almost exactly the same, and he had gone back to wearing a little more eyeliner. In fact, he looked virtually like he did when they played GMA in 2017. I remember being really excited about this and making a note to report back to the fangirls that Billie will go back to wearing eyeliner and still look very beautiful. It was kind of a strange dream. I kind of thought 'wait, if it's just footage of GD, then how could it be from the future. Maybe this isn't real and it is just from 2017.' I think it wasn't just that, though. I think it was actually the future in the dream.

When it feels like GDA has been down for 15 years when in fact it was only a decade.

Hopefully this side project gets the rest of Billie's shit songs out of his system so he can go back to making good rock n roll Edit: sorry I'm tired and cranky
