Just scheduled my first covid shot in Pittsburgh at the Peterson Events Center almost exactly four years to the day of when I was last there — to see Green Day for the first time ☺️ How cool is that?!5 points

That’s fine if tickets haven’t been sold yet, but for postponed shows that already sold tickets to near capacity, what are they gonna do, randomly refund 80% of tickets? They couldn’t anyway because the tour would lose so much money they wouldn’t be able to do it3 points

Had my vaccine today at our brand new, not yet been used for purpose concert venue! Had to come out past the dressing rooms, took a quick peak just in case I needed to know what they look like in the future ..... wishful thinking but hey 🧐3 points

They should have put Mike Dirnt as his Vice and then accuse BJA of colluding with Putin.2 points

If it was real... you know, I actually would enjoy if someone with a sense of humor snatched the Republican nomination1 point

Someone filled out the form that you use to sign up for the election for him, using fake information and it was accepted and published, but he’s not actually running because fake submissions will be omitted from the actual election.1 point

I think it's from an old Guardian (UK newspaper) article. I have it somewhere with all the guys on it. Will have to see if I can find it1 point

This is why I really do not think it'll happen this year. Sure, stadiums might be opened to reduced capacity but what are they gonna do for events with tickets sold already? What will they do for people who have pit tickets? Obviously what we once had as pit cannot happen right now. It'll honestly be a shit show if it tries to go ahead this year. They need to postpone or cancel. I know if they go ahead for whatever reason this year, I will be looking to sell my tickets as I really don't feel comfortable being in a pit with thousands of other people, with hundreds of those people likely being unvaccinated. No thank you.1 point

The other address, the one listed for green day, is in the Valley (San Fernando). Pretty sure they aren't in the valley...1 point

Oh no it’s spreading https://www.radio.com/music/rock/is-billie-joe-armstrong-running-for-president A part of me wants this to catch on, because it would be funny, but at the same time I’m thinking “oh no everybody is going to think Billie is a total buffoon again”1 point

I was curious about the address, so I googled it. It's a car dealership (Chevy/GM). 🤣😂 Oh man... Yahoo news got PLAYED!1 point

Even if this is it and they’re at the stage of their career when they release b-sides and forget lyrics, it’s okay. They’ve had a great career.1 point

I like the new network album. Theory of reality asphyxia are the cherry on the pie. This tour was supposed to be my first ever Green Day concert but got cancelled due to this stupid virus. I just wish Billie became the same young and reckless guys who inspires people. I just think this covid has been testing people’s mentality and don’t think Green Day has passed it. Here comes the shock was a big let down. I like that you’re staying positive and hope to god the boys will be back soon with some new killer sound. I really need them now.1 point

What do you think of The Network album? It's literally the same people so I think even if you're not a fan of FOAM there's hope. I wouldn't write them off based on one 10 song album and a random song that's probably an outtake from it anyway though. Also if the tour hadn't been cancelled due to covid they would've been killing it live all year which might've given things a more positive perspective. Just my thoughts on it.1 point

When you remember it's St. Patrick's Day and the only thing about it that matters to you is the anniversary of Billie's naked window post. What is that photo from? I've seen a few pictures of that event and Billie is extremely cute there. I've never bothered to figure out where it's from, though. Is it an interview? If there's footage of it then I'd love to see it.1 point

I too would like them to work with Butch Vig again. I don’t know if any of you listened to The Nimrods Podcast but they are not fans of FOA and every time Butch Walker was mentioned they called him “the wrong Butch”, made me chuckle every time 😁1 point

Yes, looks like it - we wanted the next few pics but sadly have not surfaced 😂😂 Did your mum not warn you about the quiet ones 🤣🤣1 point

I had a dream that Green Day got on stage and said “this is the best song we’ve ever written” and started playing here comes the shock last night1 point

I'd be quite happy if we started getting more music but less touring from Green Day in the future.1 point

The only thing amazing about that song is that it managed to get a 30 + page thread discussing it !!1 point

Maybe it was a bit of expectations too. Even without the whole MOOTIK scandal, I remember this feeling of, it’s been over three years since RevRad, it was an amazing happy tour they’re feeling grateful and fired up and anxious to make more music they say, The Coverups was fun, The Longshot was amazing but if those songs didn’t make the Green Day cut they must really be saving something special for a Green Day release, first album under new management, new ambitions, etc. etc. and then.... a scribbled album cover, 10 songs, 26 total minutes of music. Every time I played it it was just over so fast. That was it? I think that was my first impression I mean I liked what I was hearing mostly but... that was it?1 point

Ok so idk who to quote but this is my take. The only thing that concerns me is their health and their mindset regarding being on top of the world or whatever. During the revrad era they seemed healthier in pretty much every sense. About the lack of "great songs. I'm not concerned or mad, just disappointed in the sense that I know their potential and i know nobody can do what they do and well it seems like they're wasting their "good years" with silly music. I used to look to blink and feel they were so childish by wanting to appeal to the youth (being in their 40s and talking about ditching school and stuff). Nowadays it seems that GD is doing the same. But at the same time releasing more meaningful stuff with side projects(money money 2 & the longshot) and act as if they're afraid of actual musical evolution with their name on it (the network-foxboro). My rant here is more directed towards fans that won't take the people concerned about their health seriously and won't accept their music is on decline and we're just haters for pointing it out, again I know the gd fanbase is so toxic and this is not coming from that place. And they make up excuses for them like "no, that song is for nfl and they just don't care" or something like there's this conspiracy theory that GD is sabotaging itself because they hate warner and stuff. The reality points otherwise, GD is probably one of a few huge bands that have a healthy relationship with it's label and with the media (kerrang, mtv, etc). Also is fair to point out that a fan made album felt better to us than the actual new album by them, and that speaks for itself. I, as a fan of almost 20 years know they can be better and you do too.1 point
