^^ Man, that was poorly written. Spelling Billie wrong, spelling whine wrong, thinking KYE was the album to follow AI, guessing IWATT might be the longest track rather than just looking at the tracklist to confirm, thinking the rock and roll tragedy line was one of the "few" dark moments on the album... Sheesh.4 points

Tre really does look so much better since he ditched the blue/green hair and that photo with Mickey on the drums is adorable4 points

Every time I listen to Graffitia I feel like there's a whole story buried in this wonderful (and too short!) song I want to know more about. Can I have a full concept album that takes place in Graffitia please?4 points

My mug is being held hostage at the UK post office at the moment. I always wonder why I buy stuff from the US store, I always end up resenting it at some point. The lovely little mug was $12, shipping $12.99 and now I have been hit with a $15 customs charge. Nearly $40 for a lightweight little mug. I am starting to realise who the real mug is in all of this 😑3 points

And I waiting with all my heart for next album with hope this going for MUCH better. xx 🥺 Ps: Is my opinion guys, don't take for your heart if you love the album.2 points

I'm listening to the 1998 acoustic session from KALX radio and I either forgot it exists or I never heard it, but anyway, I'm absolutely freaking out. this is incredible edit: this version of Jinx really makes it stand out as the sad "I'm a bad person to have a relationship with" song and I prefer it to the album version (that never really worked for me)2 points

I don't think Mike and Tre have been that involved since 21CB. It's sort of the Billie show featuring Billie and the Yes Men.1 point

Wouldn't be surprised if they played a warm up gig in LA or SF. Could be a club or smaller arena. They have usually done something like that before other big tours. Bands almost always do dress rehearsals but don't always sell tickets to them.1 point

Agreed, though he was right about IWATT. I don't know why people are having so much trouble analyzing the lyrics to any song but Junkies. Like yes a couple tracks seem to be pretty simple, but there's a good amount of depth on the album. I kind of wonder if a couple songs like IWATT and MMOTR had been swapped for two songs more in line with Graffitia or Oh Yeah (subject matter wise) would people have gotten more of the political/state of the world undertones? I think if they had actually done "AI part 2", it would've been a much bigger success, but maybe a weaker album. I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen any reviews acknowledge that possibility. Unless I missed it, which is possible since there's so many.1 point

I get your point and I laughed but I would be remiss if I didn't say to everyone "You've know you've made it when you smile and say 'I love my life'", regardless of what you do, how much money you make, and everything in between. I know people with millions who would shoot themselves if they didn't have other depending on them and the happiest person I know doesn't have two dimes to scrape together and lost his fiance at 22. I don't mean to preach, and I know your comment was benign but I am feeling transcendent today here as I do my weekly read through the posts.1 point

Who are the people that work at these band stores? I get a starstruck feeling just emailing these places for some reason, even though I know it's not the band. I had an issue at the Against Me! store where I kept getting the wrong shirt over and over. Had this really great conversation where I was able to be really corny and say I wouldn't hold it AGAINST Against Me! (The person said they hoped I wouldn't feel differently toward the band because of the issue). Are these people friends of the band? Are they just working class heros? Could I email them and say "hey - can Billie Joe send me a free Les Paul??" And would I get that Les Paul before Omega 3000 comes out?1 point

Short article here from Metalcastle: https://www.metalcastle.net/green-days-billie-joe-armstrong-reveals-important-touches-about-father-of-all-album/ GREEN DAY’S BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG REVEALS IMPORTANT TOUCHES ABOUT ‘FATHER OF ALL’ ALBUM In a new interview with WMMR, Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the American rock band Green Day, has talked about the band’s fifteenth and latest studio album Father of All Motherfuckers, which was released on February 7, 2020, via Reprise Records, and revealed important touches about it. When the interviewer said, “So this 10-song album, ‘Father of All Motherfuckers,’ is available on CD and vinyl. The record was originally 16 songs, but you cut it down to 10. I think at 10, it’s the shortest thing in Green Day history. I’m wondering, why you cut the six songs?”, Billie Joe Armstrong said he need to pick 10 songs, which gonna go on. “I think we were trying to come up with, like, sequencing a record is one of the hardest parts about making a record, so I had 16 songs, and I was putting them in sequence, and I was having a difficult time. “So then I was, like, ‘I need to just pick my top 10 favorites that I know that I know are gonna go on.’ And I was, like, ‘That’s the record right there, those are the 10 songs.’” Billie also explained why this is the shortest album since their fourth studio album Insomniac, which was released on October 10, 1995. “And it’s sort of a departure of what we’ve been doing in the past because we’ve done rock operas, we’ve done concept records, we did three albums with 36 songs on them and stuff like that, so it’s the shortest album I think we’ve made since ‘Insomniac.’” Green Day‘s “Father of All Motherfuckers” album has debuted atop the UK Albums Chart and Australian ARIA Albums Chart, among others.1 point

The line "I found a knife by the railroad track / You took a train and you can't go back" from Outlaws always reminds me of one of my favourite scenes from the Harry Potter books. In the last book where Harry meets Dumbledore at King's Cross and Dumbledore tells him "I think that if you decided not to go back, you would be able to ... let's say ... board a train" and Harry asks him: "And where would it take me?" And Dumbledore replies: "On." And I'm like1 point
