I remember when that video of Billie wearing the unicorn mask came out at the end of RevRad, and anytime I wanted to find it, all I had to do was search "unicorn", boom, no problem. Because how often did anyone mention that word on a Green Day forum? Now? 331 results for unicorn and 56 for unicorns.

I’d like to think that the people who aren’t rushing to social media to bitch are more positive about this decision. Remember, commenters are only a fraction of the audience. As GDC is only a fraction of Green Day’s fans.

I agree. While it's painful to wait for more songs, I think the next single should come out right before the album drops. Then another a month down the road. Then the throw-away, not very well promoted 5th single a month or two after that. But this time they actually care about that last single and it's a hit too.

Viewer ship (Tv) of the all star game is .... meh. the crowd at the game is usually large/sold out. TV only shows 1 maybe 2 songs of the entertainment.

That and the safety hazard of pyrotechnics on an ice rink.

2 months till this album comes out and 5 months till I finally get to see after 7 year break my favorite band live! Oh boy how good have they sounded this year.. I hope the album is not overfiltered mess but even if it would be, I'm sure live perfomances would make songs sound better (just listen Father of All!). If they're ever gonna play Fire, Ready, Aim, it's surely happening next month, right? They're playing on hockey arena, so why not debut that song there?

I felt that on a high level. I don't care for weezer or FOB. I really do want to see GD because I missed them the last time they came to my city, but idk if I'm ready to fork out the cash (last time I checked ticketmaster, standing room tix were like $600+) and sit through the other 2 just to get to GD...

What you wrote is actually very close to the meaning of the lyrics according to what the band has told us so far, not a big stretch at all. As someone noted before, kicking the dog is an actual common idiom, and it does link to social media in the context of this song. The song is about social medias and the sick attack without thought colture characterizing them. FRA has not been written for hockey, even if it perfectly fits they way it is used there.

You forget that some of us also bought an album that had the song “Dominated Love Slave” in it.

I don’t really think it’s fair to make a decision like buying an album solely on the title of a song. I was pretty young and Wasn’t following the band at the time, but I’ll tell ya that if I saw the title Jesus of Suburbia, I would’ve been hesitant to listen to it. On the flip side, I remember I saw the title Little Boy Named Train and I imagined this really epic song, but it turned out to be one of my least favorite songs. just because you don’t like their music now doesn’t mean they don’t care about quality. They are just trying out a new sound and it’s exciting to see that.
