  1. Billie is marinated in charisma.

  2. When, while you're waiting with your cat at the vetenarian clinic, you learned that the dog to your left, the one to your right and the one the secretary is talking about on the phone right in front of you are all named Rocky. I miss Billie's Rocky:

  3. This video is so badass : I love watching Green Day play songs from their first albums, the joy and energy they put in it, especially Billie, as if it was their first time playing it, or their last time, anyways with an always renewed pleasure. My favorite songs are for the most part among their latest half of albums, but seeing how Billie performs the older songs, especially some of them such as Basket Case and She, is something that brings a lot to my love and admiration for him. And never fails to brighten my day. Thank God this man exists.

  4. Weezer's Green Day cover is bland (and also pathetically censored switching "fucked" for "hugged"). I feel like Rivers Cuomo doing something with Billie would equal blandness. I like Dave Grohl but I can't really imagine his voice with Billie's. Would be kind of interesting to hear but again...Foo Fighters aren't as interesting as Green Day. Collaborating with rock acts that are more generic sounding than themselves seems like it would result in less rather than more interesting music. See their collaboration with U2, or any other general rock act they've played with or written for.

  5. Thing 2 and I were driving today & Bohemian Rhapsody came on the radio - don't know what the other motorist thought but we thought we were at a GD concert

  6. I could see either but think Billie and Rivers could be interesting. I still think Billie and a Pink could sound great together.

  9. The only Limp Bizkit song I could stand was a cover of Behind Blue Eyes. Linkin Park I loved and still love for days when I need some aggression-type music at the gym to work off stress and annoyances from my job.

  10. He just looks so happy and relaxed (and maybe a little exhausted). BUT LEGS!!! SKIN!!! Holy leg muscles, Billie. Why you hidin' that?

  11. It was during the 21st CB tour in South America (in Peru maybe?). I don't think there was ever any explanation other than there's llamas there so he was on one Edit: It was in Colombia in 2010. It was posted on GD's twitter and yeah no explanation for it

  13. I loved watching the two of them interact in all of the videos that have been posted. The pasta scene was hilarious! 😂 “i stole it!”

  14. He just gave a speech at the honorary citizenship ceremony they held for him and he said this was one of best experiences of his life and he promises he will be back to see his family and friends again.

  15. He is looking oh so beautiful in all of the Italy pics. What a gorgeous man. He looks so happy in most of them too. I'm also kinda in love with this pic of him playing the harp:

  18. Based on Adrienne's instagram, looks like 80, Jason, and Jason's wife. Something tells me none of them are as effective as Bill or his bodyguard at helping him out of those mobs. Poor guy probably had to take like 30 photos just tryin to leave his hotel. He's always a good sport about it but the man deserves an actual vacation.

  19. Seeing them play together makes me so emotional when you think of little Billie singing and playing with his dad on drums. Full circle 💕

  21. That new pic of Billie in the longshot album thread is yummy. Can that shirt collar be any lower? *drools* Also this one in black and white with Be Silently clearly visible.

  22. It always freaks me out when people have beards without the mustache. Why, Mike, why?!
    1 point
  23. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's Kevin. It does look like Billie at first glance though. Is this why they started wearing matching shirts - to confuse the fuck out of us. It's funny because when we first found out who was in the Longshot, I found it amusing that they all had dark hair. With Green Day, we were used to one black-haired guy, one blonde-haired guy and one blue-haired guy (in the RevRad era at least). So with the Longshot, I remember thinking "Hey, they're matching" (well, kind of anyway). I didn't think that would be causing problems further down the line lol.

  24. Really? That's 100% Billie. His face shape, his hair, the tattoo on his chest. The smile is what really gives it aways for me. Only Billie has that kind of smile. I can see how you might not be able to tell right off the bat, though, what with the angle and shadow. You are not a terrible fan! Lol ^^^Oh my god that is the cutest shit ever!

  26. Thank you @gaslight13, @Green Day In Seattle and @IcyMoffatt for your responses. At work today one of my two lawyers was like "no way, I need you precisely at that time and July is always a mess with tons of work" (surprisingly his answer wasn't "but you've just seen Billie!" like someone told me ) but I told him I will still buy a trip for 5 days, Friday - Wednesday, and if I can't go because of work to be done, it will be okay, I'll have no regrets for the money. (I think I could remake the same savings within 6 months; benefiting from an allowance fund for my studio it's not hard saving a bit every month. I wanted to use what I have now for a tattoo this summer, but it can wait). The fact I got that ticket makes me want to go and do another crazy trip. It felt so exciting to go see Billie by doing something crazy like that and doing it again tempts me a lot. My boss responded that I'll just waste my money because I won't go, it's probable but, even if so, I will be okay. This evening I have stayed a bit longer to work with him, it's been a long while since we hadn't worked together like that and I loved it as I always do; he knows I'm staying later not only because I'm fine with it but also because I want to do everything I can to help him with work as to be able to leave the office for 3 days in a few weeks, and at the same time I know that if I miss it for having to work with him like we have today, it will be okay for me. I'd sell my ticket on the Friday I should have been gone (and I think in the precipitation of buying it I also bought a parking place, which is completely useless for me, I just kept clicking on yes frenetically , so I'd sell it too, starting with here if someone is interested). So for now I'll by my trip tonight and I'll see what happens. I saw that Oakland is not close to Santa Ana but I will plan to make a stop there even for 1 or 2 days, on the week-end before the gig, if I go. If not, I intend to do a better and longer trip to California in the future anyways . While I couldn't sleep last night right after getting that damned ticket, I went pic hunting (it always works to calm myself down) and found those - first ones from Belfast show on last June (already!), second ones from last November: I think I've just fallen in love all over again with his long hair as well as his short hair. He looks so good in both case. I love every detail of him. Beautiful man.

  27. Totally. Not even just singing but when he speaks too. I think he used to kind of throw his voice to make it sound deeper as well as just being more sullen in interviews, plus just sang in a snottier/grumpier style that would be naturally lower sounding. Now he sings differently, is more cheerful in interviews and I guess stopped caring that his voice is a little high and stopped disguising it, which is cool.

  28. You may have a healthier outlook on it than I do but shows, and especially shows that are even better than others, are like a drug to me. The crash is brutal and I always crave more and stronger. Weirdly, I don’t get that rush from shows like Philly or from tattoos though I know a lot of people do. I get it from mosh pits though. But if I could relive Philly exactly as it was today I’d say no thanks. Any of the others though, gladly. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful. It blows my mind to have been as lucky as I was with these shows. But that’s exactly why it’s hard. It doesn’t help that I’ve been ridiculously spoiled with my other top artist and regularly get to be close to him/them and so on. So it’s harder when you get a taste of that here but then it’s gone. But enough of my negativity! I removed the Santa Ana part of your post in my response because I’m trying to avoid thinking of it at all costs because I can’t go for the reasons you mentioned, haha, but just want to wish you all the luck in the world! Have fun!

  29. Maybe Billie is letting Mike know that he’s back now and he misses him too 😘😍

  30. I see it more as before I hadn't got to be close to him, and now I have and I'll always have had that experience and know what it's like forever. Like I "achieved" the goal and anything else in the future is a bonus. Depends how you look at it I guess. It was intense because I saw my first ever GD show and then only one week later I was suddenly seeing FBHT with 24 hours notice and being right up close to Billie, and then I was ill (the most ill I've been in my life) for two weeks with bad flu that I caught there being delirious with fever dreams and stuff so the whole thing was like a crazy dream. I guess I can't imagine how anything could ever equal that so I don't even consider the possibility. Of course seeing Billie/GD etc in a small setting again would be awesome though, wouldn't say no to a London Longshot show.

  31. I kind of enjoy it , it's funny and I can think "I touched that guy hehehe". Plus there's always the high probability of seeing him again at the next GD tour even if it isn't quite as close.
    1 point
  32. Yes exactly, any important or iconic event. It's just so weird to think of him in front of you giggling with his bandmates or ruffling his hair or whatever when watching anything like that.
    1 point
  33. 😲 I hadn’t thought of that but you’re right. It doesn’t seem like the same person at all. In a similar way I sometimes look at him now and think this is the same person from Woodstock and Jaded in Chicago and that also seems weird.

  34. You'll see him again! And just think of all the great memories and pics and vids you have to revisit now you've had this great experience, so much awesomeness to enjoy looking back on. Really glad you got to see them after you thought you wouldn't get to btw, I love it when everything works out in the end! Does anyone else find it weird to see him at some big grand event like the Grammys or RnR Hall of Fame after seeing him joking around and not like a rock god at all etc at a small show? It's really hard to put the two contrasting images of him together, and it's like how is it possible I was I so close to that person?
    1 point
  35. Come on, a few days ago you were saying you'll never get to attend a show with him performing, now you've just had that great experience seeing him from very close. Of course it will happen again. Take the 'shots' adage: sooner or later, probably sooner If my memory serves me well this is the picture Billie posted last year at Mike's birthday, it's still one of my favorites with he and Mike: awww

  40. I love these two pics of our wonderful happy little dork. Those big beautiful eyes in the first one... so enticing. And that adorable smile (and gorgeous eye wrinkles) in the second one - he is absolutely glowing. I love seeing my boy this happy. Wow... he's just the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life. He's so perfect, I could cry. I love him so much.

  41. I guess he is between 5'6 and 5'7 and just rounds up to the highest by saying he's 5'7. But he could also be shorter, I'm 1 or 2 cm shorter than you, and I found him to look so tiny You look great! I'd say don't delete the post
