Not sure what the general consensus is on it, but I think Rotting is criminally underrated. I love everything about it.5 points

Omg Billie's even brought Jason into his puppetry madness. Also it's cute how he couldn't help mentioning Adrienne being from there and being Lebanese. He really likes talking about his family's names/locations/background.4 points

The thing where people say "I'm [insert list of 10 different nationalities from their distant ancestry]" is definitely an American thing, but I don't think this is an example of it. Grandparents aren't "ancestors", if two of them are Lebanese then her parent is Lebanese and she's half Lebanese. Being an American citizen doesn't mean her heritage/race can't be something other than just American. Anyway I'm just mildly amused by how Billie will take any chance he can get to talk about his name, his family's names and where they're from etc. He's proud of it and it's nice.3 points

Mmm maybe the person didn't want to bother them for pictures while the were having dinner, a lot of people do this kind of pics for that reason, I mean, you never know how they're going to react if you ask for a picture in a moment like that. Besides, it's not like the picture is showing them doing something very private or whatever. And no, I'm not saying this is right or wrong, but I mean, it's not the first person to post a picture like that one.3 points

The entire album is pretty much a lyrical masterpiece tbh. I could do without Brat but apart from that the album is pretty much perfect, IMO3 points
-
i can see why tight wad hill wouldn't be appealing but the lyrics are amazing. But then every single lyric in insomniac is fucking awesome3 points
-
I have no idea how I would react but I think I would feel a little guilty for sneaking a pic, but I can see how I wouldn't want to disturb them at their meal too. Oh, the agonies!2 points
-
I think this is partly an American thing as the overwhelming majority have come from somewhere else at some point, but I think it's more linked to how strongly you feel connected to your cultural history, e.g. Adrienne' family seem to feel it as they often mention eating a Lebanese food at holiday get together so it seems important to them. As a Scot, I often think the most fervently Scottish Scots are the ones who live somewhere else! I'm not a tartan wearing haggis eating Scot!2 points

I'm so sorry Tim, I had no idea you were dyslexic. Since you clearly read my list backwards. I will just remind you then, Insomniac is at the bottom, dead last, by far with no comparison2 points
-
I guess a lot of us would react different in this situation, I'd probably would do the same, take a pic like this cause I'll be to scare to ask for one and even more cause for someone like me would be a miracle to found them in some place lol. But I wouldn't tag them and their whole family, that was wrong. Exactly my thoughts but whatever.2 points
-
Oh well, it's still obviously an important part of her heritage and family life. Different families maintain different parts of their heritage more or less than others. People call her part Lebanese because that's how Billie describes her. Anyway I'm not sure how I got into a debate about how Lebanese someone is but I don't really think it matters, was just sweet how Billie was eager to mention her/stuff about her.2 points

LOL, poor Jason. He looks like he's thinking "How the f*ck did i get dragged into this nonsense!?"2 points

I understand, but you have to realize that just because they're famous doesn't mean their privacy shouldn't be respected. How would you feel if someone snapped a picture of you and posted it online? This person posted it on Instagram and tagged all of them and their families in it, so they must have been hoping for a reaction. I can't blame Tré for being annoyed by it and I can't blame him for commenting that, since he is in that picture and it has been taken without his consent. Even their own fans are acting like paparazzi. I know it's tempting but you should have a certain amount for respect for people and not disturb them in private moments - which I think this is - and treat them like human beings and not like walking sensations. I just don't think that's okay and they have a right to be bothered by it2 points

Just an opinion. In mine, it tears it to pieces! Just can't take Blink very seriously, but that is just my opinion. Never hated them, and have owned a few albums, they just don't quite do it for me like Green Day.2 points

I like the Kerplunk-version of Welcome to Paradise better than the Dookie-version.2 points

Oh, damn right!! Tight Wad Hill rules. Drugstore hooligan, another white trash mannequin, on display to rot up on the hill!! Fuckin amazing lyrics, love it.2 points

We've got to get them to play Bouncing off the Wall atleast once this tour! That song would set the crowd on fire, almost to the extent that KYE did back in 2009!2 points

Bouncing Off The Wall would be sooo much better live.2 points

Well for me it wasn't problematic cause it was a cute picture and like I said, we've seen a lot like that one. This is going to keep happening so I don't think there's anything we can do about it, just maybe not posting those here.1 point

Dos before Nimrod and Insomniac?! Now that's an unpopular opinion.1 point

Thank you. You answered my question best. It's one of those things that being European we take for granted that everyone/most people have an eclectic and multicultural background if they are from the US because most people emigrated there at some point. It's what actually makes the US great (fuck you Trump). It's why I was stumped when I saw Joey's post the first time because I thought Adrienne or her parents had emigrated and that was why fans often call her Lebanese. I see now my guess was right... It's a sort of American habit.1 point

If she/he didnt want to bother them to ask for permission, then dont take the picture. Best try to be better people then fucking TMZ.1 point

This is one of those "is it an American thing?" moments I often have. Here goes. Is it an American thing to consider yourself Lebanese if your grandparents emigrated to America as teenagers over 110 years ago?! So for over one hundred years generations of your family are born in the US and marry other US citizens etc and are US citizens. I'm curious because Joey posted on IG that his great grandparents emigrated as teenagers over 110 years ago so I can't see how Adrienne is Lebanese. Her ancestors were. I mean technically Billie is from half of Europe by that logic and so is most of the US Agree. Tre overreacted. It's a picture of their backs in a public place. Shocking. His logic - the fan is a creep who should have interrupted their meals instead. Stupid.1 point

I can do it for you, but it is pretty easy. Plus Stop Drop and Roll doesn't count, don't you make me try and fit that in. AI/Rev Rad - its a tie Warning 21CB Dookie DOS Nimrod Tre Uno Kerplunk 39 Smooth Insomniac1 point

Eh, no. At least with Rev Rad they took a few risks; I remember many people on here being surprised by its sound at first. California is pretty cookie-cutter as far as blink-182 goes, even with the addition of Matt Skiba. Either way I think it's an apples-to-oranges comparison.1 point
-
So I used to have an 'unpopular' opinion, but I've changed my mind. I've said before that KYE should be after Bang Bang and Rev Rad, but having watched footage of my gig again, I actually like the KYE - Bang Bang - Rev Rad order. I think I probably went into my gig expecting to not like that order.1 point

I love how they're enjoying the "Green Day in Green Bay" thing. I know they were once going to play there in their early days but the show ended up cancelled so it must be nice to finally do it!1 point

Well, here's my tracklists for the CDs I made for someone who has never heard AI, 21cBD, the Trilogy or RevRad but is very familiar with the older material. This is how I saw a progression to where they are today and how they have evolved in similar yet at the same time completely different sounds. Disc 1: Scattered / Hearts Collide Christie Road / Outlaws Why Do You Want Him? / Fell For You Castaway / East Jesus Nowhere Haushinka / Extraordinary Girl You Lied / Bouncing Off the Wall All the Time / Horseshoes and Handgrenades Pulling Teeth / Give Me Novocaine Private Ale / Amanda No Pride / Last of the American Girls Rotting / Wild One One of my Lies / Murder City Disc 2: 2000 Light Years Away / Youngblood No One Knows / Before the Lobotomy Reject / She's a Rebel Waiting / Last Night on Earth Fashion Victim / Too Dumb to Die Deadbeat Holiday / The Static Age Jackass / Stray Heart Walking Alone / Whatsername At the Library / Stay the Night Misery / Say Goodbye Hitchin a Ride / Brutal Love Feel free to post ones you feel connect the dots!!!1 point

You are SO not alone in feeling this way! I was just about to come on here to say that. I think it might be the way the RS editors edit the interviews or something, because the guys never sound quite like themselves in their interviews. I think they completely chop up their quotes, because they don't flow naturally whatsoever. And to be honest, they always sound kinda weird and defensive in Rolling Stone interviews. I can't help but think that's because of how it's edited, because this is the only publication where I ever think that. Loved Billie's quote about the "Harry Potter generation," I think he's dead on with that. And nice Oakland Coffee plug, Mike. Shameless. EDIT: Billie's comment about being able to play deeper cuts at club shows, but not in arenas. Armstrong, I could smack you. That was the same fucking setlist. Oh my god.1 point

I'd probably put it in my top 20! Basslines and lyrics.1 point
